Greetings, readers of recent events! It’s been a while since I’ve had time to stop by here. Here’s a few words about why- and also, a few words as to how it all ties in with the impeachment of Donald Trump, which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced around noon on Thursday would definitely proceed.
Ultimately, what the whole Ukrainegate scandal comes down to is that lying is bad and the illegitimate president lied. Trump is a terrible, unrepentant liar. He’s a totally unfit role model for American children. It’s for their sake that he has got to go.
Here at Millennial Democrats, the anti-disinformation war is central to our very purpose; we call that division MD-DissectFake. It is why we exist. To say, as people are doing in the disinformation age, that the truth no longer matters enough to fight for, and that in fact we now live in a post-truth reality in which Americans no longer value their values, is to speak pure evil and embrace a descent into nihilism and destability. Never that.
We have answered those people firmly today in announcing Trump’s impeachment will go on.
Donald Trump, with his unrepentant falsehoods on the subject of his now-infamous attempt to leverage Ukraine, withholding key funds needed for their war against Russia who has robbed them, has disgraced our country, as have the vitriolic rants against the whistleblower who brought this to America’s attention. Simply stated, this had to be done. No one is above the law in a country without kings, not even the President.
If that is not worth fighting for then nothing is.
Don’t let anyone tell you this is just partisan politics or a witch hunt, either. Pelosi never wanted to impeach Trump. She fought it every way she could for years, and we helped her, because of one key factor. We didn’t have enough yet, which sadly was still the case even after Robert Mueller‘s Russiagate investigation had concluded. Vladimir Putin laughingly said that it was as though a mountain had given birth to a mouse, which of course is what he wants to think.
This is how we know Vladimir Putin is beatable.
What Mueller’s investigation actually was, the perspective time brings us has helped us to understand, represented a vast foundation, something we could build a case upon so big it would one day dwarf Trump Tower.
At the time I predicted that a Donald Trump now flabbergasted with relief would soon find his worst instincts bolstered by an unrestrained ego, one he is nowhere near self-aware enough to realize. I was sure that sooner or later, something would happen where he’d bite off more than he could chew, and go down after all.
Sure enough, it did, and far faster than anyone figured.
“I need you to do me a favor though” will prove to be famous last words, like the ones never spoken by the doomed General Custer at the Little Bighorn.
I knew that if that day ever came, the 448-page morass of the Mueller Report (link provided) would be waiting for him, to catch him when he falls. It’ll gather flowers constantly, and will come whenever he calls. The Mueller Report would be there to open his each and every door.
It ain’t me you’re looking for, babe.
Not even close.
The House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday voted to send their own voluminous report on Trump’s conduct to the Judiciary Committee, who in turn will physically write the articles of impeachment against Trump. Oh good, I thought, happy to be heading back up this way. Time to go hit Donald Trump again and topple him, like the statue of the founder of the Cheka, his poll numbers be damned.
I wouldn’t miss this for the world.
The importance of fighting disinformation is to me so basic that it’s engraved in my spirit at this point, and Trump’s horrid Ukraine behavior is the biggest reason why that I can think of. It is all along the same timeline as Russiagate and their interference in our 2020 election. Here at Millennial Democrats, we realize fully the necessity of fighting for the inclusion of honesty in the canon of American values, and I have been preparing.
For the last several years, more than twelve hundred hacking attempts have been made against this blog by radicals who do not agree with what I’m saying. They are politically motivated, and they’re running a vast Radical Disinformation Pipeline. Trump hit us hard using that channel many times, particularly damaging were the WikiLeaks email dumps of 2016. They will continue supporting him all through next year, and the heat is just beginning.
It’s time for us to fight back. By the way, a friend of ours will be launching a Technology Corps very soon, a nonprofit called Truth in Vision-Research and Tech Corps. Check it out; I think you will find it’s up to standards.
Just earlier this week, the Russians came back on social media, Instagram to be exact, and are now busily infesting the campaign of Pete Buttigieg, who has taken no action. This just started, and you folks are some of the first to know. Warn everyone you can; the moment we’ve been training for has come. Stay ready.
Going forward, we’ve got to remind people of what we’re fighting both for and against and stay true to our values, because getting rid of Trump becomes worthless if we’re just going to do the same that he is. Democrats are better than this. And very soon in court, we’re going to show the world why lying is bad-by paying Donald Trump the full wages of his crimes.
The truly amazing thing about the Radical Information Pipeline is how intricately all of its members link together. Through extremist ideologies, private peering networks, offshore cloud servers, world events, and my email inbox, the hackers who’ve assaulted this Democratic blog have revealed themselves as the Red Tide’s heralds and torchbearers.
More than one of them, including Guccifer 2.0 (Sergey Morgachev and Co.), are friends of Roger Stone, who was recently found guilty by Judge Amy Berman Jackson of Mississippi.
Roger Stone is guilty. God, that was fun to write. Roger Stone is going to prison; even better. May wonders never cease.
This one counts. I wrote about it when he went to jail last year. How sweet it was and how sweet this is. This guy is a poster boy for the alt-right. In every sense but the purely physical, as we’re believers in nonviolence here, he ought to be staked in the heart like the vampire he is. But I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Roger there, about to get squashed by the impartial boot of Robert Mueller, has been misery in American life for many years. The litany of his mischief and mayhem cover all the decades that have come and gone since Watergate; perhaps it is fitting he’ll start this one out by getting sent to the can. God, does he deserve it. This guy broke the camel’s back in 2000 and got George W. Bush elected. In so doing he screwed up the entire millennium.
The 2000 election was lost for Vice President Al Gore and all us Democrats due to a number of different irregularities, but as big a single factor as any were the Miami-Dade riots during the recount process in Florida, and that was organized by Roger Stone. Get Me Roger Stone, the Netflix documentary chronicling the endless crap he’s put us through, was named for that event, in which a very bored and useless Roger was called up as a local talent with network enough to bring the thing together.
See the movie “Chad” one of these days. Chad is the word for the little round paper circle that gets punched out ballot style tickets; I guess you’ve just got to watch the movie. Stone cooked that up, just as he has so much else. We’ll have to stretch them out as we go through the piece. It’s either that or spend fifty years of trouble in this one paragraph.
Stone has always been among the biggest names to look at where Donald Trump is concerned, crook that he is. He’s hoping to get Trump to give him a pardon, but he’s not going to get it. He wasn’t able to get one for Julian Assange, either, that coward who’s a tough guy from behind a computer screen. He deserves zero mercy from anyone, having been up to no good since his days as a Richard Nixon-posing anklebiter (though Nixon’s people disavowed him too, lol). Malice is his reason for existing. When he and Donald Trump’s old manager Paul Manafort ran a consulting firm together back in the 1980’s, they invited the most heartless political strategist of the time, Lee Atwater, to join in, out of admiration for his viciousness.
Lee and Roger are not very different from a couple of heavy metal fans like me, Psyco Peter and the Norway Killer, who we are about to meet. The right wing’s worldwide convergence, the rising Red Tide our Blue Wave must do away with, has seen radical right-wingers like this come together worldwide and with plenty of help from far-left figures. The Green Tea Tide is working for the red one, often unknowingly and at other times in full awareness. Check out 2016 Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein down here having a blast with Putin and Michael Flynn. #FarLeftIsAltRight. We will see this again and again.
The story I am telling stretches all across the world, like the unimaginable vastness of the World Wide Web where it largely makes its home. Guided by the hackers who came from them aiming at me with violent intent, ranges across all seven continents and tells a grisly, totalitarian sort of tale. Once upon a time, if you were an American, being someone’s countryman was a sacred bond, one no mere partisan disagreement could come between. Even slavery lost against it, in the long run. That is the sign of a healthy country with healthy people in it.
Just look around you, readers and hackers. Is this all looking healthy for you?
Things today aren’t like they were in the past, where foreign radicalism had never been allowed to take deep root in America, and you could count on your countrymen to support you in a battle against foreigners. Today U.S.-grown fascism is alive and well and growing stronger. It is very much in line with what we’re seeing elsewhere.
This is very terrifying because the only thing keeping the Red Tide from deluging all of Earth is the might of American democracy, or what’s left of it. In the Baltic states, which 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders rightfully praises for the strength of their social democracy (in America, we just call it democracy, and over there they call Democrats Social Democrats. This is not to be confused with the ill-conceived muddle Sanders likes to call “democratic” socialism, and the Nordic people hate it when it is.
Bernie Sanders was lucky to be able to get to the Soviet Union in 1988 and praise all its stunning socialist achievements before the entire system and empire collapsed under the weight of its own spectacular failures. pic.twitter.com/bENmwVKi0g
They don’t like it for a reason that’s both simple and profound- because it makes them look bad. It is my primeval contention that the leadership of the radical modern left is completely disingenuous and untrustworthy, that they’re far more destructive than creative (a critical right-wing tendency), and that they essentially exist as a corollary force of the right, a sort of ideological backfire they can suck away Democratic enthusiasm. Everything they do hurts the Democratic Party, and for this reason, I consider it most practical to calculate them right into the mix with our more conventional-and obvious- competition.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (V.I. Lenin, first leader of the Soviet Union, said that the best way to control the opposition was to lead it ourselves. That socialist icon set the mold that the likes of Zack Exley, founder of the Justice Democrats and nearly every other organization on the far left-literally- are still trying to set themselves up by today.
In working together to set up their mutual goals, the extreme ends of our political spectrum have clotted up like deer turds and burst open at the Democratic Party and its brave members, all of whom are targets of the worst kind of people in the world, such as Sergey Alexandrovich “Guccifer 2.0” Morgachev, the ninth guy who tried to hack me. Their goals are shadowy and the Radical Information Pipeline I have caught them in the making and using of is even more so. Just the same, it’s been years worth of writing and research now, and the hackers who have plagued me like goblin or troll hordes have committed more than twelve hundred different failed login attacks against the Millennial Democrats blog. The story of tracking them down and tying their loose ends together is the purpose of this series, The Dark Side of Digital Politics. You are reading Part Two.
Enjoy the guilt of Roger Stone. He had it coming bad.
Returning to our blockchain, the thread that’s going to weave all this into a tapestry is a common radical fixation with eliminating democracy, be it slandered as “capitalism” or scoffed at as too “soft”. Those of us who are not soft are the first ones like to see go, like Carl Bildt as shown in the tweet above.
Carl Bildt is the man who gave the Bern his good ideas to spout off about Sweden and Denmark and Norway. He salvaged social democracy and made it viable by strengthening its free-market roots using hated and reviled “capitalism”. The peoples of those proud nations, friends of America all, find it offensive and have told Bernie to knock it off every way they know how, and should not be found fault with or held responsible for the closeted right-wingers who over here are vulgarly feeling the Bern.
As a species, We the People as in the human race have just finished up with the bloodiest century in history. German/Italian fascism came together in a struggle with German/Russian communism, and both were exactly alike, as many researchers and scholars on all sides of the spectrum have concluded. In fact, between the two, a hundred and twenty-five million people are given as casualties by Stephane Courtois in The Black Book of Communism, a number that is more or less consistent with the work of other reputable researchers.
Rival cults of extreme radical socialists were thus responsible for what amounts to a third of America, or two-thirds of Russia, ending up in graves for disagreeing. Four out of five were committed by the Communists and not the Nazis, the more recognizably socialistic of the two. Their insane lust for power over even the minutiae of life in the world nearly did us all in. It’s really a shame we’re even having to discuss socialism again, less than thirty years removed from the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Garry Kasparov, former but still titanic World Chess Champion, said that even “Talking about Socialism is a huge luxury, a luxury that was paid for by the successes of capitalism. Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely. But the idea that the solution is more government, more regulation, more debt, and less risk is dangerously absurd.”
For me, that pretty well does it. I’m a chessplayer, so I can tell you for a fact. Good enough for Kasparov, good enough for me.
Kasparov is a fervent believer in democracy and has tried to warn the world for many years that in Russia it was all getting badly off track. If only we would have listened to him, especially after the murder of this man, Alexander Litvinenko, in 2006. Killed him with a radiation injection, the horrendous freak.
he ran for President of Russia and lost; he was beaten over the head with a wooden chessboard and chased out of the country he had done so much to honor by Vladimir Putin who is nothing but a thug who looks like a toad.
