Stand as One in 2020, Democrats. The World is Counting On Us.

Stand as one in 2020, Democrats.
The disaster caused by the illegitimate 2016 election has widened like the crack in a dam during the Donald Trump era, and people all over the world are feeling the pressure.  A radical tide has swept over the whole planet, attacking like a hydra from all over the political spectrum, and the only thing holding it back is the strength of what has always been the bulwark of democracy on Earth, the United States of America.
But they’ve got their guy in charge of it, right now. We’re in trouble. Bad trouble. Readers of this blog will not need to be told.
Lack of cooperation between the various segments of the left not only lost us every branch of government in 2016, which was bad enough. It also left the door open for all kinds of infectious diseases and poisons to wander in. We have staved this off so far because we Democrats have had one big advantage. We have always had a good, solid moderate core in the center of the Party dedicated to its upkeep and maintenance, and so we have achieved strength through our unity even in the two years we had no power. That is being challenged by the beginning of factious, tangled wrangling between supporters of one or the other candidate.
This cannot be allowed.
In many ways, I consider this to be the most important article I’ve ever written. This is a call to every remote reach of the world, a shout out to any and all Democrats on Earth, and it is coming from the gut like nothing I’ve ever felt in my whole life. Every cell in my whole body agonizes for it. Please understand and come to realize.
Democrats must come together. Now.
Unity is our last best hope. Without it, we may very well lose everything. We could be flat on our backs for the rest of our lives, and subsequent generations of our children would be born into something like slavery. For the love of all creation, for the love of the whole human race, and for the love of love itself, help us to keep this 2020 presidential race a good one.
We are not enemies, it’s just the opposite. We are a family. We must become one in spirit and resolve. The requirements of the position demand it. The consequence of failure is defeat.
The 2020 presidential election has taken on an apocalyptic significance. American democracy is at risk of dying. In many ways, Trump himself has proven a bit of a softy, much more bluff than bluster, but his friends are completely vicious and he can’t stand up to them. He is the weakest president we have ever had in terms of foreign affairs.
At this year’s G20 Summit, the third one we’ve had the miserable honor of covering in the Trump era, he joked around with Vladimir Putin of Russia regarding their hacking of our election on his behalf. Putin looked absolutely proud of him, loving almost, as if he were gazing on the form of a beloved pet. “Look at him! Isn’t he a good dog? Look at all the tricks he can perform, right on command!”
Sigh. Trump may indeed be weak, but he has got some very rough customers for friends. We have the resources to fight back.  But we are in danger of losing them. We will lose them for a certainty if we don’t stand together.
The Democratic playing field for next year’s critical 2020 election is really up against it, in many ways, with so many different contenders. A little bit of chaos is unavoidable. So are we, the Democratic base, who will sooner or later be the members of one of their campaigns. We can’t waste any time, so now that the smoke has cleared a little and the debates have shown us who the players will be, we’ve chosen who we’re calling the Big Five. That means- and in no particular order, we are printing the names in the order shown by the most recent polls- Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar. Beto O’ Rourke gets an honorable mention.
Here at Millennial Democrats, the choice appears extremely clear and obvious, as obvious as the big blue link above.
We’re going to stand behind them ALL. With everything we’ve got.
Democrats, we have to be ready to support the whole Big Five with equal fervor. We all have to be really careful here because if we mishandle the position in next year’s presidential election, in the four years to come after we will get wiped right off the board. We have nothing except each other, and that has always been enough, especially since we all have had the morbid pleasure of running into Trump and Bernie trolls and Russians and bots. Any of these people would be good at the job and a giant-worlds-away leap better than Trump or the Bern, Russian cutouts that we consider them to be. We’ve been saying this all along. All we have to do is keep walking in a straight line. Forward Together.
We have to embrace and get to know every one of these people, who are good people and worthy ones to the woman and man. We’re going to have our picks, that’s only natural, and that is fine. Just don’t get ugly about it and descend into bitterness and acrimony. Democratic solidarity is the final weapon we have.
Remember when we succeeded in pressuring Trump into reopening the government after the #TrumpShutdown? What a great day that was. Roger Stone got arrested, and as one organism we rejoiced. “Why are they (Democrats) always so loyal?” he bemoaned afterward, tail between legs and licking wounds. We pulled that off because we stuck together.
We have got to preserve that solidarity if we want to continue on our path to victory- and salvation.
The Democratic Party is our only hope. We are carrying the torch for the light of freedom everywhere. It will fall in a day if we give up. We have to remind ourselves of that as many times as it takes. We have got to follow this thing through to the end. In regards to the 2020 election, that means we’ve got to take the part of every one of our Big Five, these familiar dear good leaders who we all have known for years.  They are all worthy and capable enough to run the country. We’ll take any of them because we’re tired of the horrible Trump era! We’ve got little kids in dog cages on our Southern Border, and there’s no one who can save them except us. This is a crisis of more than material resources. This is about the country’s soul.
It’s time for some real talk, and I hope everyone hears me. This is only partially about us. Even us millennials- who, I’d like to remind everyone, is no longer the youngest generation of voters- are going to be gone in a few decades and all that will remain of any of us will be the work that we did for the cause.
We are going to be judged by the quality of that work. Future generations will either revere or revile us. In the end, there is no fate but what we make.
Speaking as a private citizen, love for the cause is why I do this. The sheer importance of it is too big to contain with words; I’ll just say it is why I will be here to the end. The cause, per se, is to advocate for the future wellness of the world and human race, including every one of us ourselves. Those are all that matters, and we’re the only ones fighting for them. Once again. We cannot drop the torch.
The cause right now means getting rid of Donald Trump, and that goal alone is where our loyalties lie, not merely in the persons of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar. They have shown up as our leaders, and we are grateful for all of them, but at the end of the day, it’s the good old code of American decency that governs us. We will support those who champion our values, and loyalty ranks high among them, so please do be forewarned. We will fight as hard as we can against those who refuse not to get aggressive.
Democrats who attack other Democrats have already ceased to value anything. They are no longer worthy of the name. Look at the socialists, who voted in a bloc last week to deny these children of immigrants, so similar to themselves, the right to have toothpaste or wash their tiny bodies using soap. That’s what it looks like to be disloyal. Disgusting. If you’re not going to leave off with a grudge for the sake of getting children out of cages kept in camps, you don’t value anything. We cannot fight each other and still win. Bernie Sanders and his lunatic cult taught us that.
If for your own reasons you really cannot stand one or all of these candidates, but you still are a good Democrat who perceives how unbelievably critical it is to bring the curtains crashing down on the Trump era next year, if you really want to support just your pick, I get it. No worries.
Just please don’t go on the attack. It’s exactly like our mothers used to tell us, cliche or not. If you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.
The Big Five will remain so until well into the primaries next year, and during the interim, we need to have good things to say for every one of them, even if we’re currently competing. You don’t hate your opponent in chess. You shake hands both before and after the game because your opposition is momentary. You will be united all your life by your mutual love of the craft. We all share the same values, and we all serve the same cause. So in the name of that cause we hold sacred in our hearts, we must now commit to forging ourselves into one.
Every Democrat must stand firm with every other Democrat, and more now than ever before, for the moment of greatest peril is upon us. The reason why is as simple as it is profound.
In order to survive, we have to.

