Cold War Two- The West Is Not Anti-Russia. Just Anti-Putin.

#NeverTrump

Cold War Two is heating up, as the diplomatic conflict between Britain and Vladimir Putin, caused by the murder by poison of ex-double agent Sergei Skripal is reaching a fevered pitch. Moscow’s embassy in London has been urging Russians against traveling to the UK or sending children to school there.

Putin’s orders to the embassy were to tell their citizens that British authorities may single out Russians for various persecutions, citing “the anti-Russian policies and an escalation of the British side’s threatening rhetoric”.

The Russian embassy even urged fans of football team CSKA Moscow flying to London for Thursday’s Europa match with Arsenal to exercise “extra vigilance” because of Britain’s “anti-Russian campaign”.

Britain does not even have an anti- Russia campaign.

It doesn’t even have an official anti-Putin campaign, although it needs one.

Everything everywhere needs to have an anti-Putin campaign. Not anti-Russia. Anti-Putin.

The two are not synonymous. Russia produced Stalin and Putin, it’s true, but it gave us Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, and Alexei Navalny as well. Russian people are not our foes unless they’re here on Putin’s orders to disrupt and destroy our countries. And even then, they’re just extensions of Putin.

Millennial Democrats would like to extend our sympathy and solidarity with Russia’s people, and with all good people everywhere who are stuck beneath the heel of that tyrant, or any other tyrant.

Putin has continuously kept pushing this matter. He’s not going to just let it go. He’s angry because he’s finally met resistance where there didn’t use to be any.

Next, Putin ordered the summoning of British ambassador Laurie Bristow on Friday. He wanted to tell her that London is being given a month to cut the number of diplomatic staff in Russia to the same number Russia has in Britain.

The measure came after Russia expelled 23 British diplomats, closed a British consulate in Saint Petersburg and halted the activities of the British Council educational and cultural organization last month.

Bristow was evicted by Putin along with the heads of missions from 23 other countries, almost all of whom are EU member states.

Russia suggested parity. The British side has more than 50 more people,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told AFP.

Parity? Did we come into your lands, and poison anyone you granted asylum, Vladimir? It probably wouldn’t be too hard to get at Julian Assange, the pet rat you keep in that Ecuadorian embassy cage(they just shut off his Internet! LOL!), but we don’t, out of respect for the rule of law.

There’s no parity in Putin expelling a single one of those diplomats. We didn’t do anything to him. We’re not the ones extending tentacles of chaos all throughout the world, encouraging ethnic violence and poisoning people we disagree with. We are also not the ones who keep on with continuous escalation.

The Pentagon’s concern this whole time has been not that Putin is strong, or fearsome, but rather that he’s getting old and sloppy.

They fear that he’s finally deluded himself into thinking he’s rebuilt the Soviet Union- Russia’s economy is a sixth of what the Soviets enjoyed- and will make a gross miscalculation that leads us all into war, as Hitler eventually did.

The way in which Putin is encouraging distrust among his people against any outsiders is also Hitleresque. A tyrant needs to have his country’s population scared and angry so that they will fight like desperate men, if he wants to try and conquer the world by force.

But he had better realize he will never have enough power. You cannot kill the human desire for freedom. And you cannot push us into giving up what we hold sacred. Donald Trump will not be in power forever.

Hitler found this out, too, once upon a time. The Western powers are goodhearted and kind and will give you the benefit of the doubt. But don’t be fool enough to delude yourself into thinking that means you can push us past a certain point. Or sooner or later, you will find two things out the hard way.

First, that the West has a very hard core.

And second, that we do not like being cheated.

Tillerson Gone, Russia Probe Over- Thoughts on our Political Landscape.

I think Rex will be much happier now.
Hello, world, from Millennial Democrats! Today a number of millennial observations have been collected and given a voice about what is going on right now in America. We wanted to know how people are feeling about the Republican decision to end their congressional probe relating to Russian meddling into our election in 2016. So we asked around and asked for some opinions.
As always, the opinions expressed therein are not necessarily the views of the organization as a whole.
The Republican congressional panel had barely finished announcing that it had found no evidence of collusion between President Trump’s campaign and the Kremlin during the 2016 election before the Russian embassy was on Twitter boasting about it.
One Millennial Democrats contributor said to another, A lot of this posturing is all because Putin is up for reelection. The response was, “Lol, what election? You mean that day that people go out in the streets and move around randomly in Russia?”
Yeah. In other news, Rex Tillerson has been sacked as Secretary of State, replaced by CIA director Mike Pompeo.
“I think Rex will be much happier now,” Trump said, hilariously.
That makes five top Trump administration officials to have resigned or been fired, in the last two weeks. It’s absolute chaos in there. Trump’s entire circle is in total meltdown.
Director of the National Economic Council Gary Cohn, who was Trump’s top economic adviser, resigned from the White House last week after a dispute over new tariffs on steel and aluminum.
Hope Hicks, Trump’s communications director and longtime confidante, resigned late last month.
Trump’s longtime personal aide John McEntee was fired and escorted from the White House on Monday, sources tell CNN.
And Josh Raffel, a senior spokesman who worked extensively with Trump’s daughter and senior adviser Ivanka Trump, left the White House last month.
In other news, the GOP, as the majority party in the House of Representatives, has shut down their probe into the Russian interference into our election. Tom Rooney(R-Fla.) came out right away in condemnation of this, saying “We have lost all credibility”, but only now that it’s safe. They came in, hit their lick on the tax cut, and bounced.
This is what has come of all the shouting for revolution that far-left extremists did in the last few years of the Obama administration. People really need to understand that progress can be slow. When you try to force it, you end up creating chaos instead.
To not vote, or to in a close election vote for the long shot and throw away that vote, is reckless and stupid in the most extreme senses of the word. Let’s make sure to cover this point thoroughly.
Never vote for pure evil like Trump by abstaining. We must vote smart.
One of our contributors had a conversation with a self-proclaimed anarchist the other day.
“Oh, all governments are fascist. It’s all just levels of fascism, blah blah blah.”
That’s what you call a cop-out. It’s a way to get around taking sides because you’re afraid of the intensity people bring to the political table. If you are not capable of seeing the difference between the U.S. and Russia, it is because you have never really suffered.
The political fulcrum of America is swinging back left again, but it will not help if the youth of the country allow themselves to be hornswoggled. Particularly in 2016, a great many on the far left ended up walking down a path of smarmy arrogance without a clue as to what they were truly up against.
By not voting, and by helping to spread around the pernicious myth that our votes don’t matter, they’re giving up the only power we have. If votes do not matter, then why do Republicans spend so much money every year to keep us from using them?
It would be nice if extremists on both sides of the aisle took a step back to really look at what they are doing.  Realistically speaking, though, it’s only on the left that there’s any chance of this happening. It’s time to make a choice. There’s not going to be a free college Utopia. There will either be a democracy or a fascist theocracy.
A fascist theocracy is nothing but a form of chaos. It’s a gigantic step backward for mankind. It reduces us once again to tribalism, controlled by a Mafia-type structure of feudalism. And all feudalism is, is an endless war. Hence the meaning of the word “feud” to describe a long-running conflict without end.
It would essentially mean a return to the tribal State of Nature. It’s hard to understand why anyone would want that, but there it is.
At the end of the day, there’s no place like Switzerland. Your rights to neutrality will not be respected. The decision will get made for you. You can side with order, or you can side with chaos. The latter is a really bad idea.