Here the latter fellow is with Tulsi Gabbard and the Bern, having assumed his true form. He brought Assad with him too, in this highly realistic portrayal of the lot of them I found. Later that same year he ordered a reporter shot dead as a birthday present, Anna Politkovskaya, who is missed a whole hell of a lot more than he ever will be.
Lenin and Hitler, both towering socialist figures, agreed on a lot more than you would think. Both held the so-called “bourgeois” (the smarmy term for the middle class) in utter contempt, even though both of them came from it. Both agreed that power at any cost was a thing to be admired and desired, and both agreed that their adherents should do literally anything to seize it, including working with each other. They were five times as deadly as the Spanish flu, which only killed twenty million.
What now prevents them from converging again? What can stop them from setting up this brave new “socialism”, from which what I can see on both sides means an Internationale Fascista? Moderate Democrats, that’s who. Stubborn liberals like myself who will never, ever be convinced by their planned society arguments and who will retain a moderate abhorrence for the constant excesses they propose.
The opposition knows that, and they don’t like it. And that is what led on an anathema quest the man below, Anders Behring Breivik, the Norway Killer, who tried to assassinate every moderate Democrat in his country.
The Norway Killer’s Manifesto illustrated succinctly what he was up to; planning a bloody slaughter for the left wing’s best young leaders. He killed more than a hundred people and wounded haIf a thousand, rocking all of Norway horrendously, not to mention the rest of the world. Almost everyone in their country knew someone or other who was hurt by the murders this way or that. I was not on his list back then (thankfully, I was not in the same country), but it’s pretty clear I’m the kind of guy he and his bloodthirsty clan are after.
However, like all true Democrats, I subscribe to a simple philosophy here: Be Prepared. The official slogan of the United States Boy Scouts of America is good enough for me, radicals. You’d better run along.
We left off with the Norway Killer last time, a vivid reminder of just how deadly what we’re up against can be. That is why, Democratic family, we are taking a look at all these grisly people. The threat is real, it claimed lives of ours in Charlottesville in 2017 and in El Paso, Texas earlier this year. I wrote about both incidents myself, and I still mourn for the loss of my sister, Heather Heyer, gone but not forgotten.
As the image earlier showed, right-wing extremists, have been responsible for nearly all the murders of that type in 2019. Fascism Rising, I wrote two years ago when bombs were mailed to our great Democratic leaders, like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, and that was true. Fascist alt-right radicals are a huge part of the problem.
Them, and the far left.
Bernie Bot killers have had a wild run at it too, if a far less competent one. The same weekend as the right-wing manifesto writing El Paso killer busted loose, another shooting took place in Dayton, Ohio. El Paso was a Trump supporter, but, as Trump himself gleefully pointed out, Dayton was a Bernie supporter. Between them they got nearly fifty people last summer; they were no Anders Breivik, but they were certainly of the same beast in human skin breed.
Like Julian Assange‘s cellies are going to be, once he gets to Terre Haute or Lewisburg; there to help his spirit heal by teaching his flesh some penitence.
This was written a day or two before he got arrested, among other things for refusing to feed his cat and for smearing feces on his walls in Ecuador’s embassy. He actually sued them for the right to not feed that cat, and when he lost in court he let the cat go. I hope Julian’s new friends in jail are animal lovers, and one other thought comes to mind.
Glad I’m not that guy!
In returning to our topic after a brief talk about Mr. Assange the animal rights abuser, we can also remind ourselves that Assange is a veritable hub or far right/left-wing convergence. Both sides love this guy; Roger Stone joins both far-left mastermind Zack Exley and any number of my hackers, like, say, Nicholas Merrill of the Calyx Institute in the vaults of the WikiLeaks databases and spoken of in terms of being allies. The Stone piece makes specific mention of libertarianism, which is key because Assange is a libertarian. Bernie Sanders was the most libertarian-leaning candidate in the 2016 race, beating out in terms of his advocation of libertarian policies even the actual Libertarian Party candidate, Gary “Cutoff Your” Johnson.
That’s Psyco Peter’s roommate, guys. They’re greasing up the marmot for me.
In noting the resemblance between these two blatantly undemocratic Swedes, you can understand why I was less than thrilled to see the man below, one “Psyco” Peter Johanssen, who if anything looks crazier and more brutal even than the rabid Anders Breivik. Psyco there is almost certainly the guy who tried to hack me from that company.
Above are the words of Peter Johanssen, suggesting Trump purchase not only Greenland but his home of Dalarna as well. He’s confident Trump would like the place since they have lots of Neo-Nazi gangs around. Wow. Is this him, or a namesake? If he’d care for debate via Twitter, he knows where to find me. The Contact form’s Link is not difficult to find.
Still and all, just look at him. Sigh. Very depressing for me to have to ready myself for a scrap against my fellow Sisters of Mercy fan, but so be it.
I caught his IP address (or rather, good old Sucuri did) through the Tor nodes belonging to his own company, KeFF Networks Stockholm. Tor is short for The Onion Router and began life as a naval encryption system, symbol above; its source code these days is written by another hacker buddy of mine, one Nicholas Merrill of New York City’s second-oldest ISP, the Calyx Institute who we met last time. Look for “nickm” in connection with Tor, you’ll find it, reader- that is, if you’re a real Democrat. The rest of the world I can say little for.
These days the circuits belonging to Tor are the homes of the “deep web”, that vast depth of human consciousness that has sunk so low that even Google cannot see it) operated by a company named KeFF (this is shorthand for k-effective, a reference to nuclear theory and the type of “dog whistle” the so-called elite likes to try and talk over our heads with) Networks,
I didn’t catch the Psyco here directly. I Googled the name of his Tor node, to.keff.org, and when I did it came up with a Facebook Page to KeFF Networks-Stockholm. It had no pictures and only three Likes- but one of them was KeFF’s founder, Peter Johannsen, even though the URL of his Facebook account says his name is PsycoPeter (misspelling his and not mine), currently a network engineer with Tele2 Sverige, yet another big Telecom company whose members do not seem to like me. Twelve hundred times, they have tried to hack this blog-
Right up until the day we published The Dark Side of Digital Politics, Part One. Since then these circuits have been absolutely silent.
Now I know they’re among my readers, all these doctors and programmers, and billionaires.
There are financial. personal, and technological connections galore, between every one of the shadowy players involved in this game of blindfold chess. It’s creepy.
WikiLeaks and MoveOn.org under Eli Pariser, Exley’s first and greatest proxy and founder of the popular news site Upworthy, both asked for vast sums of money from George Soros in the beginning, and he is considered a darling of the progressive world. He just got Person of the Year for being such a vital friend of freedom, whether or not he deserves it. That links the interests of George Soros up directly to that of Putin and the Koch Brothers (the one that’s left, anyway, although we do wish his spirit well and commend his soul to God, as I hope an opponent might do for me) which is hideous to consider.
As an aside, even though they have stalked and harassed me for years, I do not consider these people my enemies, and I do not want them dead. We disagree, and that’s fine. Truth is hammered out on the anvil of debate; the tongs of policy are heated in the forge of dialectical discourse. Our struggles honor us all- so quit trying to hack my website! Debate me on Twitter at @MilDemsAmerica. Or on Instagram at millennialdemsusa. Or on Facebook at Millennial Democrats-America (if you’ll quit falsely reporting us long enough for me to get a word in edgewise off restrictions and shadowbans). Or Reddit at u/MilDemsAmerica.
Or leave me alone. There’s not that many more of you to hack my blog anyway, twelve hundred times has given me an excellent cross-selection. Of course I will be happy to use any further hacking attempts to build my case- but you already know that by now, don’t you, guys? I’m going to tweet this out to every one of you, hackers. Debate or be cowards, the choice is yours.
Moving on, no pun intended. The stage for so many of our current troubles is Eastern Europe, where dictators like Viktor Orban are dissolving democracy piecemeal, tearing it up plank for plank like the proverbial Ship of Theseus. That’s Hungary, by the way, Orban’s country. George Soros’s money got Orban installed there in charge of his homeland.
I don’t know about that guy George Soros. They say he’s our friend, but…I am just not completely sure yet, either way. But he’s not someone to rely on in a barfight, though. That is a fact.
A book I read on the Color Revolutions in post-Soviet satellite states including Ukraine claimed that Vladimir Putin would probably consider Soros his worst earthly enemy. If that is true, I would like to hear what he thinks about what Zack and Julian are doing these days. They got Trump elected, those two guys and Roger Stone and some other horrid cronies who we’ll meet. like Paul Manafort. These radicals should be as opposed to each other as the Nazis and the Communists once were, and yet they have this eerie way of meeting hand in hand-often through the personages of Zack Exley and Tulsi Gabbard.
I will say that Trump the next day gave a statement that was, in my opinion, the closest he ever came to sounding presidential. I think it’s important to be fair and to say it outright when youre opponent has done something decent. Trump stood up at that time and said that racism was evil and that those who support it have no place in America (although offshore cloud servers are another story). He sounded fairly sincere and he was far more unequivocal than he was after Charlottesville-which I consider a key moment in when America started getting a case of the Fear.
Another crazed Bern shouter named James T. Hodgkinson-who I had encountered on Facebook during the 2016 election- shot up the Congress right after Trump took office. He winged Steve Scalise but didn’t kill him, and made him a hero in the process. He also got himself- a human life and a Democratic vote- killed nice and good and dead.
Nice work, James. Sincerely. Way to support world peace and climate change, you psychotic perished personal progressive icon, you.
The GOP grew gangrenous at least fifty years ago, and by now, it really stinks. They will do or say anything to get into power. What we saw with the infiltration of Bernie Sanders’ campaign by the Russians would have fit the old GOP M.O. perfectly. They work together constantly, and until the majority of the people in the world come to learn well and thoroughly understand this, we are just going to keep getting fooled.
In chemistry, we would call this polar parallel concept chirality, a set of non-identical but mirroring entities bonded in a pair. #FarLeftIsAltRight. They are not quite one and the same, and they are not an equal threat. The far-right is vastly more vicious. The left is operating on typical Marxian principles, as we discussed earlier, and seem to view the alt-right in accordance with those sets of plays.
Peter Kreko, researcher at the Krebs Institute, concluded as much in his own work on how and why the radicals are lighting the world on fire. It’s a lot of Russian woo for the most part, . Donald Trump and Roger Stone have been the chiefest allies of Vladimir Putin all along.
Director of the Political Capital Institute Peter Kreko has been recently involved in research regarding Russian destability tactics aimed at undermining the United States. He concluded two facts about the intentions of Putin. First, that he is becoming the frontman of a worldwide anti-human rights movement, and second, that he is investing in, stirring up, and inciting radicals on both ends of the spectrum to “sabotage democracy in Europe”.
In America, we are experiencing many problems with who are still insisting, in the face of the overwhelming evidence that keeps piling up, that “the Russia thing” is simply a distraction from the main issue, that in their view being how the DNC cheated Bernie Sanders. These people are doing the entire human race a grand disservice.
By turning a blind eye to the machinations of the most nakedly aggressive power to arise in the world since Hitler’s Third Reich, they are in fact helping to make possible the same specific chaotic social conditions that in the past allowed far-right populist movements like Germany’s National Socialism to thrive in the first place. -@MilDemsAmerica, two years ago.
They’re still out there, folks, a horrible pack to be certain but an interesting one too The hackers and politicians and political dirty tricksters we have met along the way while running this blog are the best in the world at the crummy things they do, and are good at some good things as well. Like other humans, they are neither wholly good nor wholly evil. We will get back to them.
In the meantime, word has come through (well, a day or two ago, lol, but this was a big project:) that Roger Stone has been found guilty on all seven counts of crimes that he was charged on. That’s worth a small and related detour.
They’re guilty, all of them. And even if we can only get one, and the least of them at that, we can still take a deep sigh of relief to know we’re rid of Roger Stone, at least for the next few years.
Ties to white supremacists, radicals and shady foreign hackers are a big part of Roger Stone’s M.O. His trial’s inevitable end couldn’t have come at a better time, placing him and computer crime and my dear Morgachev’s Guccifer 2.0 back on the front pages.
It may be just what we need to kick some coals up-especially since Part One of this series came out and silenced the hackers. I guess they got scared, but it’s too late now anyway. You lot have handed me enough digital evidence to fill a whole Digital Ocean (that’s the name of one of their companies, the would-be big shots) thank my dear security plugin Sucuri.