We are living in a political landscape that is currently dissolving, and as it does every day presents new questions, fundamental and human in their nature, some completely new. As they do, we need to separate, observe, and classify them. Dissolution in chemistry means the breaking down of complex compounds into their basic particles. Scientists use this technique as a way to collect feedback and data based on the contents of the issue, and that’s exactly what we have got to do. All of us, not just this or that candidate’s supporters. We have to sort out what kind of a position we are dealing with before we can chart a good strategy, and that is going to take us all.

This is why we need philosophy, as an aside, Republicans like Tomi Lahren who keep cursing it like animals on Twitter, but then again, you already know that. That’s why you’re attacking these programs now at colleges. A University System in Wisconsin recently in the town of Stevens Point became first in the country to eliminate history from the roster of viable degrees. That is a disastrous indicator for the future of our species.
Wisconsin was settled by Germans, a people that produced the philosopher Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Hegel, who said history was of the highest importance to a people of high civilization. Like Ronald Reagan, that great man is rolling in his grave to see what his ancestors are up to. He’s at the Headbanger’s Ball down there, and all because you Republicans are inflexible morons. We can count on you for nothing, and we know it.
Republicans of the John McCain mold have gone the way of the dinosaurs; most of those who had honor in 2016 are now Democrats. They have joined our ranks and we thank heaven for them, but for all those to be counted in their number, it seems like Trump has co-opted three more. Again with the hydra analogy. Hercules, at least, ought to be pleased.
It’s on us alone, Democrats. If we forget the past again, we have lost. We cannot drop the torch. We’ll just keep saying that, over and over. We cannot give up, and we cannot drop that torch. Not if the Red Sea should close around us. We have to hold the line no matter what. We’ve got to learn to be that rock in the river. Society itself may have to use us for mooring by the end. We must be ready.
Ethical, strategical, psychological problems are already arising every single day, and they will multiply like flies as this goes forward. Some of these may be completely new, and very difficult. Sometimes we run into a problem which is all three, like a recent one about candidates and what we will or won’t post about them. These questions involve the heart and soul of the Democratic Party itself, and we have to guide it because that’s who we are. Like chess, there are levels of difficulty engaged in the solving of these puzzles, but no matter what they are we have to manage it somehow.
If we do not, we will never defeat Donald Trump.
To us, and us alone falls the unenviable task of holding the center through the biggest moral crisis this country has faced since the Civil War ended. The Trump era has been a continuous disaster, an insult and an assault on. If we don’t find a way to get rid of him next year- if we, in the center, at least- don’t learn the terrible lesson of 2016 and stand together now, we may never stand up again.
Trump will be lawless like never before, he will have nothing to lose, even now he is feuding with the New York attorney general, and why? Because he is facing charges there as soon as he leaves the White House. State charges, which no amount of federal power can deliver you from. That’s a good part of why they didn’t pardon Paul Manafort. We know for certain now that they discussed the possibility of giving him a pardon seriously.
Trump will have every reason to kiss the impediment of our current liberal government system goodbye. Being a third term president would for him be the safest option. He must know this better than anyone. He talks about it all the time.
The monopolist segment of the global elite has been setting us up for this. I truly believe that. They’ve been linking up behind the scenes in increasingly ominous ways; just ask Jamal Khashoggi. From the right and left alike, they are coming for us. Every evidence points to this conclusion, like a giant red arrow of warning. This country hasn’t been a full democracy since 2017 according to the World Freedom Index. In fact, almost the whole world is yellow now, not green or blue. Trump constantly flirts with dictators, and Fox News jokes about his being one. Viktor Orban of Hungary, who was the first to use the new plan of discarding democracy gradually by democratic means, bit by bit, was just invited to speak here and did so this last spring.
What do you suppose he had to say? One doesn’t suppose it was a paraphrase from Braveheart. I doubt anyone said a word for freedom that day. This is not a game.
We know the far-right libertarians have hated the government that can regulate them all along, guys like the Koch Brothers and Vladimir Putin, the latter of which caused a stir just this week about how “liberalism” (meaning democracy) has “outlived its purpose”.
We can’t count on Europe saving us, either, they’re in a death-struggle with the New World Order section of the global elite themselves. Marine Le Pen has been leading Macron in the polls in France, in Germany Angela Merkel- the de facto leader and torchbearer of the free world since Hillary Clinton was robbed in 2016- cannot live forever. Britain is in crisis thanks to Brexit years later with compliments to their very own alt-right chefs.
The alt-right has cooked up a hefty pile for the final third of the states on Earth to still remain (mostly) democratic. Our allies overseas will be lucky to save themselves.
Democrats, we all but stand alone, even now, against a rising tide that threatens to engulf us all in earnest. We are the only ones left who have the power to resist and hold it back. Knowing this in our hearts, as we all do, will we stand as a nation undivided? Will we fight for liberty and justice for all? Or will we close our eyes and play make-believe like children, squabbling like rabble in the moments before our heads go under?
Dictatorships using tenets of both fascism and socialism have supplanted democracy everywhere. It’s us and a few embattled others overseas who are still carrying the torch for the light of truth and freedom.
We simply cannot drop that torch.
We cannot give up now. We have got to stay the course to the end or succumb to a dark and bitter fate. We will be powerless spectators as they do whatever awful things they want. We are going to lose absolutely everything. We tried to warn the Sanders cult of this in 2016 and they did not listen.
If we make that same mistake, we drop the torch.
If the Democratic Party descends into squabbling now, there is no way to prevent this unthinkable horror. Our solidarity is our only hope because superior numbers are the only resource that we have. If we descend into fractiousness and squabbling, we might as well throw that torch in the toilet.
We’ll be lost worse every day. We will not have anything to fight back with. A thug class like the ones the Nazis had will grow strong enough to suppress all of us, and they will do so under the aegis of legality. History has shown us before that the right will stop at nothing to maintain a position such as this once they have got it. There is no way to overstate the case as to how bad it could be.
We really need to think about the Holocaust.
Our numbers are stretched already, thin and sparse, like a Russian grocery store. Every time one of us throws their hands up in frustration and surrenders, the problem gets worse, as do our chances of coming out of this with a country we can all be proud to live in. Make no mistake, either. If democracy falls here, it will fall elsewhere, and within a span of time that is likely to shock us, all that we hold sacred will be gone. It will melt into the night, like the state of East Germany.
Remember when we pressured Trump into reopening the government after the #TrumpShutdown? That was necessary big time and only made possible by those who remained true blue. All of us suffered great stress and anxiety, and many suffered worse. For the sake of an angry whim, and for the longest period in American history we lost five billion dollars.
Coincidentally, five billion was the exact sum we wouldn’t give him to build his moronic wall with.
His pettiness knows no bounds, he’s got the most dangerous friends there are, and he talks like he’s in early-onset dementia. Who knows what he might do given four more years unrestrained? We’ll be giving him a free hand if we all go to war with one another.
Conversely, and objectively speaking, look at all we’ve accomplished in the last two and a half years when we’ve stuck together! Democratic dedication in the age of Trump has accomplished miracles. It’s no small list, especially considering the Republicans were left in control of all three branches of government for four-fifths of that time.
We hit them hard last year with a massive Blue Wave, retaking the House and staving off a net loss in the Senate, even though we had twenty-five mostly red state Senators up for election and they had only eight.
We managed to save the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare, with a little bit of help from John McCain. We shook the very earth with our efforts to keep Brett Kavanaugh, alleged molester of women, out of the Supreme Court when Kennedy resigned under corrupt-seeming and payoff-looking circumstances. Had Republican and woman Susan Collins stood with us, we could have kept him out. But she didn’t.
As always, we stood with ourselves alone, arrayed in ragged armor for the battle of speaking truth to power.
We raised awareness about former Alabaman judge Roy Moore‘s awful past as an alleged serial rapist, and kept him out of the Senate, and replaced him with worthy Democrat Doug Jones, the first time any Democrat had held a seat there in several decades- although that raises yet another example. Time passes fast, and Moore is running again and doing just as well as he did before- just like Marine Le Pen, rising in the polls against Macron in France.
We’ll have to hold the line again on all this stuff very soon.
We can’t do that if we don’t observe one critically fundamental rule- Democrats do not attack Democrats. If the partisan fighting over who’s going to be the one in 2020 is allowed to keep intensifying, far too many of us will lose sight of that. We can’t afford it. We have to put out these fires wherever we see them if we want to save the forest.
As an aside, and for the sake of clarification, now seems a good time to remind ourselves that Bernie Sanders has not ever for a minute of his life been a Democrat, which utterly excludes him from this statement. We consider him an adjunct of Putin and Trump; see the link above if you need to know why. Tulsi Gabbard’s a deal-breaker too, for reasons of foreign corruption and cult membership, but we’ll have to cover that another time. Anyone else we will fight for as hard as we can.