The Dark Side of Digital Politics seems to have lost my hackers’ interest-by scaring the hell out of them. They’ve been reeeeeallly quiet since Part One came out; I don’t think they expected us to put all this together, lol, but they should have known better. No radical is half as strong as a moderate Democrat, who is forced into his strength by an instinctual need to keep the extremists from jumping off the cliff at both ends, red and green, like a dual horde of Christmas colored lemmings. Too late. Write me a letter of apology before Part Three comes out, you know who you are. I’ll publish that instead of something heartbreaking.
Or debate me on Twitter- that’s @MilDemsAmerica, not to be confused with Kaivan Shroff’s excellent Millennial_Dems, although we are on friendly terms (because we’re Democratic family) and we follow each other on Twitter. He beat me to the name by like two weeks, but it worked out all right. By adding America, I had the idea to take MDA fifty states plus, and with zero money and almost no experience (at least at the start), we have beaten the Justice Democrats at every turn, anytime they get near us. Go check out our State Pages and JD’s; you’ll see what I mean. Only difference is that they’ve got millions of dollars and a super-slick outfit, whereas all we are is a band of volunteer titans.
All together or one at a time;, come as you will. You can choose the course of my meals, but you can’t escape becoming them. Contrary to popular opinion I do not work for David Brock or George Soros or anyone. I serve the country itself, and that animating principle sustains me. I will never lose o to the likes of you- and every one of you already knows it in your hearts. That’s why you tried so silently to come in the night with your
I wonder how many of you will have the balls to try. Especially you, Exley, best of their personnel. I will demonstrate without fail how helpless a tactician is against the strategist. Think I’m full of it, do you? Then come hither and accept my challenge.
Without a philosophy that is sincere and aiming at good instead of sheisty and aiming at goblinhood, even the best would-be strategist will inevitably miss his mark and land in the tactician’s realm again. Any chessmaster will tell you, tactics are not enough. To contend with the truly strong, one must understand the deep stuff, the positional play that brings you to the place from which true tactics flow, as a corollary artery to the long-term strategist that is inside every dedicated Democrat and no one else-least of all some slick tactician. For example, in the Democratic debates last night, the beating left-wing and Russian favorite Democratic (what a joke) presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard took was not going to be possible because she was not going to be there. She should have been a dead duck months ago. Why isn’t she? We’re not alone in wondering; here’s a recent headline from the New York Times.
What, Exactly, Is Tulsi Gabbard Up To?
As she injects chaos into the 2020 Democratic primary by accusing her own party of “rigging” the election, an array of alt-right internet stars, white nationalists and Russians have praised her.
Chaos injections are a crucial part of extremist politics regardless of shirt color. Tug is no good at all. She only made the debates because the Daily Stormer helped her. That’s the Neo-Nazi newspaper we keep finding at the heart of the rot. We have met them before, and we’ll be meeting them again. Soon. At any rate, my own prediction regarding the Tuggler is that she will soon be replacing Jill Stein as head of the Green Party at Russian behest.
“She’s got a good energy, a good vibe. You feel like this is just a serious person,” Mr. Cernovich said. “She seems very Trumpian.”
Michael Cernovich is a sex offender, even though with fifty thousand dollars he beat his case. Eight year olds, Dude.
The Daily Stormer and Roger Stone were both interviewed in reference to our sister Heather Heyer’s murder at the hands of a nameless Nazi savage (Cernovich’s alt-right comrade Baked Alaska pricelessly said “Why would I want to go to the trial of a f*****g murderer? I’m out by the pool” in response to a query as to whether they would go and make a spectacle of her killer’s sentencing hearing, one of many such hearings we’ll be talking about in this series) at Charlottesville, VA back in 2017. That was the first story I ever covered; I guess it’s fair to say I’ve been fighting these people since Day One.
Tulsi Gabbard is one of the most blatant examples of the strange phenomenon of radical convergences between the alt-right and the far-left (this is going to be the theme of the whole piece ultimately, by way of introducing yours truly’s own political spectrum Zero Theory, a contribution into how human society really operates, as well as a model by which we can evaluate what radicals on both ends are doing to strengthen one another) but she certainly isn’t the only one. Bernie Sanders is the king of shady Russian connections.
He spent his honeymoon in Russia, drunkenly howling Woody Guthrie songs and dancing with the Soviets. The story of how Putin felt the Bern has been chronicled many times here at Millennial Democrats.
“Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, in a case filed last year against 13 Russians accused of interfering in the U.S. presidential campaign, said workers at a St. Petersburg facility called the Internet Research Agency were instructed to write social media posts in opposition to Clinton but “to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump.”
That’s Morgachev! One of Guccifer 2.0’s twelve users (the thirteenth committed some other heinous crime, but not that one).
The DNC email dumps perpetuated by left-wing icon Wikileaks, Russian disinformation icon Guccifer 2.0, and right-wing icon Roger Stone could never have been so grievously harmful to Democratic chances had it not been for the Bernie Sanders campaign. That spectacle of berserker hypocrisy, in which Peter the Hermit Bernie led an anti-wealth crusade against millionaires and billionaires, has been viewed as the ultimate left-wing manifestation of seething strength, the long-awaited tide of a change long overdue.
Jesus Christ, two solid minutes of it, and that’s still just a few samples. To think people actually wanted this guy to be president-
Well, for an American who loves his country, it’s not exactly heartening.
It’s impossible not to sigh even while writing this. God, these people drove themselves insane. Remember when Bern said that Hillary Clinton’s wealth insulated her from the people too much for her to make a good president? She mostly made her money by writing bestselling books. So did Bernie. And there is nothing wrong with that. It’s a good thing. The ability of good middle-class personnel to drag themselves by the bootstraps into the much-reviled 1% is what makes the American dream so tangibly real.
But it sure is ludicrous to see all these socialists living high on the hog thanks to this capitalism they so despise. One would think such a noble ascetic as St. Bernard here to live penniless as a monk, from the way he was talking in 2016. Billionaires Can’t Buy Bernie, wasn’t that it?
A hundred and sixty-six million dollars was spent on the Sanders campaign. And that’s not all that doesn’t fit his Spartan ethics.
Just to name a few, Zack Exley is a millionaire and a Harvard graduate. Tad Devine is a millionaire and a Harvard graduate, plus he got paid ten million dollars (!) to work on Bernie’s campaign. Jeff Weaver, millionaire. Julian Assange did not go to Harvard, but he somehow got a Harvard email address- could it have been from his hacker pal Exley, who worked on the board of Wikipedia? A Berner’s in charge there now too, of course.
Bernie Sanders? Millionaire!
We need as a nation to do something we have never done before, and say to these corporate executives who have so much power, we’re tired of your greed and we are tired of your corruption. -The Bern
$10 million, as it happens, could provide 44.5 meals for each homeless vet at $5.61 per meal for a year, Bern, but you weren’t thinking social safety net when you paid that same sum out to the already-filthy rich Tad. I guess Devine himself never self-identified as a socialist, not that that makes up for helping Paul Manafort in 2004 and Roger Stone in 2007 to get murderers elected to public office in Ukraine-that is not hyperbole, readers, by the way. Links are though their names.
Do you call yourself a snitch for testifying against your co-conspirator Paul Manafort, Tad? You really should. Completely.
What an unbelievable tangle it all is, this Radical Information Pipeline.
Later when we talk about the Chaos Computer Club and their most elite organizers, the Digitale Gesellschaft, we’re going to come across a guy named Jacob Appelbaum, who like Assange as Mendax was one of the original Cypherpunks. Their story too is one of convergence. The anecdote below comes from a truly excellent blog I stumbled onto doing the totally endless research for this project, Steemit.com. Remind me to get back to them some more.
Jacob Appelbaum was a cypherpunk and a core member of the Tor Project – he was on my list of notable cypherpunks above.
If you control many of the Tor Network Nodes (which my research suggests that people connected to Wikileaks and Cypherpunks do), syphoning the internet traffic and selling it to the highest bidder, including intelligence agencies, is a multi-billion dollar business.
Do you recall in the early 1990’s (part 2 of this series) when Mudge said that he could bring down the internet in 30 minutes? Do you remember part 2 when Assange had complete control of MILnet (the US military internet) for 2 years?
Remember, no fat-shaming, please. Morbid obesity afflicts many Americans and is nothing to laugh at. We’re working on it together, as a nation-though I’ll allow some are working harder than others.
If you go to the can, Mark, in the end, just remember it will most likely be for computer terrorism. Look at this link they’ve got you on-well, I assume you’ve read it. If I were you, I would DEFINITELY take up my offer to debate me on Twitter. If you tell me what the hell you’re up to generally, I won’t skin you too bad with the specific. You have my word.
You know, Mark Silas, other hackers, here’s the thing. I’m a Bill Clinton Democrat. A Law and Order Democrat. I don’t have to fear my own country’s intelligence services; the Five Eyes are everywhere. If you know who I am, if Russians like Sergey “Guccifer 2.0” Morgachev knew, the NSA probably read my first article. I learned a lot of what I know from reading up on them, and one thing I can tell you is this- You do not want to mess with our guys.
I can go drop them a line at any time; killing me won’t help, it will just make things far worse. Then people will take my memory and my digital evidence up and break down your abhorrent Pipeline once and for all. America would rise in wrath like nothing you have ever seen. Considering who your friends are, you’ll be going to someplace like the United States Penitentiary, Administrative Maximum Facility (USP Florence ADMAX), referred to commonly as the ADX Florence. It is an American federal prison that provides a higher level of custody than normal, Mark. That’s where they’ve got the Unabomber; it’s like being in the hole for the rest of your life.
You can’t get commissary in the hole.
Tad and Bern and Exley did their part, it’s true. And so did right-wingers like Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, who are both right up there on the scale of human value with Weev Auernheimer of the Stormer and Ralph Nader.
Exley’s utterly massive network (according to Ryan Grim at The Intercept-and he ought to know, right?- tells us that every single solitary Justice Democrat of note was handpicked personally by Exley) and MoveOn.org‘s endless cash flow did their jobs, augmented as they were by $1.25 million dollar donations both from Facebook co-founder and billionaire Dustin Moskowitz and his co-billionaire Silicon Valley wife Cari “Big” Tuna, InfluenceWatch.org links included.
Facebook pretty much paid for the fake left, is what that means.
That’s why we’re always having trouble with them.
Right from the start, we have had more trouble with the far left than with the right. That’s what set me down this whole road, to begin with. The pattern on the blockchain is by now all too clear- that is the whole point. They are doing what the CIA used to call “blackwashing”, i.e. associating a progressive idea or concept with someone or something that is blatantly unacceptable to the public.
Zack Exley-who is absolutely, positively, beyond any shadow of a doubt the ONLY person to really watch super close in the entire far extreme radical left, managed to spoil the information he released about George W. Bush’s cocaine use in 1999 by slathering it with snotty speeches and fake pictures of Bush doing drugs. Bush sneered, called him the “Garbage Man”, and everybody laughed the whole thing off.
Well, Bill Clinton smoked weed, right? That’s no different than snorting cocaine and drunk driving (by the by, this is what makes anti-cannabis propaganda so dangerous; kids figure out they’ve been lied to about one drub and promptly decide they must be full of grass-grower about all the rest as well.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) was a colossal failure because it was a misnomer. It sought to waylay and mislead rather than actually educate, to guide astray like an aikido master baiting his opponent with a dangled wrist. DARE was a huge backfire, a disingenuous right-wing continuation of a hundred-year-old excuse, as explained in this essay by yours truly, The War On Cannabis: Who Loses, Who Benefits.
As the great Father of Research Chemicals, Alexander Shulgin said of his own experiences with right-wing extremism as expressed by the War on Drugs suggested, of all that deals with law, ask ‘Cui bono’? Who benefits? Who benefits when the screaming radicals go flying down to Texas with Elizabeth Warren to disgust the good people of Texas back red again, right after the Blue Wave and Beto O’Rourke (who was targeted by the Bern as soon as his name got mentioned on a national level) had gotten done making it purple for the first time since before George W. Bush was governor there?
Who benefits, if the #FakeLeftIsAltRight, for real and for truly? Vladimir Putin, that’s who. Our dad Vlad.
Note that cannabis as well, through no fault of its wonderful own, has been co-opted by the left at every turn, and used as a propaganda mechanism by the right. Even the alt-right, like the slovenly Daily Stormer ally Charles C. Johnson of the right-wing disinformation rag GotNews, has gotten in on the deal. When the wildfires raged in Northern California two autumns ago, he tried blaming it on the Mexican Mafia. That was the first disinformation case I ever cracked, as it works out.
Good practice for this one.
It’s been a long haul, man. You know, readers, those bold and intrepid few who have made it with me this far. Don’t give up. I know it’s a lot, but you can do it. You’re either a Democrat or one of my hacker friends, the best the global elite has to offer.
To you latter, though, I would say that everything we need to know, we learned in kindergarten. We learned how to be good kids and good people after that. That’s America, the real one, the one that will resist in the end with ease all of Donald Trump’s tawdry attempts to denigrate her with his cheap shot attempts at “greatness”.
We first wrote that Facebook was suppressing Democrats right around the time Guccifer Morgachev set the standard for my hackers, the people who are lurking up and down outside my ports, back in 2017. 2.5 million, just from the best buds of Facebook. Another one of its founding personnel was mentioned in the Steenet article I found, Adam D’Angelo. Adam was the first Chief Technology Officer at Facebook, he is the co-founder of Quora, and he is worth more than $600 Million- like all good socialists these days, including the Bern, which takes us to our next stop on the blockchain.
Next time we’re going to kick things off with an extremely interesting set of characters. Winnie Wong, Exley proxy and coiner of the “Feel The Bern” slogan, ran a series of uncontrollable (Becky Bond, co-author with Zack Exley of the book Rules for Revolutionaries: How Big Organizing Can Change Everything, actually boasted as much in a chapter called Giving Away the Passwords) volunteer Bernie Pages on Facebook that live under the headline People for Bernie. Twenty percent of it can be crapola, said Bond, or even really bad! As long as the eighty percent is decent, go for it. Think big.”
A real Democrat would never, ever, ever be able to do that in today’s world without having some Bernie Bot try and hijack it. That has been the case for fifty years and longer, long before Donald Segretti of Watergate scandal fame and Republican strategist Karl Rove’s college mentor coined the term “ratf*cking”, as in, f*cking a DemocRAT. Political filth has always been the trade of the domestic fascists on the right- but those are the easy ones to see.
Guys like Zack Exley, who wear a fool’s mask and a cloak made of living, breathing proxies, are vastly more dangerous. Had it not been for the far left in 2016, Trump would not have won, and Exley the closet libertarian, who writes whole essays dedicated to illustrating just how similar “lefty” ideas are to Identity Europa, would not have pleased his true masters.
The Bern was created-by Zack Exley, the same man who once “ordered” his “promotion” to the Senate, just as surely as the Justice Democrats and the Democratic Socialists of America. Google Bernie’s name some time and use minuses to exclude everything from the year 2015 forward. You will find, as I did, the most bored and tired old man there ever was.
See below, from the Washington Post, the headline of Bern, the scourge of the dreadful One Percent, a monument to its own magnificence in the year 2014.
Postal Service shouldn’t eliminate Saturday delivery.
“No, we should not end Saturday mail delivery.” -Bernie Sanders, 2014, Letters to the Editor.
It would be unthinkably surreal to think that such a man was the electrifier of millions one year later if it wasn’t for the M.O. of this same repetitive man, a man whose name I am completely sick of typing, Zack Exley.
Just imagine it. All these years, he’d had that loud old billy goat tucked away in his sleeve, lest he Bern a hole straight through his pocket. Just waiting for the right time, some way to make a resource useful. In the end, nothing proactive could be done with him, so Exley threw him like a wrench between the spokes of Hillary Clinton’s tires.
Cui bono? To whose benefit?
From the day of his inception into the political world, Exley has been a big help to George W. Bush and others, who he has been there for at every turn. Note that he worked on Joh Kerry’s campaign in 2004, when Kerry was known for the bloodthirstiness of his staff. Kerry was a war hero and a highly decent-and moderate- man. He lost. Exley got the job managing his digital outreach largely because of the modest fame he had acquired as the guy who ran the fake George Bush website, and he put all the crazies on it that he could. He tried to do the same thing to Hillary Clinton in 2007, and she SQUELCHED him. “Organize your idea”, she told this completely aphilosophical man, a man who has no strategy to offer and only tactics, “and the rest will fall into place, all by itself.”
That is the difference between a first-class mind and a second class one, even a second classer of the first rank, as German composer Richard Strauss painfully assessed himself to be. The former has a unifying principle to live by that comes from instinct and genius; the latter does-
It sure is interesting, how many Democratic elections MoveOn.org has thrown under the bus over the years. They do not care about the people or the Democratic Party in the slightest, except as a vehicle they can hijack and finish phasing out democracy with, all the while cheering on the death of wicked “capitalism”- meaning in practice a captive national market and a subsequent police state.
You would have made a good chessplayer, Mr. Exley. If you ever take the game up, you can come over here and take a beating anytime you like. I hope you most of all will agree to debate with me on Twitter, like a warrior should. Show the integrity of a samurai.
Black Men for Bernie cofounder Gary Frazier (the other one joined Trump a day after Bern conceded) boasted that the Philadelphia protests had been forty thousand screaming lung pairs strong, and that they’d had people rioting for them on battleships. “The Democrats didn’t even know what was coming to them”, said Frazier, undoubtedly smirking like a clever bright young lad instead of a patsy who got used to screw over his people.
WASHINGTON – A Bernie Sanders campaign organizer and longtime Democrat joined forces with a Republican lobbyist and attorney to file a federal lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee for the release of the hacked DNC server they claim will reveal key information in solving the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich. While Democratic leadership is reliant on the African-American vote to maintain power, the Democrats are undermining the minority community with “bigotry,” as was showcased during the 2016 Democratic primary, Frazier said. “This DNC has openly participated in bigotry and racial divide during the Democratic National Convention. We were there, we experienced it. We brought more than 40,000 people to Philadelphia – the Democrats didn’t even know what was coming to them,” he said. “They didn’t know the back-door organizations that were organizing behind the scenes – the Occupy DNC’s, the DC to DNC’s, the Bernie or Bust movement, the Black Men for Bernie movement, The Philly FYI movement. These were people that they had no clue about that were organizing across the country. “We had folks on reservations. We had folks on battleships. We were very well organized for the Democratic National Convention, and we watched what they did to us in Philadelphia,” said Frazier.
Ordinarily, Bernie Bots are full of what makes grass grow brilliant green, Gary. But you know what? I believe you. I remember how that night was, and what you people did outside the Convention. I know you did this, and I know that you did it for the Russians and the right. One day I will have enough to stop you doing any more ratf*cking for the right-wing. And on that miserable day for them, they’ll be left with nothing more than Tulsi Gabbard, chew toy of the last Democratic debates.
Note those organizations, folks, and help me vet them. This will take us all.
Frazier was right, of course, and for the saddest and most noble of reasons- we thought we could trust everybody who was registered as a Democrat. He was a Democrat, yet he joined Republican lawyer Jack Burkman in suing the DNC for supposedly discriminating against the Sanders campaign. information regard Seth Rich’s murder and offering a $120,000 reward for information which is probably kept in Moscow. #FakeLeftIsAltRight.
Seth Rich’s death was almost certainly a Russian mob hit; their modus operandi worldwide is to make their murders look like failed robberies, and that’s what the NYPD concluded had done in Rich. It appears that many of the plans enacted by Stone post-Bush era have really been Putin’s; certainly the plot to rob Hillary Clinton was Kremlin fro beginning to end. As regards the Mueller investigation, it should be said of Trump’s survival that the choicest bits what happened there were locked deep in the crypts of the horrid old Cheka building, execution place of millions of Josef Stalin’s socialist Red Purges.
Many different lies were spread about Rich after he died, and it came out immediately, as though it had been prepared. That’s another factor that makes me so confident it was the R.O.C. (Russian Organized Crime is like Putin’s unofficial nongovernmental organization [NGO], the thug).
Rich also had one of the few phones that had the two-factor authentication power that would have let them in to the DNC servers, and that ought to be checked into more. If it hadn’t been for the screaming and shouting about Pizzagate and other disproved anti-Clinton lies and slanders, it would have been checked into more. Only convergence between Trump and Bernie’s campaigns made that possible. Rich was not really a Bernie supporter and absolutely was not cooking any known plans for a “whistleblowing” of some sort regarding an anti-Bern conspiracy. Those claims are disinformation, and Russian in origin. They sure had Seth’s story drummed up quick.
The significance of this discovery cannot be overrated. We see now clear as day how sneaky-and yet utterly transparent-they really are. A hardware forum, no less. They’re selling water boats up there.
Who’d think to look for it in such an unusual, apolitical spot, right? I sure didn’t. It popped up when I Googled Zack Exley and Alexander Hagen together, that and a Wikipediocracy database link in which we find Exley self-aggrandizing by writing his own article which is against the rules completely.
The contents of the fifty posts (!) regarding the Seth Rich conspiracy were interesting and plenty of truth was wound into the fiction; it’s the radical’s way to make truth into a lie.
But it wasn’t the big score. That honor goes to the way they’ve put to work the gives us a revealing glimpse into just how intricate and clever the Radical (Dis) Information Pipeline’s operating system, if you will, really is.
Bernie’s old manager Tad Devine, who we’ll be spending quite some time with in the next installment of the Dark Side of Digital Politics, was recalled from Ukraine, where he’d just finished causing the Orange Revolution by screwing the Ukrainian people with another Trumpian victory over somebody Putin did not like, Viktor Yushchenko (although sadly, he later sold out too), in favor of a blatant fiend and troglodyte named Viktor Yanukovych, convicted criminal and Russian mobster (like the people who almost certainly killed Seth Rich; screw you, Burkman).
Before concluding this issue, I’d like to thank the hackers whose two and a half years worth of work has saved me two and a half decades worth of the same. They’re good writers, folks; I learned a lot while doing the research for this. Their stuff included a tremendous amount of absolutely true facts which led me to no end of interesting leads; thanks, guys. I am flattered by your interest in my work and I harbor no wish to shatter you, so don’t push it. Quit being underhanded and come put all that education of yours in the ring with me, on Twitter. Hanging out at the bottom of my digital toilet’s going to get smelly.
I’m pretty sure you’re all done trying to hack the blog, but you’re not going to be done sweating bullets until you engage with me in the pit fight of a live Twitter debate. Come by anytime, there’s a Contact form on the site, don’t be shy, there’s no need for a VPN (to my regular readers, that stands for virtual protocol network, a privacy tool that hides your internet protocol (IP) address from the world; Democrats NEED these, get one! Get one!)
Going forward, Democrats, we’re going to help our hackers more fully accept what their sudden silence has told me they are starting to realize; that when someone figures out your metadata by instinct, all your tricks become transparent and serve only to reveal you. I have tracked you by them, hackers, throughout many years of your lives. For example, Mr. Alexander Hagen of Etheric Networks, alias “aligzanduh”, it seems like you’ve been feeling on the Bern good and hard, although you didn’t want to go to town publicly past a certain point, and you counted on the indolence of others to keep you safe from getting figured out and then exposed. Here’s a video you did for YouTube, though; and as with everything else, don’t bother to delete it. I made copies. It’ll just show you up even worse.
Feeling the Bern that hard is all but molestation, sir. Do please keep on hacking the site if you want, but also, do feel free to take a good whipping in debate on Twitter. That’s @MilDemsAmerica, all you hackers who are right now reading avidly. The link’s right there; follow me and I’ll follow you back, and so grows the discourse that may one day lead us to a heightened awareness as a species-or to a Red Tide toilet bowl.
Fill all the water boat forums with conspiracy theories that you want, guys. I will find them offshore or onshore, offline or online. You lot may not have goals that are easy to pin down, but the identification of your traps and zaps is now a broken code. Better start looking for some real work; a recently fired Bernie girl I know has left an opening at her local Dollar Tree. She’s probably on Tuggalo’s Facebook Friends list too.
Part Three will be focused on the introduction of a new political spectrum theory, hammered out by myself and my team over the years, with a LOT of help from my dutiful data-fetching hackers. It’s called Zero Theory, and it completes the Horseshoe Theory that described an earlier phase in America’s political transition over the last few decades.
The political spectrum, I contend, is not a mere horseshoe, but one that has turned inward into a circle. One to Ten are directly across from each other and swimming in the same darkwater pool; the completing Zero, where the Land of Alt is found, a topsy-turvy place with no values and an ever-widening gyre that is pulling to the right.