It is along these lines that our new strategy was conceived. From this day forward, our mission is simple. To stamp out the fires of bitter faction wherever it rears its ugly head, and not by yelling and blustering, but with reason and kindness and understanding. The sword of truth is forged in debate and whetted by discourse, and dissent is the highest form of patriotism, which means we need to be having these discussions.
They will help us improve the final quality of our platform, a full half of how we’re going win the people back from the ogre Trump. But they’ve got to be debates and not Royal Rumbles. Unlike Fox News, our goal is not to compete with other cable stations, but to find new ways to do good for the people of the world. That always has been and always will be the sole purpose of this organization. It’s right out there on our Home page. Check it out.
If any of you Democrats, our readers out there, should happen to disagree, I encourage and even implore you to write in so that we can begin to talk it out. If you feel like there is something so critical that it’s worth breaking our fellowship over, then hadn’t we better talk it through? In order to begin to find some kind of solution, I need to hear what you guys think the crux of the problem is, and what you think we ought to do about it.
We have to find common ground before it is too late.
We need each other desperately, and that means we need to inspire and uplift each other, regardless of what candidate you’d like to see win the chance to compete in the biggest election in the primary. These candidates and us, their supporters, have got to keep their eye on that 2020 ball to the point where we become an indivisible mass again.
Again, remember the Blue Wave, less than a year ago, when all of us were united and resolved on standing behind whoever won? It was the only light there has been since this thing started, and together we preserved it. Alone we are nothing, but together, we are invincible, and we need to be.
Who else but we Democrats are so determined to carry the torch for health and truth, in the face of these looming new Dark Ages? Who else will lift a hand in staving off the fall of our world order? The others are taking sledgehammers to it, and Russia’s laughing all the way to the Iron Throne.
The Pentagon just came out with a report that Putin’s plan for world “dominance” involves taking down the United States; just as in the Roman Empire’s final days, the barbarian hordes come from the North. It’s just like then, and there can be no doubt. Night would fall on the world in a day without us.
We would all of us be going into the dark. Together at last.
I’ve been thinking a lot about St. Augustine, the bishop of North Africa’s final Christian community, the Roman town of Hippo. He gave his life in defense of his city, an impossible task that he attempted anyway. His sacrifice has echoed through all generations to come.
Imagine how it must have been in those blasphemous horrid days. The year 400 A.D., Rome falling, disarray descending like an endless blanket of the chaotic, starless night everywhere that any eye can see. In the midst of it all, besieged and cut off on all sides, the small town of Hippo held the last torch that burned on the planet for truth in the hands of St. Augustine, the town bishop, no trained warrior at all. Determination and powerful faith gave his great heart an unshakeable resolution.
In the name of the same cause we all are fighting for, knowing there is no future but what we make, he determined to resist the coming hordes to his last breath, which he did.
Hippo stood before it fell, but fall it did, and in the final fracas Bishop Augustine was killed, murdered in the gutter by that era’s Bernie Bots and MAGA ravishers. But in the end, his victory reigned supreme. He was immortalized by his courage and was christened a saint. His example will stand as an inspiration to the final generations of mankind, and those who stood by him will be remembered and honored for their courage. When the stuff came down they held the line.
For the people of Hippo, the fight was unwinnable from the start, and after the city fell the final torch went out. It was not to be relit in Europe until the eleventh century, and the Dark Ages in between endured for three times the current lifespan of America. But it burned so brightly before the end that God himself must have seen it, and been proud. The story endures as a different kind of fire.
Augustine is a personal hero of mine and I refuse to shame his memory. I will carry that same torch through any storm I have to because that is what is needed. Our situation is far from as dire as unfortunate Hippo’s. At this time we can still win, and we must.
Refusing to give in to vicious cults, made up of sick members of global elites, is engraved in Democratic DNA by this point. We have guarded our gate now for a hundred years, fighting daily for progress and the people. The most vigorous political action has been needed to sustain us on our journey. It will always be needed. An active, informed citizenry must be present if freedom is to survive.
I remember how crushed I was the night of the election when it was read out to all of that HRC had officially been robbed. Distraught and furious, I felt like a wounded animal and lashing out in anger was all I wanted to do But my mentors rescued me from my own worst tendencies. They so fiercely demonstrated to me, in the beginning, their willingness to grimly fight on that my fury had been soon replaced by hope.
They taught me what it means to be a Democrat. Decency, loyalty, and love. Not cruelty and viciousness. Those are the arts of the enemy.
Where I had been floundering in despair, they had been keeping cool, waiting with the patience of hunters for their moment to strike back. Plan B was formed in an instant, and soon I realized there were about sixty-five billion more plans after that, to be rock-souped on a dime when the situation called for it, cooked up by all the Pattons I’d been given as my teachers. They took a lot of time with me.
What heroes. You folks know who you are.
I’m the young guy who’s always hung out with all the older guys (kind of weird, to see myself becoming the older guy myself! Time to grow up!) so baby boomers have always been among my best friends. They come kick it with people of all ages. We all get on well for the most part and we get a lot of work done, together. They’re all old tigers, like General Alfred Joffre of France, who spared his country a defeat in WWI with his cool head and his counterattack. The Miracle of the Marne was brought about by men who are in the same position as us people of every gender.
I thank God for the dear good baby boomer generation, our parents who saved us from the draft, and who showed me the way to the only truth I know: No good Democrat could ever quit at a critical juncture such as this. When we’re needed to answer the call to such a dramatic extent, we show up, just like our parents did before us. They made the Greatest Generation proud. Now it’s our turn to do the same for them.
So long as the United States are united, surrender is out for Democrats- and make no mistake, having no discipline and attacking each other like beasts are the same as surrender or worse. Our souls recoil from the very idea, abomination as it is. We are not going to give over to the same darkness that brought us sadly here.
The 2020 Democratic candidates must become one.
I am counting on you all out there to help me help our leadership to Make America Sane Again.  Resisting internecine rivalry is no longer an option, but a survival-based imperative. We have got to start talking to each other, especially those who have already decided on a 2020 pick.
Again, our Big Five at this time are Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar. We have good things to say about every last one. We have got to get together and form a plan, and that means starting a discourse. Please feel free to invite us as mediators. We love all of you. God, I could not mean that more. This is our country and we are all countrymen (forgive the gender reference; countrypersons doesn’t quite have the same ring.)
A discourse works best when there are people involved who are deeply committed to the results. The requirements of the position mean we all have to be both passionate and flexible in regards to their own position. We need every single one of you, and losing you is a tragedy every time. So please, Democrats. Hold the course. We know what the risks in losing are but look at our reward for winning too. Democracy itself might survive because of our efforts. Our torch will keep on burning through this whole mess, because of you personally.
Stand behind all Democrats. If you do exactly this, we’re sure to win. But if they manage to divide us, they will conquer. We’re not about to let that happen.
For country, Party, God by all his great Names and St. Augustine, I am going to be there, and when I go I am going to kick the hell out of the wicked insane opposition and have some fun while doing it. You’ll be with me, and I’ll be with you, and we’ll be two fish of many in an ocean of deep blue.
I believe in my heart that at the finish line, almost all of you will be there with me. We are going to help each other stay calm and to keep all of our heads clear, and together we will hammer out the best way to go with this. In the end, we will have the best available. Trust due process.
During the interim, let’s stick close and tight with everyone. Get in touch with anyone you know who are participating directly in the campaigns of the Big Five. No Bern, who has always been Russian infested, no Gillibrand who stabbed Al Franken in the back, and no Tulsi Gabbard because she’s Tulsi Gabbard. The others are likely to remain obscure. It’s time to start thinning out the herd.
Today’s political reality says to me that it’s time to get behind them all. We need to tell them that they have to become a team. In a perfect world, there would be weekly strategy meetings held with strategists every day until the last day, because all involved would realize that this is only partly about them.
It’s about the cause. What were we saying again, about a torch and maybe not dropping it? That’s likely to be a good decision.
The decision as to who to support in the home stretch would be the same as our own model, to be made by consensus based on pragmatism and data, and all candidates involved would be deeply committed to keeping this match above the belt. They would be doing everything they could to help their supporters realize that any and all of them would be really good. Every single one is worth fighting for, with a full heart and spirit, and helping everyone to keep that goal foremost in mind is what we’re on.
For our part, we’re going to pledge right here and now to fight for all of them, with equal fervor in our hearts. If you will all pledge with us, next year’s victory will be assured, and we can begin the long labor of cleaning up the mess made by the radicals. Going forward, Democrats, please help us spread the word. We want to see a #BlueTeam2020, made up of these five Democrats and everyone else who realizes how needed they are. We are ALL going to take down Donald Trump.