Think the principle of transferrence, wherein a hot and a cold glass of fluid are placed next to one another, a dubious battle resulting only in a watered-down, tepid negation. From this strange and undiscovered realm, chaos flows naturally, like leaking psychic energy escaping the unconscious, and everything it touches goes insane. Stay tuned for more of the zombie plague that is the right’s Red Tide.
When the news broke last week about Joe Biden being set on by far-left wolves over a hug, I’d have given my kingdom for a good strategy. Something like this is impossible to manage pleasantly. On the one hand, we’ve just seen the last of 2018, the Year of the Democratic Woman. The #MeToo movement won the Person of the Year award. On the other hand, Biden didn’t really do anything!
We have got to show the world we can perceive the difference between a legitimate sexual assault and-
Well, whatever this is.
For the record, at Millennial Democrats, we understand that it is very important that women be believed when they come forward with their stories.
For anyone who doesn’t understand the history behind that, it goes back to many decades, if not centuries, worth of female oppression. Symbolic of the situation were the countless rape trials in which the victim was put on trial far more than the man was, and that’s what we can never go back to. How many sexual partners has she had, how short was her skirt, et cetera. It was a sickening state of affairs, and no mistake.
Seeing rape culture wiped like the stain it is from human society is our goal, and we will fight for it with all we’ve got. #MeToo is significant, and it deserves our support.
That is why it has been all the more dismaying to see it weaponized, by the same callous right-wingers who built and have perpetuated American rape culture in the first place.
For make no mistake, this is just a hit job on the man most likely to be the next President of the United States of America- Joe Biden.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. has been here for us for a long time. He served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Like us, he is a member of the Democratic Party. He represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. He has made presidential runs before but ultimately ended up as Barack Obama’s right hand man instead, in 2008 and again in 2012.
Biden is a good man who has given his life in the service of the United States of America, and well worth supporting if he should end up being the candidate. As an aside, this article does not imply an endorsement at this time. It’s too early. But if, in the end, it is Biden, I’ll be very proud to stand behind his decades of expertise and experience.
Recently, a Bernie Sanders supporter named Lucy Flores accused Joe Biden of having given her- wait for it-
I’ll respectfully pause here so that you can finish your horrified gasp.
Flores has not actually gone so far as to label this hug a “sexual assault” this week, claiming the hug was given on the campaign trail when she was running for Vermont lieutenant governor back in 2014.
That’s good, because even as it is, the amount of anti-Biden hatred being shouted around by Bernie’s crazy supporters is a disgrace. Making this appear to be a sexual assault, and acting outraged as though it were, is an insult to the legitimate struggles of everyone who has ever been sexually assaulted for real, from the beginning of time until now.
Tezlyn Figaro, who worked with Flores at Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) organization Our Revolution, has similarly felt compelled to speak out on Flores. From what it sounds like, she didn’t leave the best impression on her. She explained on “Fox & Friends” why she filed an EEOC complaint against her and why Biden should know his accuser is a “fraud” and a “racist”.
“You know, Vice President Joe Biden, if you are listening, you should know that Lucy Flores is a fraud,” Figaro said.
@morningmika U were right when you said shouldn’t we question #LucyFlores political motives? Today I exposed the EEOC claim that I filed LAST year about Lucy’s retaliation efforts. After Lucy’s long history of schemes I am t/ONLY one that took legal action to fight back! @JoeNBC
#LucyFlores EXPOSED! This am on #FoxNews I EXPOSED the truth (backed up with the EEOC claim that I filed in August 2018) about #LucyFlores previous retaliation schemes. If everyone believes women then believe me when I say #LucyBLying#JoeShouldKnow#FraudAlert@JoeBiden@BillR
A lying Bernie Bot going for a Republican-style ratf*ck- Is this really still a shock to anyone?
We know Joe Biden! He is a good man, he has been a dedicated public servant. He has given his whole life in the service of this country. Are we really going to pretend like it’s okay to wipe that out over a hug? Never!
This is getting to the point of being a complete disgrace, just like it was when Roger Stone got Leeann Tweeden-a Fox News radio show host, no less- to try and call #MeToo on then-Minnesota senator Al Franken over an old picture taken on a comedy tour back in 2003 when the Iraq War was going on.
Franken resigned, too, and in my view, that was a big mistake. We needed him, we needed his voice, we needed his loyalty. They’ve been aiming to fell with snipers all the good Democrats they can, because they know we’re always going to be the ones in the way of their evil, wicked plans. At least we got Amy Klobuchar out of the deal, but still.
Do not buy in, America! We’ve got a guy on one hand who has treated women in a kind, gentle, and affectionate manner, and another guy who openly boasts of sexually molesting them, of using their private parts as something he can grab (to say nothing of Rape Fantasy Bernie)! Let’s make it clear to the world we can see the distinction.
The name of Bernie Sanders did not appear on the ballot in a single state during the 2016 general election. But a large share of the blame for this disaster that is the current administration lies squarely on his shoulders.
The Bernie or Bust movement was a nightmare, the blatant racism and sexism shown by his campaign were a worse one. But in terms of national security, however, worst of all was the Russian support, particularly on social media, that kept his campaign alive long past the point of reason.
Using illegally acquired data from Wikileaks, emails that suggested little wrongdoing, the Russians successfully goaded Bernie, and his supporters showed his anger on the streets of Philadelphia, while inside the Democratic National Convention, Paul Simon played the first notes of “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”.
Bernie’s conduct, when questioned about this, has been defensive and rude, and this reaction has added to the number of raised questions that linger to this day about where the senator stands on the shadowy foreign figures who were once involved with his campaign.
The evidence is clear that Sanders became the Ralph Nader of 2016, peeling off just enough votes from the Democratic candidate to spoil the election. All the chaos he created on the left drained just as much support away from Hillary Clinton as it took for Donald Trump to win. By this point, the proof is huge and glaring that he, and to a less well-known and effective extent, Jill Stein, allowed themselves to be used as Putin’s other puppets.
We had hoped he would be smart enough not to split the whole left by running again, but that is not going to be the case. So now that Bernie Sanders has formally declared his candidacy, a bad but not unexpected move, we’re coming across a lot of different questions regarding what manner of man he is.
Is he a socialist? Yes. He’s been calling himself a “Democratic Socialist” since the 1960’s. The word “Democratic” is not a qualifier; it is better off deleted. He means he’s a socialist, plain and simple.
Is he less than one hundred years old? We’re not sure, but he claims to be. Birth records support this claim, technically, but not by much.
Is he an escaped Walking Dead extra? No one can say for certain, either way.
All of these are good questions, and the disturbing answers to them raise serious concerns about his viability to compete in a general election. But the big questions are these. How much damage did Bernie Sanders do in 2016, and how bad were the Russians infested in his campaign apparatus?
In the three states that put Trump in the Oval Office, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, a high number of voters who voted for Sanders in the Democratic primary in those states crossed over and voted for Trump in the general election.
One in ten, to be exact. We’re talking thousands of people here. Registered Democrats who went so far as to actually vote for Trump.
Is it true that he and his campaign were involved in the Russian plot to interfere with our 2016 presidential election? The one that Trump says was fake news, but was actually so real it’s truly awful?
The answer to that question is a resounding yes, and we’re going to make the case for it thoroughly.
Let’s start by taking a look at the Russian motive, means, and modus operandi for giving Bernie Sanders a hand against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary.
Motive: Vladimir Putin wanted to cost Hillary Clinton the election, by any means necessary. The most effective, obvious, and accessible ways for him to do it was to give her opponents a hand.
One of these opponents was Donald Trump, the obvious recipient of most of Putin’s goodwill. Another, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, was physically present at the infamous December of 2015 dinner meeting with former National Security Adviser and Retired General Michael Flynn. The third, and the focus of this article was Bernie Sanders, her primary opponent.
Former U.S. officials who worked on Russia policy with Clinton have laid out the reasons for this in detail. Vladimir Putin, of course, is the multibillionaire dictator of Russia who paid for all this to take place.
Hillary Clinton strongly condemned the validity of Russia’s parliamentary elections in December of 2011. This made Putin very unhappy. He had his anger communicated directly to President Barack Obama.
“Former U.S. officials who worked on Russia policy with Clinton say that Putin was personally stung by Clinton’s December 2011 condemnation of Russia’s parliamentary elections, and had his anger communicated directly to President Barack Obama. They say Putin and his advisers are also keenly aware that, even as she executed Obama’s “reset” policy with Russia, Clinton took a harder line toward Moscow than others in the administration. And they say Putin sees Clinton as a forceful proponent of “regime change” policies that the Russian leader considers a grave threat to his own survival.”
“He was very upset [with Clinton] and continued to be for the rest of the time that I was in government,” said Michael McFaul, who served as the top Russia official in Obama’s national security council from 2009 to December 2011 and then was U.S. ambassador to Moscow until early 2014. “One could speculate that this is his moment for payback.”
He ended up getting it, but not without a lot of domestic help. It came from the far left, and it came from the alt-right, suggesting strongly what we strongly believe: The alt-right and the far left are one.
A spokesperson for the publication told Town and Country Magazine that was because they haven’t been able to figure it out. “While Forbes has been able to track money tied to Putin’s allies, we have not been able to come up with a defensible, provable estimate of his net worth.”
For a guy like this, throwing a few tens or even hundreds of millions into manipulating the elections of other countries to make them more amenable to Russian interests is nothing. It would almost be strange if he didn’t do it.
Putin has paid for “destability” campaigns worldwide. The far right is not alone among radicals in getting plenty of Russian assistance. The far left, which has shown just as strong a resurgence as its counterpart since the Great Recession happened, is also getting more than its fair share. Russia, it seems, is never short of rubles to spend on troublemaking.
Director of the Political Capital Institute Peter Kreko has been recently involved in research regarding this matter. He concluded two facts about the intentions of Putin. First, that he is becoming the frontman of a worldwide anti-human rights movement, and second, that he is investing in, stirring up, and inciting radicals on both ends of the spectrum that are trying to “sabotage democracy in Europe”.
Kreko describes Russian tactics focused on destabilizing the EU and advancing Moscow’s ideology. This includes supporting parties and candidates on the margins, such as Bernie Sanders, or Jill Stein and the Green Party.
In America, we are experiencing many problems with so-called progressives who are still insisting, in the face of the overwhelming evidence that keeps piling up, that “the Russia thing” is simply a distraction from the main issue, that in their view being how the DNC cheated Bernie Sanders (it didn’t). These people are doing the entire human race a grand disservice.
By turning a blind eye to the machinations of the most nakedly aggressive power to arise in the world since Hitler’s Third Reich, for the sake of stoking a petty grudge, they are in fact helping to make possible the same specific chaotic social conditions that in the past allowed far-right populist movements like Germany’s National Socialism to thrive.
They don’t understand that they are being duped by people who long ago grew cynical and full of boredom regarding the sorts of dreams and theories Bernie Sanders is espousing. After all, they invented most of it, and more a hundred years ago.
The left’s affiliation with the Kremlin can be explained better via the “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” principle. Marx long taught that Communists should make any such alliances as are helpful toward the ultimate goal of dissolving the State. Russia’s state-controlled economy, which promises to keep “big capital” in check, has proved attractive as a model for many anti-capitalists.
Democratic Socialists, such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have clearly labeled themselves as anti-capitalist. This would have made them extremely valuable to Soviet propagandists working from inside the KGB. It still does.
Modus Operandi: Hiring hackers to spread dirt and lies around to influence elections is part of the Russian toolkit. The 2016 plan was not a new strategy, but rather a direct descendant of the original Cheka Disinformation Office, founded by “Iron” Felix Dzherzhinsky in 1923. Working both ends of the radical spectrum, left and right, to destabilize the interior of an enemy country. That is what they do.
Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs has a researcher named Ben Buchanan working for them, also a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. The focus of his research lies in examining how nations use their capabilities for attack and espionage in cyberspace against one another and examining the strategies that drive this usage. His words in their unaltered form may help to shed some light.
“There is a demonstrated pattern of Russian cyber operations stretching back several decades. One major early case, dating from the late 1990s, is commonly referred to as Moonlight Maze. In that case, Russian hackers penetrated a wide range of American networks for espionage purposes. Since then, Russian cyber operations have continued to expand greatly, hacking into key military, political, and economic institutions.”
“These operations show adeptness in several ways. Perhaps most significant is that they demonstrate how the Russians have developed new digital methods to accomplish old tasks. A series of espionage cases show the Russian aptitude for gathering information using computer hacking. The 2007 attack on Estonia and 2008 attack on Georgia are an exhibit of how Russia uses cyber operations against democratic states. Though we have somewhat less information about it, the 2015 blackout in Ukraine—the first ever publicly known case of a power outage caused by cyber-attack—shows the potency of cyber-attacks that appear to be Russian in origin. And the 2016 election interference demonstrates that the Russians have married their longstanding history of influence operations with their more recently developed capacity for hacking.” -With thanks to the Wilson Center.
The particulars of how these political digital influence campaigns worked out in practice in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary will be only too memorial to any Democratic activist who was around in 2016. We’ve included an anecdote that sums up what they were trying for precisely.
Around September 14 in 2016, for example, one “account specialist” of a Russian-controlled Facebook group called “Secured Borders” was reprimanded for having a “low number of posts dedicated to criticizing Hillary Clinton.”
The specialist was also told, “it is imperative to intensify criticizing Hillary Clinton.”
Later on, Russian operatives used accounts they controlled — including an account called “Woke Blacks” and “Blacktivist” — to urge Americans to vote for third-party candidates or not to vote at all. “Choose peace and vote for Jill Stein,” one such message read. “Trust me, it’s not a wasted vote.”
Not for Russia, anyway.
No, indeed, Donald Trump was not the only candidate the Russians tried to help during the 2016 presidential campaign. One other name was mentioned specifically. Senator Bernard Sanders, I-VT. The Mueller indictments of a year ago offer solid confirmation of what we have been saying all along. The specific mention of Trump and Sanders shows that the Russian government decided early on to oppose Clinton.
A personal anecdote, that I’ll admit to having shared before. The editor of Millennial Democrats was online alongside legions of others, out there for HRC from 2015 onward, every day, for many hours. Anyone who was there back then can tell you. It can be stated categorically that there was a tangible, palpable disinformation campaign going on against Hillary Clinton. It worked, too. The Bernie Bots truly hated us, and their viciousness knew no bounds at all.
It still doesn’t.
In my experience, this blog and its affiliate Millennial Democrats Facebook Pages and Millennial Democrats Twitter account, which is a fifty state plus nationwide apparatus, has been attacked by Trump trolls maybe one out of ten in the ratio of how often it has been attacked by Bernie trolls. This has little to do with what side of the country we are talking about. It goes right across the board.
I’ve written in a 3 to 1 ratio of pieces targeting the right rather than the far left, although it is my deeply-held conviction and the conclusion pointed to by evidence that they are the same entity. But even when the week of Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation is taken into account this remains true. Any moderate Democratic activist online will tell you the same.
You would go into groups and talk to people, who were steadfast in their refusal to listen far beyond the bounds of reason or even fanaticism. These guys were professionals.
It was like they were getting paid per response. They all seemed to be equipped with the same list of hit points about Hillary Clinton. This became clear after a while because the very same slanders would be laid out every time, in sequential order. In many cases the wording was actually identical, although most took the time to switch about at least a thing or two. And they were just as prevalent on the left as on the right.
It got especially bad during the last month of the Democratic primary, which was a very horrible time filled with chaos and division.
During this time, we were savagely attacked. Anything we posted would be Reported as Spam/Abuse by political adversaries from both the alt-right and radical left. We were barraged with nasty messages and threats; as a matter of fact, we continue to get them. They just keep rolling in, day after day, month piled on top of month. It’s called gaslighting; they want to wear you down so you give up.
One particularly rabid group of Bernie Sanders supporters told one of our contributors that they hoped she was gang-raped.
The list is long, sick, and sordid. Drop by drop, it has convinced us to take an unequivocal stance of #NeverBernie– and stick to it.
During the 2016 electoral cycle itself, nobody wanted to listen. Most Bernie supporters still will not listen; many today will actually go so far as to claim that Russia is participating in the campaign against Bernie.
This is the equivalent of a mugger calling for help as he snatches an old lady’s purse.
“Looks like we finally know for sure why Bernie would not vote to sanction Russia,” I wrote at the time, still in a state of shock at just how surreal it was for Bernie to reinforce all this by being one of two senators who refused to pass the bill for new sanctions in 2017.
He just called in sick for the vote to lift sanctions on close Putin ally Oleg Deripaska’s aluminum company recently. And this from a guy who very rarely misses work. Of the new crop of presidential candidates, only Elizabeth Warren has missed fewer votes than Bernie.
Bernie’s people have never wanted him to touch “the Russia thing”, and most even to this day will make claims about how “it’s not all about Russia” and we need to “Talk about the issues”. They want to laugh it off, even while when it comes time to talk about what Trump was doing. This is hypocritical. When Trump does it, it’s a big threat. But when Bernie does it, it’s as though it is just a little fun.
This gives you a look at how it was back then. It’s a Russian Twitter account called “Missouri News” (@MissouriNewsUS), which sent out pictures of Sanders and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt with the line “Bernie Sanders is basically a New Deal Democrat, #feeltheBern.”
Our entire intelligence community unanimously agrees that they’re targeting us. We know that they’ve been able to get malware into our power grids. We know also that they’re considered a complete menace in Europe, where they have demonstrated their ability to turn off the lights on huge swathes of Ukraine and take Estonia offline completely. But Bernie will not talk about it, so they simply will not look at it.
They will physically squirm in real life conversations. They remind me of Fox News devotees.
“A guy who was on my staff … checked it out and he went to the Clinton campaign, and he said, ‘You know what? I think these guys are Russians,’” Sanders said.
A former Clinton campaign staffer told Politico it was nonsense that Sanders’ campaign had reached out to Clinton’s about potential Russian interference. “No one from the Sanders campaign ever contacted us about this” — not in September, and not in “April and May.”
They never said or did a thing of that nature. Nothing of the sort ever happened. Not once. Not even after Bernie had offered his weak, half-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
Guy on your staff, eh, Bernie? And just to think. All of this is before we’ve even mentioned Tad Devine.
Devine was Bernie’s chief campaign strategist, the most senior of advisers to the 2016 Sanders campaign. He was also the good friend and colleague of decades of Paul Manafort, who at the same time was running the Trump campaign. Devine was the first witness called at Manafort’s trial. Here is a picture of Tad Devine with Paul Manafort and the man suspected to be his contact within Russian intelligence, Konstantin Kilimnik, himself wanted by Mueller’s team for questioning and likely more.
The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank did a piece at the time, titled “The Deep Cynicism of Bernie Sanders’ Chief Strategist“. It pointed out how during his run as chief strategist for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, Devine was always the first to scream and howl about the corrupting influence of money in politics. He said “our economy is rigged,” that “special interests” buy politicians, that “all of the new wealth is going to the top of America,” that there is a “corrupt system of campaign finance” of which Hillary Clinton offered an “egregious” example.
Sanders, by contrast, “supported the little guy.”
But as we know by now, Devine had worked repeatedly to secure the election of one of the world’s most corrupt political figures and then his allies, Ukraine’s Viktor Yanukovych, a crooked pro-Putin autocrat.
Thanks to Mueller’s prosecution of Paul Manafort, who earlier this weekend saw a heavily redacted- to the tune of eight hundred pages- sentencing memo presented to the court on his behalf, the former Trump campaign chairman and business associate of Devine, we now have the glimpse of Devine’s possible role in organizing Russian help for Bernie.
Though he is hardly the first to grab cash from foreign leaders, the ease Devine had in making the switch from cold-blooded profiteer strategist to social reformer firebrand strategist seems reptilian to us in the very extreme. It’s exactly that type of bold callousness that the Russians would look for in an asset.
Tad Devine is a figure of great interest in the Russiagate investigation, in our opinion. We’ve been expecting the special counsel assigned by the Justice Department to look into Russian meddling in our 2016 election cycle, Robert Mueller, to get around to him sooner or later.
Put it this way: If Manafort is the key to understanding exactly what the Russians were doing for Trump, and Kilimnik is the key to understanding what Manafort did for the Russians, then Devine, their old friend, is the key to what the Russians were doing for Bernie. He is by far the most likely connection between the Russians and the Sanders campaign. It is our view that this connection has not been explored anywhere near thoroughly enough, and we encourage our readers to write in with what they know. We would make responsible use of it.
Radio Free Europe provides some light on the situation by providing a March 31, 2014 email from Tad Devine to Rick Gates, who in 2016 was the chief aide to Manafort, and later became a star witness against him.
There we find that Devine was the one to write Yanukovych’s 2010 victory speech. That detail was found attached to his email to Gates, in the form of a draft agreement for Manafort’s firm to work on another Ukrainian’s campaign.
That all these people know each other so well cannot be a coincidence. No wonder Trump the other day said “I like Bernie”, all atwinkle in his smiling eyes.
By the time the Fourth of July rolled around in 2016, the Federal Election Commission had repeatedly contacted the Sanders campaign with warnings that hundreds of his donors exceeded the $2,700 contribution limit. They further warned him that hundreds more may have been foreign nationals illegally giving Sanders money. The Sanders campaign, however, did not take any action.
It bears repeating that it’s a very convenient coincidence, that three of the top strategists who ran against Hillary Clinton has been doing Putin’s bidding in this capacity for longer than a decade.
Last Thursday afternoon there was a meeting of the Senate Intelligence Committee on the subject of Russian meddling into our 2016 election cycle.
During it, Retired Gen. Keith Alexander, former director of the National Security Agency, said that Russian operatives targeted both liberal and conservative voters in its disinformation campaigns during the 2016 election.
Democratic committee co-chair Sen. Mark Warner (VA) asked the panel if they had any doubt that Russia had attempted to interfere in some aspects of the 2016 election. Alexander said not only did he have no doubt, he could get very specific.
“Senator, I think what they were trying to do was drive a wedge within the Democratic Party between the Clinton group and the Sanders group,” said Alexander. This seems clear at this point to everyone but the willfully uninformed and the fanatically indoctrinated (and disingenuous Republican and other conservatives/libertarians).
The supporters of Bernie Sanders were ruthlessly taken advantage of by the Russians, who used their genuine zeal and idealism as a hammer for smashing Democratic unity to bits. They were duped by false information that came from within the Kremlin itself, and thus unwittingly became Putin’s other puppets.
The man who was in the best position to act as a conduit between the headquarters of the Sanders campaign and the Kremlin was Tad Devine.
This picture provides a vivid reminder of what Democratic activists on Facebook and Twitter have been warning everyone about in the direst of terms since 2015, namely, that the Bernie Sanders campaign was just as lousy with Russian entanglements as the Trump campaign was.
Devine may well hold an important piece of the puzzle here, which undoubtedly lies within the Sanders campaign. As Robert Mueller continues his journey to this discovery, our prayers will be with him.
By now this article has grown to prodigious length, and we applaud the reader who has followed the line all the way home. In his Rise of the Roman Empire, the ancient Greek Polybius said that the most important reason to learn history is so you have a chance to make good predictions about what may happen in the future. Russian interference is heating up for 2020 like never before, Trump has given no funding to the new national cyber-coordinator job, which basically leaves us on our own again, and we’ve got to be prepared for new forms of the same old tricks. Check out our article on Defense for Democrats.
Since this electoral cycle began, Sanders supporters have been joined and even overshadowed by the Tulsi Gabbard trolls.
One allied group of our friends recently created a Facebook page, Tulsi Gabbard Must Go. It’s been around all of a month, and yet, hundreds of trolls have fallen on it since then, like wild dogs. Some of them have shown up to troll the blog, also, like this charming lady.
Lisa Wolf Edit
This wasn’t written by a millennial. This was obviously written by a neo-liberal, 3rd Way Baby Boomer and stinks of David Brock. Reply
As for David Brock, we have good things to say about him and every other dedicated Democrat, but we don’t personally know the guy. What I will say, is that I like the smell of my hair pomade. The pleasing fragrance is half the point.
Getting back to Tulsi and Bernie and the rest of the fake left, none of this is very surprising. They’re collecting paychecks for it. Check out the amount of fake activity that accompanies everything she tweets. Keep in mind, Twitter is fighting this. Facebook is not. There are two billion people using Facebook. How incomparably worse must it be!
From this, we can see that the fake left has found a new stronghold in Bernie’s close ally.