Stay the Course, #StandWithOurSpeaker- On Impeachment and Other Issues.

#StandWithOurSpeaker!

The long-awaited Office of the Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III‘s thorough and explosive Report on the Russian interference into our 2016 presidential election, and the obstruction of justice issues that arose during the subsequent investigations has raised like never before the question of whether or not to impeach Donald Trump for what clearly are extremely serious offenses against our democracy.

It should be understood going in that all of us will be going into the dark together, in what may well prove to be the most consequential decision of our lifetimes. In deciding the question of the fate of our current illegitimate, babyish president Trump, the Mussolini of our times, any discussion of the topic must begin and end with that.

There will be trouble in every last street and bar and coffee shop in the nation; brother will turn on brother. There will be a rage on both sides like nothing we have seen since the Civil War, exceeding by far what we saw in the 70s with Richard Nixon and Watergate. There will be more than one event like Charlottesville, where our sister the martyr Heather Heyer was run down by a cursed soul and dragged to her death behind his van. We’re pleased to report he’s now rotting in prison. But that too is one more link in the chain.

Elsewhere down South, where many people like the men below would rather be Russians than Democrats, internationally known televangelist Franklin Graham is literally telling his followers to prepare for civil war if impeachment proceedings against Trump go through. People listen to that guy down there. If they start giving orders to open fire, it is our opinion that they will do so. Without a doubt.

Red, sad, and confused Americans.
Red, sad, and confused Americans.

Anecdotally, we had one sick man named Rene Hollan visit our Facebook Page and say,

“Understand this Democrats. If Trump gives the order I will kill as many of you as I can.”

We gave that to the FBI the following morning.

There were hopes, in the beginning, that the likes of John McCain and Susan Collins and once strident Trump critic Lindsey Graham would eventually realize just how crooked he is when the Mueller Report finally came out and proved he’d benefited willingly from Putin’s help. But neither the voluminous document itself nor the subsequent comments of Robert Mueller that essentially proved Trump a criminal has proved to be the game-changer we had hoped for. This is not the Republican Congress of the 1970s that acted with honor during Watergate.

Insofar as Trump’s sleazy role in it all is concerned, it seems that a lifetime’s worth of doing deals with a wink and a nod allowed him to maintain plausible deniability- barely. On the question of obstruction, the case is far more straightforward, everything from trying to fire the Special Counsel Mueller to trying to get former White House counsel Don McGahn to change his story on a number of particularly ham-handed attempts at co-opting a good civil servant. The web of lies, untruths, and viciousness Donald Trump has spun around himself is like a leper’s shroud, hard to see through.

The common strand of corruption is the only thing obvious and unquestionable.

We all live in the madhouse as a result of trying to come to terms with it all, but at least about one thing, there can be no doubt at all. The man is deeply corrupt, we say again, and he’s been a real disaster for America.

But that is not quite the question we face.

Trump is an unworthy leader in every possible way, yes. He cheated and bullied his way into the White House. But although it was a blatant theft, the unpleasant fact remains. In the end, he did win the election, and his tenure in office is already a fait accompli. Nobody’s talking about the 25th Amendment and removing him due to insanity, more’s the pity. Given that, and from what we know for sure as of this minute, can we really say we’re certain he should be impeached? In lieu of all the chaos and the cost?

All this is to say nothing of the fact that any measure of impeachment we do try would at this time merely be symbolic. It will never, ever, ever pass a Republican-controlled Senate. Impeachment may well be getting considered by our strategists as a nuclear option of sorts, a last-ditch attempt to prevent him from running wild completely between next year and 2024 if the great tragedy strikes a second time. With a Democratic Congress, we could remove him if we had to. But unless we are patient now, that will never happen.

We’ve got to think strategically here, with our heads as well as our guts. Trump wants us to try and impeach him, because he knows it is the one thing we could do to turn him into a pitied figure, one the public might actually view sympathetically. The stakes of this are too high for premature attacks made for the sake of showy idealism.

It may well be that national honor will force our hand in the end, but we ourselves do not have all the facts yet. A vast amount of research and contemplation must go into formulating a workable strategy here, for all of us Americans are now dancing on the razor’s edge together. There’s no need to bother asking me what I’d like to see happen to Trump for all of this as a private citizen; just look around. But in terms of the law, things are somewhat different.

Fortunately, we’ve got the best legal minds in the vast United States of America working on it around the clock as we speak, and under the most competent leader we could ever want: Nancy Pelosi, whose talent for organizing her caucus and keeping track of time is unparalleled, and gave us Obamacare among many other a legislative score.

Having Nancy Pelosi back in the Speaker’s chair was the single most immediately crucial factor in the Blue Wave of 2018.

She got more important bills passed in her first six months in office back in 2008 than the Trump administration has in nearly three years. In short, she’s good. Really good. And that is good for us. Because whoever has to take this on had better be the best. To impeach or not impeach is largely her decision.

In April 1970, while in session, Congressman Gerald Ford raised an old rhetorical question: “What is an impeachable offense?” Ford at this time was the House Minority Leader (Pelosi’s job pre-Blue Wave 2016-2018), and his answer to the question was stark and illustrative.

An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.

That majority in today’s House of Representatives belongs to the Democratic Party. We definitely do have the right to start these proceedings.

That is why we are being so careful!

Impeachment is an utterly drastic step, a divisive and frankly tragic one, regardless of the outcome. They do not make the country look good, to say the ludicrous least. Lurid Ken Starr the pornographer wiped slime on the courts that will never come off when he painted his lurid fantasy tales about the sexual exploits of Bill Clinton, the second president to be tried for impeachment in the Senate. The Republicans were annihilated in the next Congressional elections- just as we Democrats were after Nixon.

The reason why? Both Clinton and Nixon were very popular among their respective camps, who judged themselves abused, whether or not this was the case. Retributive backlash in the form of division and strife swept the country twice and left rankling wounds in the hearts of members of both parties. It set the stage for a third one to be totally apocalyptic.

In closing, we must keep in mind going forward that impeachment is nothing to speak of lightly. It rips countries apart. It may well prove necessary to give it a try in the end- but not without first considering every option with meticulous care.

While it is not easy to be patient about this-for surely, We the People have never before had such a surreally egregious cause- it is vastly important to understand how high the stakes are and how dangerous the strategy would be. It’s an incredibly tough call given the circumstances, which is why we at Millennial Democrats haven’t weighed in on it hard either way. It is our opinion that Hillary Clinton’s recent suggestions involving televised hearings and utmost caution provide an excellent roadmap for the future.

This observation leads us to the primary thesis of the article. We have got to stand behind our Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, who is one of the smartest and toughest people in America today.

We have always held Pelosi to be strongest by far for this position of high power in Congress. Back last fall, everyone mostly did, and nothing has changed. Even the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was back then the sworn enemy of every moderate everywhere, ultimately decided not to oppose her on practical grounds. If you want to get anything done at all, you’ve got to have good leadership. We have the best, and most of us have known this all along. She is our Speaker of the House, and make no mistake.

This decision is all but hers alone.

In closing, Nancy Pelosi has been our choice to be our leader from the Trump era’s Day One. She is by far the person in the best position to make the call, and whatever way it goes, it is our firm opinion that she’ll have made it. We need to support her fully in any case and circumstance.

The one thing we cannot afford right now is for our coalition to dissolve into more fractious squabbling. The world needs our power now more than ever, and to bring it to bear, we must centralize and fully focus it. There is only one person in all of these vast United States of ours who can do it as God knows it must be done, and that person is Nancy Pelosi.

Whichever way this goes, #Stand WithOurSpeaker.

CBD Hemp Oil Relief for Pain, Stress, Anxiety – 1000mg

A few words about cannabidiol. Often referred to in shorthand by its initials, CBD is the second most common of the 400+ cannabinoid molecules produced by the Cannabis plant. Second only to THC in abundance, these plant-derived cannabinoids, or phytocannabinoids (phyto being the Greek word for plant), are characterized by their ability to act on the cannabinoid receptors that are part of our endocannabinoid system.

That’s the scientific way of saying it works.