Going forward, raising awareness on all this will become more and more important, and although the story is long and multifaceted, the narrative is clear throughout. Russia and Vladimir Putin were definitely feeling the Bern. Look for them to feel him some more as we head into the next presidential cycle.
An awful discovery from the past of Virginia governor Ralph Northam was discovered recently. He was dressed up in blackface, and standing beside another man in a Klan robe. To say the least, the sight of a man we once fought for and believed in was deeply dismaying. This was not an easy article to write.
A few words about the history of “Blackface” tradition might be useful to discuss as we begin. It was created by a “comedian” named Thomas Dartmouth Rice, back in the 1830s. His mother must have been proud to see her beloved child dancing around like a buffoon on a stage, singing moronically in an exaggerated black slave vernacular. Mine might have killed me, and not unjust would her crime have been.
Rice gave his character a name, a name which later became famous for far more terrible reasons: “Jim Crow.”
David Pilgrim, the curator of the Jim Crow Museum in Michigan, spoke to reporters from the Washington Post yesterday on the subject. He noted how Jim Crow and other performances featuring white men in blackface captivated white crowds up until the mid-20th century.
Now, thanks to Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s medical school yearbook page, blackface is back in the spotlight after this photograph emerged Friday. It was dug up by the enemies of Democrats, democracy, common sense, and decency- the insane and vicious Republicans. A former writer for the Daily Caller and Breitbart was the one who found this out. It was a hit job from the start.
Northam and us Democrats are all currently what the far right calls getting “ratf*cked”, as the fascists of Nixon’s era used to say, and helping it along really kills us. Attacking another Democrat goes against our most core beliefs.
But that’s got to take a back seat this time.
Common sense and decency, the time-honored values of the sane political center, call for us to make the decision based on more important considerations. To dress up in blackface and wear a Klan uniform is not something we can refuse to speak out on due to party loyalty. You don’t show loyalty to something by poisoning it and refusing an antidote.
Daryl Davis, a black blues musician who is known for his efforts in seeking out Klansmen to converse with to try and convert, said it best. “It doesn’t matter if the photo was from 1984, 1974 or 2004. He defined what he meant when he paired blackface with a Klan hood. Racial segregation. Racial supremacy. When you have a symbol associated with hate from the beginning, you are saying exactly what you mean.”
Millennial Democrats cannot and will not throw our base under the bus by standing with Northam on the grounds of party loyalty over this. The thought made most of us sick. So by consensus, we came together as a group and we voted on it. The decision was made to join our Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and other top Democrats nationwide in calling for Ralph Northam to step down as the Governor of Virginia.
This is hard for us.
“Why are Democrats so loyal?” was a lament made by Donald Trump the day he pathetically caved to Speaker Pelosi and ended the shutdown. He will never understand, either, but he’s spot on in drawing this conclusion. Democrats are loyal.
Usually, when this kind of thing happens, it’s a cheap hit job and a scam, like with Senator Al Franken of Minnesota. We fought as hard as we could for him, as hard as we would for any true Democrat, so long as their conduct has earned our faith and loyalty. This has limits, however, and when something like this does come up, we have got to take an unequivocal stand. Racist notions are unacceptable. Absolutely and completely unacceptable. They are anathema to everything we stand for.
Northam’s original apology– which he then went back on this morning, adding to his mistake by compounding it- featured him giving a statement saying this happened 30 years ago, and undoubtedly that is true.
In response to this apology, which was just not enough, the words of one of our contributors felt right. So with the permission of Mr. Johnny Huckaby of Hawaii, here they are.
“Imho you have a problem with your judgment if in High School you decide to wear a racist costume. For me I wouldn’t know where to find a white hooded robe… Unless he borrowed one from his Dad or his friends? It took a lot of effort to apply the blackface makeup. So all that time he’s thinking what? Was he thinking his costume would be met with acceptance or was he fearful someone might beat him up? This is really disturbing no matter if it happened 30 years ago… Are there other instances that revealed his racism that now will come to light? I can’t look the other way at such an offensive revealing of a racist such as Ralph Northam, even if the racist is a Democrat!”
Democratic party loyalty is very real, but that is because we are loyal to a principle. That is what gathered us and drove us all into the sane center together. We believe in a multicultural world and we believe that making progress entails more of it. Loyalty to the Republicans means cronyism and carries with it clannish, secret society pact kinds of connotations.
For us, it means we fully respect and regard as a family every single member of our thriving and multicultural base.
Our diversity is our greatest strength, and whoever we choose as a leader must be able to demonstrate that they thoroughly share these values. Ralph Northam has done just the opposite. That picture was taken when he was twenty-five. He was old enough to know better.
There is a large corollary point to consider here as well, which is that an offensive joke, even a particularly grotesque one such as this is, is far from the same as a career supporting structural and systemic racism as the Republicans do and have done. ‘Build the wall’ is just the tip of the iceberg.
“Yes, the photo of Gov Northam is a form of racism that’s ugly & grotesque. But the worst racism is policy & structural racism. Those who’ve supported racist immigration laws & walls at the border & the racist separation of families & children should resign now. We can’t punish the cultural symbols & ignore the policy violence.”
That is gigantic, and incidents involving past discoveries of racism should be designed to illustrate the point. In the last analysis, doing the right thing is not always easy, but that is irrelevant. Northam is done, and he must step down, just as he let himself down, and let us down by extension.
Our Democratic leadership has called for his resignation, and it is with a heavy heart that we must join them. Please step down, sir, and in so doing, show the world the difference between the conscienceless Republicans and us.
Frankly, what more can you really ask out of a single day? Speaking on my own behalf, I can say for sure. I couldn’t be any happier if I had won the lottery. I have just been sick over where this country is headed. Eight hundred thousand federal workers, going for a month without pay. It’s been one indignity after another, since the day this began and long before.
Trump’s presidency is now two years and five days old, and every day of it has been an insult to common sense and decency. Remember the first travel ban? He hadn’t been in office for two weeks, and it was worldwide pandemonium in airports. Seven continents worth of airports, clogged and logjammed with people who were suddenly- and artificially- stranded. That was the first time Trump caused a disaster for America- disaster is his favorite word- but it sure wasn’t the last. He has used this word constantly all throughout his political career. But ever since the Democrats retook the House, he has been using actual disasters as a bargaining chip and a way to deflect attention. He is said to have been convinced Pelosi would cave, and he lamented deeply.
Who knows what Trump was thinking. It’s unreal that he could have self-deluded to this extent. If he thought he was going to come in here and bluster and bully Nancy Pelosi into giving him a wall, that’s a joke. Our Speaker could probably beat that old clown in a fistfight, let alone the political arena. Remember the G7 Summit in 2017, when he had to ride a golf cart behind all the other world leaders, who were all in shape and walking? That was great for our world image, let me tell you. Old, winded, out-of-shape America. Just look at them. So much for the Art of the Deal.
Disasters they are, but the disasters are of his own creation. This is a gigantic humiliation for Trump. He capitulated completely, but not before nearly tanking the economy, causing thousands of federal workers to file for unemployment relief, and causing significant cracks in that base of his that used to forgive him anything. His poll numbers went into nuclear meltdown. He got not one dollar for a wall. He shut the government down for absolutely nothing, and he is now the laughingstock of every single person in the world. He’s on Twitter at this very moment, whining about how he wishes people would “listen to his words” about why this is not the most gigantically cowardly and buffoonish concession in the history of all mankind. You’ve got to be kidding. This is the penultimate cave. It’s the Mammoth of caves. It’s really more like a cavern.
Thirty-five days, the government stayed shut down over this. What a total and gigantic waste. Citizens were about to lose their food stamps, and that would have really killed people, especially the sick and the very old. Trump came very close to committing his administration’s second atrocity; we’ve known for a while that his administration’s ICE has literally lost nearly fifteen hundred little kids, so we can’t call it the first. This one would have been all his fault, though. No one else to blame; Trump starved old people to death to get Russiagate out of the news. Quite a legacy; perhaps that’s why he caved. If so, it would be the one worthy thing he has done during this whole affair, which of course is why the conservatives are reviling him, specifically as a “Wimp”.
Ann Coulter congratulated the departed George Herbert Walker Bush on no longer being the biggest wimp ever to hold the office. Undoubtedly, that is so. The whole thing was the ravings of an idiot in the first place, a foolish campaign promise, something for the slobs at his rallies to scream for alongside “Lock ‘er up!” Rep. Peter T. King (R-N.Y.) blames the far-right Freedom Caucus. “I hope he ignores them for the next three weeks,” King said. “It’s the charge of the Light Brigade. It’s the Valley of Death.”
These days it’s not Hillary Clinton who is facing prison time and getting locked up. It’s all of Trump’s friends, and that brings us to the second piece of the day’s big news. This morning, federal prosecutors kicked in the door of Roger Stone, self-described political dirty trickster, and hauled him off to jail. It cost him $250,000 to bail himself out, which he probably got from some Russian still hoping to hit an easy lick. We’d like to say that’s over with for Russia. Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders had to try and spoil the day by running for president again, so there will probably be plenty of fresh acrimonies for them to exploit, especially during the primaries. We’ll get to that soon. For tonight, we would like to say God bless America and express to him our deepest gratitude. Because very soon we will be saying goodbye to Donald Trump.
Roger Stone may have sworn his loyalty, but that won’t do Donald any good, because Roger is just a poser anyway. No serious person would tattoo Richard Nixon’s face on their back. He missed the boat on Watergate and has spent the rest of his life yearning for the halcyon days when domestic fascism was strong enough to create this kind of scandal without the help of Russian rubles. Sleep well, Roger Stone. You sold out your country to the Russians, the worst enemies of America. And while the others did it for greed, or because of misplaced convictions based on sexism, you did it strictly out of malice, because that is what you do. Enjoy going down in the history books next to Benedict Arnold and Vidkun Quisling.
How sweet it is. Remember that one documentary for Netflix he did, Get Me Roger Stone? “I revel in your hate!” he defiantly shot at Democrats. Hate isn’t the word, exactly; more like loathing and disgust. We might have thrown up our hands then, but now we’re smoothing back our hair with them. Go ahead and revel, then, Rog. Have a blast, right there in your prison cell, eating Ramen noodles with Paul Manafort. His We’ll all be reveling together, in that case. It’s been a great day for America. Today, we stayed the land of the free, and the home of the brave. We have not, as Mark Twain once said, exchanged our honor for a phrase. If a phrase is needed, then perhaps this Republican president of yesterday’s will suffice.
“Mr. President, tear down that wall.” -Ronald Reagan
Here on the eve of the confirmation of the new Attorney General pick, William Barr, questions abound about the Russiagate investigation and the eventual fate of the special counsel Robert Mueller chosen to administrate it. Barr has been critical of Mueller’s investigation but has stated that he will not interfere. We’ll see. To put it mildly, serious reasons exist to doubt the sincerity of America’s abortive failure of a forty-fifth president when he says he will not fire Mueller, the man who has compiled the case that will likely destroy him. Barr seems like a rubber stamp brought in to do just that, the hatchetman of Russian assets. We hope he proves us wrong.
If Trump does fire Mueller, it will be highly reminiscent of another corrupt president who fired a special prosecutor, president Richard Milhous Nixon. Nixon’s firing of Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox began the end of his presidency, and so conventional wisdom has held that Trump will not go there. Congressional Republicans have also said that the firing of the special counsel Mueller would be a crossing of the line for them, although it’s true we have no reason to believe them either. They have caved to Trump on everything and often in the most shameful imaginable ways. Devin Nunes, former chairman of the House Intelligence Oversight Committee, was recently found to be deliberately covering up House findings in order to protect Trump.
When considered as part of the whole incident, it seems clear this could be destined to bring us into uncharted territory completely if Trump does go the Nixon route. It wouldn’t save him, and it would damn him further in the opinion of many, but he wouldn’t resign as Nixon did. His conduct during the lengthening and unnecessary #TrumpShutdown proves him once again to be utterly without scruples. It is certain he will use the country as hostages again in the process of getting the Russiagate spotlight off of him. Thus, we have no choice but to conclude that the conventional wisdom- which also did not predict the shutdown, or the fool’s errand that was the travel ban, or the Helsinki debacle, or any number of other horrible things- is probably wrong again.