While THC is the principal psychoactive component of Cannabis and has certain medical uses, CBD stands out because it is both non-psychoactive and displays a broad range of potential medical applications. These properties make it especially attractive as a therapeutic agent.

Many users choose cannabis to manage their long-term health or pain issues, while others supplement daily with healthy CBD to maintain and promote their general well-being, mood and stress levels.

It is non-habit-forming and can be taken daily. It has no psychoactive properties, and will not impair users in any way.

The positive effects of CBD will be studied by scientists for as long as there are scientists, but the word is already good. A connection has been made suggesting CBD boosts the function of our cannabinoid receptors, to produce soothing, relaxing effects but nothing psychoactive that one could consider getting “high.”

In many countries, CBD is already classified as a medication due to its proven effectiveness. It is still currently available in the United States without a prescription, though, and can be acquired right here through the Millennial Democrats affiliate link to the TeraHemp.com website. One Big Happy Family! Why AOC and Bernie Are Donald Trump’s Best Friends.

One Big Happy Family!
Hello, world, from Millennial Democrats! We hope it finds you well.
Earlier today, a debate was held between a few of our members, which led to a consensus decision. Some asked if I would clarify the organization’s reasons for refusing to support Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as there are certainly many people on the left who, to put it mildly, do not agree with that decision.
First off, it’s important to point out how critical it is that Democrats be able to agree to disagree. We are not socialists, this is not groupthink. Dissent is welcome, even encouraged. Our position is that AOC is part of a faction, a movement, and a base of people who have been a disaster for the Democratic Party, and we fully invite opposition dialogue on the subject. Come armed with facts and not slanders, and we will debate you any time at any place.
Just make sure you know how to be a good loser.
AOC is the latest chapter in an ongoing saga, where the right has done all it can to empower and incite the socialists because they know it will make things harder for us. They want Ocasio-Cortez to be the face of our Party more than anything. She and Bernie are helping them to make of us a Goldstein, in the 1984 scenario. In order to keep the White House next year, Trump has to present an enemy to the public even worse than him, and the spectre of socialism as exhibited by the Justice Democrats and the Democratic Socialists of America gives him exactly that.
Ocasio-Cortez plays into this at every turn.
Take the Green New Deal, for example. She proudly tweeted that she and her friends threw it together over the course of a weekend, as though that were a good thing. It’s an unrealistic dreamer’s errand and a wish list, and the price tag on it has all the conservatives licking their chops.
There are those who accuse us of hostility to AOC based on her taking out of Joe Crowley, who undoubtedly was one of our best guys, and who genuinely will be missed. This is not the case, however; we are Democrats, and we support democracy. We bid our condolences and farewells to Joe and moved on. At this time, Millennial Democrats wrote Ocasio-Cortez an article of welcome and sincere congratulation, asking her to reconsider her stance on some things and drop the socialist aspect of her philosophy.
As for the environmental changes proposed as part of the Green New Deal, we fully support those aspects of the bill. Nancy Pelosi made that clear when amending the bill. Her version is the one that mainstream Democrats like Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar have gone on to indicate some support for, not AOC’s.
Former Vice-President Al Gore won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on climate change science. Our side has been fighting for this since long before AOC, or any other Millennial Democrat was even born. Our opposition to the bill has less than nothing to do with that, although most of us rightly are grateful to and venerate our elders in the baby boomer generation.
We’re not for doing things sloppy. There are very serious legislative flaws in that plan. It was not well crafted, and the crafters were completely ill-prepared. They got in trouble right away because of that FAQ that went around last week, talking about the people “unwilling to work”, et cetera.
At any rate, the problems are much more foundationally serious than an unvetted fact sheet. Expert Mike Pesca weighed in, pointing out very few environmental experts consider the targets laid out in the plan to be attainable in any way. Climate change experts have called for zeroing out emissions in the power sector by 2050, while the Green New Deal proposes doing so by 2030.
On what basis does it maintain the time frame can be accelerated by two-thirds? It does not say.
What Ocasio-Cortez and her friends have actually done is to confuse the issue further, make the true adherents of climate change look bad, and make it harder for the professionals responsible to get the actual progress made, which is the problem with her entire organization, modeled after Bernie Sanders from the start. AOC sadly didn’t just used to work for JD and DSA, she is very much a part of them now, and is in fact their greatest asset.
Because of that fact, she is also the greatest Republican asset, which is one more eerie way in which the interests of the far left and alt-right coincide. Their attacks on her are likely part of their usual cunning political strategy; they know booing her is an easy way to make the left embrace her, which in chess terminology is like eating a poisoned pawn, because of what an insanely atrocious idea signing on behind the original Green New Deal would be.
Why else would Mitch McConnell allow a vote on something he knows will never pass, like the Green New Deal, except to be able to tar and feather anyone who goes for it as a socialist wingnut who gets up at three in the afternoon?

In Ocasio-Cortez, in the few very loud members of our generation that have been hoodwinked into supporting this truly evil and invasive form of government, the Republicans now have a walking personification of all they have been fighting with their money to create: a just accusation that Democrats are socialists, and that to support us is to personally become the vector of socialism.  It’s George McGovern all over again.

Meanwhile, the Venezuelan situation provides a vivid example of how big disaster socialism can be. At the end of the SOTU speech, Trump did what he’s going to be doing a lot- pointing to Bernie Sanders in silence, looking horrified, waiting for the people to become so disgusted they can’t take it and vote against their interests. Policy be damned, they will say. Look at that blue clown suit. I would rather burn than have that guy as my president.

The claim that we Democrats are going to turn America into a Venezuelan socialist hellscape looks like something new, but as every reader of this blog will be aware, they’ve been laying the groundwork for it for the last several years. Contrary to Trump’s new narrative, the Democratic Party has never embraced Bernie Sanders. We do share some policies, but he goes too far with them and makes them look ridiculous. Now he’s got AOC there with him, screaming for seventy percent income tax rates on the rich and protesting Nancy Pelosi over climate change.

Wonderful.

We had hoped to like AOC. We wrote good things about her in the beginning, even though she entered all our lives by doing something no Republican could have done in getting rid of Joe Crowley, a twenty-year veteran whose help was sorely needed. We sucked it up and congratulated her, and wished her the best in working with us to create a better future for America.
Since then, however, things have declined sorely and rapidly.
Why did she go protest Nancy Pelosi about climate change, when a bill was already on the table? Why not go protest the Republicans? Who knows, but it’s certainly convenient for them that she didn’t.
Then during the #TrumpShutdown, she also lied about her reasons for going so far as to vote with the Republicans for keeping our government closed, citing “funding for ICE” as the reason why she’d made a “tough, nuanced call” on the issue, even though ICE funding is covered by the Department of Homeland Security, and DHS funding wasn’t even discussed in the bill.
Her reasons for stabbing her own in the back remain totally obscure- and unfortunate.
The future strategy on the part of the Democratic Socialists of America and the Justice Democrats will be to use the popularity of AOC as a springboard of sorts, a mobile platform from which to position themselves to bump off even more good Democrats and spread their insurgency- and the unrealistic platform it brings along with it, so toxic in the extreme to the long term survival of the party.
In short, the whole radical left wing of the party is acting kind of like a handicap does on a racehorce right now by constantly ripping it up, dragging it down, and dampening its enthusiasm, to the ultimate benefit of Donald Trump. Millennial Democrats has been designed and built toward the purpose of countering that strategy and bringing love and life back to the center of our Party. To closely paraphrase what famed Irish poet William Butler Yeats once wrote in his riveting poem The Second Coming, things fall apart, if the center cannot hold.
In closing on the AOC topic, one of our contributors may have said it best of all earlier this evening- par for the course on that person’s batting record.
Believe me, Democrats, we’ve got the best people on the job!
“For me, it is the fact she has voted with the Republican Party against the Democratic Party, and I like Democratic legislators that vote with us and not against us.”
Why is this asking so much out of someone whom we supposedly share an agenda with?
Perhaps it makes the most sense from the standpoint of what Vladimir Lenin once said- “The best way to control the opposition, is to lead it ourselves.” Everything Ocasio-Cortez does makes perfect sense from the standpoint that she’s doing what revolutionary socialism calls for- cooperating with any group around, no matter how terrible their ideology, in order to topple a regime that both sides have found restrictive.
At any rate, this is our position, and I have given it my best. I hope I have argued for it well. Either way, it is not necessary that we all agree on everything; in a big-tent organization such as the Democratic Party, it’s pretty unlikely anyway. All we do ask is that when that is the case, we express our dissenter’s opinion with respect instead of vitriol and that we agree to disagree for the good of the country and the cause. If that’s good enough for you neo-progressives, it’s good enough for us Millennial Democrats. Have a good night, and thank you for taking the time to hear us out!
The falcon can still hear the falconer, at least for tonight.

Trump’s SOTU Cheered as Venezuelan Socialism Falls- How Right Wing Gets Mileage From Far Left.

Trump's SOTU Cheered for Anti-Socialist Theme he stole from us.

As the Venezuelan crisis worsens, and the country’s failing socialism system continues to demonstrate why the likes of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are foolish, we are seeing the illegitimate president Trump’s new strategy at work. Now the long game becomes clear. Using no less a mouthpiece than the 2019 State of the Union Address, Trump both charted his 2020 strategy and scored big points by taking the time to score a shot on socialism, vowing that America will never be a socialist country.

It’s a little late to stand on that now, Donald, but we don’t kid ourselves that will stop you from trying.

This is what we’ve been warning against all along. The fake left is just as anti-Democrat as the right; why? How is it that their interests always manage to coincide? What were they playing at? Why has Trump been so soft on socialism until now? Why not during the election, when America really needed to hear all of our leaders saying it?

Because then it would have been too early.

In the meantime, Tulsi Gabbard got involved as well, protesting Trump’s decision to condemn Maduro, which is about the one thing he has ever done right.

On both extremes of the political spectrum, everyone and everything they have is engaged in making the Democratic Party appear to be tilting left, at just the right moment for Trump.

“It seems to me that DJT has zero interest in expanding his coalition, and is going all-in on making the Democratic alternative unpalatable, hence the focus on opposing ‘socialism,’ ” the Republican strategist Michael Steel, a former senior adviser to the House G.O.P. leadership, told the New Yorker’s Susan B. Glasser in an e-mail the morning after the speech.

The entire Trump era, in many ways, feels like a return to the days of Richard Nixon. Parallels abound in terms of personnel, power, and politics. Perhaps above all else, a feeling that a growing extremity is pervading our country and reaching a dangerous level is strongly troubling American consciousness. It feels like chaos is everywhere. In such circumstances, history has shown that just about anything can happen.

One wonders if that isn’t the socialistic schemers’ whole point.

Cold War-era divisions have emerged along the same old lines as always. Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro is backed by Russia, China, and Cuba, which don’t want to lose an ally in the region. He has accepted billions in Russian and Chinese aid as his country’s economy  has exploded, and is now deeply indebted to some guys that are even worse than him. The Russian government has said it is considering installing an airbase in Venezuela, and there’s no doubt at all he’d let them do it. One wonders how Trump’s tough talk on Venezuela will jive with this desire of his boss. It’s one thing to stand up to a pack of screaming wingnuts, Donald. Try standing up to Putin for a change, why don’t you.

The Venezuelan situation, complete with right-wing exiles now involved in the political scene of Miami, brings us back to the good old days of international rancor over Latin American populist revolutions. One of the standard tropes of the Nixon era was the constant trouble over the Cuban Revolution, an event which saw its sixty-year anniversary pass by last month.

In that troubled time, revolutionary leader Fidel Castro managed with the help of the famous Che Guevara to overthrow the unpopular strongman Fulgencio Batista. Having done it, he went on to construct what he promised would be a more egalitarian Cuban regime. Soon after, he made sure to announce formally what U.S. military leaders and top officials had long known anyway- that this regime would be a communist one.

In a televised address not long after, Castro declared, “I am a Marxist-Leninist and shall be one until the end of my life.” He went on to state that, “Marxism or scientific socialism has become the revolutionary movement of the working class.”

The American right was empowered by that enough to justify decades worth of grotesque savagery. Shadows of doubt will always loom over the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

It’s important to note what Castro said there about socialism, “scientific” or otherwise. True communism, as envisioned conceptually by Karl Marx, is very different from the centralized socialism that grew into fruition in places like Cuba and the Soviet Union. The idea was to give over national resources to the working class, to be administered in some unknown way, at which point these completely unprepared and unsuspecting people are sent off to go to town creating a utopia (the Greek word for “nowhere”).

No one knows what that utopia might have looked like since it never happened.

What did happen was socialism, meaning that the State took ownership of absolutely everything and set about instantly setting itself up as the sole power in the land, choosing for everyone what they would have and not have, and creating a new type of elite based on party loyalty and bureaucratic efficiency. One tiny central hub, e.g. Moscow, controls every scrap of land and enjoys total autonomy within it. Every evidence shows this practice to have caused an unreal amount of human misery everywhere it has been tried; for example, China locked an entire ethnic population, the Uighurs, more than a million deep into labor camps last fall. This is not a dream.