Of course Trump would fire Mueller. ‘Don’t expect Trump to go quietly’, read a Washington Post article published on January 14th. He’s got the whole country held hostage at this moment, he unrepentantly lies about anything that happens to cross his mind, and he thinks he’s “winning”, whatever that even means in the context of a ruined economy and a devastated government. I guess it means getting Employee of the Month from Vladimir Putin. Firing Mueller would fit right in as the stupidest and worst for America thing he could possibly do. It’s a glaring absence in his resume as it is.
In related news, Trump, who was in the news over the weekend for having sworn his interpreters in his three closed-door meetings with Putin to secrecy, has taken an increasingly aggressive and door-closed stance toward Mueller’s requests for an in-person interview. Gone are the days when he boasts of having done nothing and means his crimes. The Trump of yesterday always said of Mueller that “No one wants to speak more than me“. That line is yesterday’s news, although references to the “Fake News Media” that has plagued him like the Furies remain plentiful. As usual, Trump blames himself for nothing, and provides an object- and abject- example to American children of what a spoiled brat at its worst can do.
News that the special counsel has already drafted a report- a report that draws the most damning possible conclusions- joined the confiscation of notes taken during his closed-door meetings with Putin as the two top stories in the news this weekend. Trump‘s behavior toward the Russian president was the focus of Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein on Sunday, when he appeared on CNN’s Reliable Sources. While there, Bernstein- whose investigative journalism helped to take down Nixon- said the special counsel investigating Trump will find he “helped Putin destabilize the United States and interfere in the election.” Any Facebook activist can tell you this. We’ve seen it develop from the day they prepared the Wikileaks dumps.
We would also like to give a farewell salute to the former and departing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who did not have to pick someone who would look into this as hard as Mueller would, and acted with integrity throughout in spite of Republican reviles. His decency and professionalism will be missed.
In the last analysis, from the standpoint of this illegitimate infantile president, sitting back and letting this atomic report fall on him would most likely be better than trying to resist the inevitable by trying to bring this to an end. Cracks in Trump’s base are said to be forming at last, and as these people realize what they’ve been buying into, more and more of them will be looking for a new home, and a sane alternative. Our capacity to find this for them will prove to be a critical part of success for us as we move forward. Russia has been the chiefest enemy of America for nearly a hundred years now, and most Americans still know that. Reminding them is the way to go moving forward.
The New York Times reported late Friday that federal investigators are said to have become so alarmed by Trump’s conduct after he fired former FBI director James Comey that they at once opened a probe into whether the orange infant in the White House has been secretly working with Russia, all along, for Putin himself.
According to sources considered reliable by that venerable newspaper, counterintelligence officials were assigned to the case.
Let’s talk about that word for a minute, counterintelligence. Google Dictionary gives an excellent working definition. It refers to activities designed to prevent or thwart spying, intelligence gathering, and sabotage by an enemy or other foreign entity. Therefore, counterintelligence agents are only assigned to cases serious enough to be considered a risk to national security.
In other words, this is earth-shaking beyond all belief for Donald Trump.
Russia is and has for much of our history been the chief global rival of America. For our president to be in the actual employ of their president is clearly a worst-case scenario. We’ve been saying this for years, of course.
Now the big boys are saying it too.
For a counterintelligence committee to be examining not only whether Trump’s actions were undermining national security, but also whether he was working at the behest of the Kremlin, is clearly of the most phenomenal importance.
On Rachel Maddow‘s Friday night television show, AM Joy Reid of MSNBC was standing in, and hosted Former Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi for an interview. He said that the FBI would only even consider a decision of this magnitude without having evidence of the most utterly compelling nature, something on the level of taped conversations and the like.
Trump has been screaming for years that the whole Russian collusion story is nothing but fake news, and his sheer vehemence gave him some early successes in getting people to stop using the word.
Collusion is back on the table to stay, after this.
Just last week Time tracked down the man Deripaska used to get Manafort to pay up. “He owed us a lot of money,” Victor Boyarkin told Time. “And he was offering ways to pay it back … I came down on him hard.”
As much as Manafort is a detestable character, what does it say about America, that Russians can come over here and push our people around like this with impugnity? This has to be stopped at once. It is our opinion that the Russian Mafia, the feared ROC, should be pored over and removed from its influence from every scrap of our fair nation. Not even the garbage should be left over for them- aluminum cans are worth billions! Just ask Oleg Deripaska.
Kilimnik, a shadowy and truant figure long believed to hold many pieces of this puzzle, is known by the nickname of Manafort’s Manafort. He is connected to Russian intelligence services like the GRU, which also hosted Fancy Bear and Guccifer 2.0, the hackers who got Julian Assange the hacked DNC emails that he dumped on us through Wikileaks.
The Wikileaks succeeded beyond their wildest imaginations.
Nevertheless, the Bernie Bots and Bros rioted in the streets of Philadelphia over minor written exchanges proving that Debbie Wassermann-Schultz and Bernie did not like each other. It was the biggest single coup of the Trump campaign’s whole summer, and also the night that Russiagate became something tangible.
The Russians were said to be overjoyed. The emails themselves were played up so much by Trump and his base that by the time they were released, it did not matter what was in them, and it turned out to be nothing to an extent that was simply huge.
The information pipeline that got all this done featured Manafort, his campaign deputy Rick Gates, and Kilimnik funneling many files full of Trump campaign information to bring back to Deripaska, and received many back in return. It was reciprocal and totally coordinated. Manafort knew what he was doing to America every last step of the way.
Deripaska’s not that much of a political guy, but he does have one big interest in giving Trump a hand. He is extremely close to Putin and relies on him to keep his personal fortune. All of Russia works and eats at Putin’s order; he has more control than Stalin did over there.
In the last analysis, Manafort was not chosen because of his consummate skill or charming personal characteristics. He was chosen because he was convenient, due to the money he owed for those Cayman Island hotels he burned up Deripaska’s friendship for. Many email exchanges between the two indicate Manafort’s frequent and pleading queries as to whether or not the two of them were “good”. He had that Boyarkin ogre ready to pick his bones, he was scared, and he’d been their guy so long by then that he felt there was no turning back.
So he made a devil’s bargain to sell out his country, in order to save his behind. That is the most rotten and cowardly choice that anyone can ever make. Manafort’s name will be reviled throughout all of human history, and as with the Benedict Arnolds and Vidkun Quislings of history, his name will be held up as an example of greed and cowardice to serve mankind’s final generations with a lesson that resounds with eternal importance.
Going forward, we must reexamine the entire concept of treason. We should view the Cold War as a conflict which never ended, but rather shifted forms and chosen new battlefields in the virtual realms of politics. In that scenario, Trump would be a traitor by every metric, and this is the most truthful narrative.
In the months leading up to the Blue Wave earlier this month, special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation went all but silent, a nod to fairness and decency from the Justice Department, who did not want to influence the elections by showing all the people what an utter swine its Republican president is just before they went to the polls.
The elections ended, America took a deep breath, and all of us waited for the report that’s been so long in coming.
Then things started exploding.
At this point developments with Russiagate are coming so hot and heavy that it’s hard to keep up with them all. Paul Manafort’s plea agreement has been violated because he lied to Mueller’s prosecutors and got caught. Sometimes the lies we humans tell are quite revealing.
At any rate, he can’t go back on it. That plea is final, and Manafort has admitted his guilt. They may also now hit him with the old charges they’d withheld. Looking like life in prison for that guy, or Russian radiation poison on the streets when he gets out. Nobody’s fault but his own.
Another guy who did some pleading was Trump’s old lawyer Michael Cohen, just today, admitting that he perjured himself in last year in front of Congress about the proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow that was being planned out during the campaign.
Cohen made his admission while pleading guilty Thursday in federal court to a charge from special counsel Robert Mueller’s office. He also had some other interesting things to say about the role of the fascinating person known as Individual One in recent court filings. Who is this primary source of a person, you ask?
None other than our very own non-president, Donald Trump.
Cohen made it contritely clear that he lied out of a sense of obligation to Trump. “I made these statements to be consistent with Individual-1’s political messaging and out of loyalty to Individual-1,” Cohen said.
Individual-1 was identified in court filings as Trump. And Cohen identified him as such in a New York courtroom Thursday.
Mueller has now honed in officially on the man who colluded with our worst enemy to steal the highest office in our land- yet never learned the way to spell collusion. It makes one feel a tiny twinge of pity for the demented old man. He isn’t the world’s worst man, he’s just a foolish and silly one.
His friends, however, are the very worst. And he was in constant contact with them all the way through this thing, just as we here at Millennial Democrats have joined millions of other Democrats in predicting from Day One. He was on the phone left and right with Roger Stone, and Stone was in touch with Guccifer 2.0. Probably he had a pipeline of some sort to Julian Assange at Wikileaks.
In related news, Assange is to be tried for espionage as soon as we can roust him from his Ecuadorian embassy home and get him back here to answer for his crimes. He too has his day in court coming.
Emails between Stone and right-wing conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi, who has said he expects to be indicted for his own role in this whole mess, provide bedrock evidence that every word of the Trump team’s party line is provably false. One wonders just how long Mueller has known about all this.
Either way, Corsi told investigators that Stone, his associate, asked him in the summer of 2016 to get in touch with WikiLeaks. They needed data about unreleased materials relevant to the presidential campaign, the draft court papers say.
“Get to (Assange) [a]t Ecuadorian Embassy in London and get the pending (WikiLeaks) emails,” it said. How much more clear can you get?
In the meantime, Trump himself is in the same old meltdown mode he has been in since before he even got elected. He’s in over his head, and must now play his role as he’s been paid to. We have always known that Putin has something on him, and it’s looking like we’re very close to finding out what.
Expect Trump to lash out in desperation, he has none of Nixon’s principles and all of his meanness and corruption. He will never quietly resign, and might do anything trying to save himself. Victory is near, but that is always the most dangerous time. Great caution and attention must be paid to the following two months.
One thing is for sure, however. We will be here for it, raising awareness and giving you the facts. See you in the trenches!
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been indicted by the United States! It’s a beautiful day for a neighbor.
This story’s release was not destined for the front page- at least, not right away. It was found in an unsealed court filing in an unrelated case. The document contained the phrase “Assange has already been charged”. What is thought to be a simple copy/paste error has got the entire world talking.
Assange is and has been a criminal and a digital terrorist worldwide. He also is a suspected rapist. Assange has now been hiding out in his Ecuadorian embassy home for two years. He is said to live in slovenly conditions and recently had to be ordered by the courts of Ecuador to feed his cat. Animal abuse, no less! It’s time to bring this man to justice.
Wikileaks, under his direction, has attempted to cut the throat of American intelligence time and time again. He has disrupted the functioning of our country in every way he’s been able to think up.
He is an enemy of America, and he made himself that way, for no real reason. He did this to himself for fame and glory. Still, American law has been hesitant to condemn him, for fear of setting a precedent of discouraging investigative journalism. It’s important to be decent, even when the guy you’re up against is not.
Assange claims to be neutral, both in general and in regard to our 2016 election, but every single leak ever released by his outlet was designed to hurt Hillary Clinton and no one else. He claimed that was because no data was ever sent to WikiLeaks, about the Sanders or Trump campaigns.
However, the decidedly non-neutral Roger Stone had what he called a “Perfectly Legal” back channel to Assange, who got the electronic documents from the entity known as Guccifer 2.0, who was later proven to be a Russian intelligence officer working for the GRU.
There is nothing more important than a free press, an independent press like the one Putin destroyed in Russia. That is not in question. But there is a big difference between journalism and doxing, and the difference is that one is edifying and one is malicious. One seeks to educate and enlighten, and the other seeks only to destroy. In the last analysis, intent speaks for itself, and you get what’s coming to you.
Humanitarian concerns keep us from wishing physical harm on the man. The death penalty is wrong, and torture is wrong, regardless of the circumstances, no matter how egregious the criminal. We don’t feel he should be waterboarded at Guantanamo- the hole at United States Penitentiary-Leavenworth is hard enough. And even though the slipup was actually revealed in a pedophilia case, it is important to note that Assange has only allegedly raped two women in Sweden. Those are two more of the reasons why he needs to be taken somewhere and tried.
When Ecuador first gave asylum to Assange, he was still a hero to many on the left, and to many opponents of “US imperialism”. This sentiment runs deep in South America, and not unjustly so. So he was given asylum; a very decent act on the part of Ecuador.
But that was before he started using their place to hack our elections and do harm to everyone who’s breathing. What a guy. If I were Assange, I would start a GoFundMe for commissary.