Then as now, and in those countries as in Venezuela, the whole sloppy mess was a disaster. It starved five million people to death in the first five years of Vladimir Lenin’s reign when the Soviet Union was born. It was not well thought out, to try and apply a political theory off the pages of a book to actual human society. Socialism is something to be avoided completely and utterly, and Americans are aware of it. It is one thing we were taught in school that is all but inarguably true- not that this stops certain people from arguing it anyway.

All this history lessoning aside, we can all see what’s going on here. Trump is making a big show out of his sudden anti-socialism posture, but actually, it’s disingenuous in the extreme for him to do so. He has subscribed all along to the usual American far-right strategy, which is to consider liberals the true enemy, not communists or socialists.

This is why Trump sided with Bernie Sanders in 2016. Instead of saying at that time, Socialism is a disaster and we should all come together on this, he chose to court a bromance with the Bern and reviled us for “stealing” the election from the man Hillary Clinton beat by nearly four million votes. His base has oft-repeated this slanderous claim.

Trump waited until Nancy Pelosi gave him permission to give the 2019 SOTU before he would finally go after the fake left. We’ve been here cleaning house the whole time, and he wants to co-opt all the hard work we Democrats have done. He thinks it’s the right time to cash in. But long before the day this started, the right has done all it can to empower and incite the socialists because they know it will make things harder for us. They want Ocasio-Cortez to be the face of our Party more than anything.

Now they’ve got their Goldstein, in the 1984 scenario.

In reality, of course, Democrats are the ones on the front lines of the struggle against socialism. The reason for this is simple. American democracy is the only pillar in the world still holding up the idea of human freedom, and it’s under attack from every angle. The only people in the world who are here to protect it are us, Democrats. When the Proud Boys and Antifa come in masks, to brawl in the streets and smash windows out, we’re the ones who break it up and send them all home or to jail.

The far right uses the far left to manipulate the public all the time. That’s what agent provocateurs are for. That’s what the Nixon era taught us, and it’s why we need to be so careful now.

It’s important to realize that this could have deep implications for us. Florida is one of the most key of all the swing states, as anyone who remembers the 2000 presidential race was stolen from Al Gore can tell you. The political scale there is so evenly weighted that percentages involving tenths of a percent are often what decide its elections.

For Trump to gain support from the Venezuelan emigre community of Miami at this time would be extremely bad for our chances in 2020. He is hitting a lick off posturing as anti-socialist, but he did the opposite in 2016. Going forward, it will be incumbent upon us to raise awareness on this. Trump is a Johnny-come-lately at this game. He’s really just a poser.

In the last analysis, the thing to remember is this: Trump has not stood for democracy or its institutions at all. The World Economic Forum no longer considers America to be a full democracy, because of him. MAGA hats have become like armbands worn by Nazis, and Trump is the white power symbol successor of Hitler. It’s worth reminding the world that fascism came from socialism. It was the branch of it designed by Mussolini. The alt left and the far right is exactly the same entity.

“The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves,” said Vladimir Lenin a hundred years ago.

Here at Millennial Democrats, we refuse to accept a false equivalency. We equally reject the totalitarian nightmares that arise both from fascism and socialism, and from that posture, we call not only for the resignation of the disgraced dictator Nicholas Maduro.

We call with equal lungpower for the resignation of the disgraced dictator Donald Trump.

A Disgrace, Not A Democrat- Why Feeling the Bern in 2020 Is A Very Bad Idea.

A Democratic Disaster- Why Feeling the Bern in 2020 Is A Very Bad Idea.

Last Friday was a great day for America. The #TrumpShutdown ended with a pathetic cave on the part of our childish, illegitimate president, and Roger Stone went to jail for tampering with Russiagate witnesses, among other things. It was amazing. But it seems at times that nothing can escape the Trump era’s corrosive gloom, not even a single day. These glory-filled twenty-four hours did not come without at least one man doing his best to spoil it.

Predictably, that man was Bernie Sanders, who has paid off for Russia before.

Two sources with direct knowledge of his plans told Yahoo News on Friday that Sanders, an independent and self-described “democratic socialist,” plans to announce his presidential bid imminently.

This is the best possible news for Donald Trump. Bernie is not only a disaster for Democrats. He’s a disaster for our chances of getting rid of Trump, which means he’s a disaster for democracy. They’re drinking champagne in Moscow again.

Sometimes it feels like we’re all in a time warp, stuck forever in the Groundhog Day that was 2016, a struggle that will define all its participants for life. The one constant in that whole tremendous mess was the total disarray caused by two personality cults- the Trump campaign, and the Sanders campaign. United by hatred for Hillary Clinton, Russian entanglements, and a belief that sexism is a good thing, these people came together and made one of the most notorious messes in all of human history.

Bernie’s name did not appear on the ballot as a presidential candidate in even a single state during the 2016 general election. But his legacy of sore losing and acrimony bear a large share of the blame for the disaster of the Trump administration. The blame lies squarely on his shoulders, on the Bernie or Bust movement, and on the foreign support that kept the Bern’s campaign alive for far too long. Taken as a whole, the evidence is clear that Sanders was the Ralph Nader of 2016, peeling off just enough votes from the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, to hand the presidency over to yet another Republican who lost the popular vote.

Wittingly or unknowingly, he allowed himself to become Vladimir Putin’s other puppet. His campaign’s chief strategist, Tad Devine, was the first witness called at the trial of Paul Manafort- Trump’s campaign manager. They were two sides of the same coin, but that did not make them equals.

Trump would have picked his teeth with Bernie then, and he would now. He spent his whole life beating up on guys like that, and the Russians would certainly have sided in the end with Trump. It would have been such a massacre that the Republicans will not even admit it, they are praying so hard for him to win. They know they’re sure to keep the White House if this grouchy socialist is the only one opposing them, especially considering his own past living on the fence of being a creepy pervert. Read his old rape fantasy essays from college sometime, if you’ve got the blood pressure for it. Just don’t do it before lunch.

Trump could point with dead accuracy to the Access Hollywood “Grab ’em by the p***y” tape and say hey, man, you know I’m not perfect, I’ve shot off my mouth more than once with locker room talk (as he absurdly calls it). But I never wrote anything that sick!”

Imagine the moniker ‘Rape Fantasy Bernie’ up there alongside Little Marco and Lyin’ Ted in the annals of the Trump era’s history.

This will not matter to the loud and extremely vocal few who have given his supporters their bad name, however. The insane and unpleasant remnant of Bernie or Bust will not be long in dusting off the banners they rioted under in 2016, out there in the streets outside at Philadelphia’s Democratic National Convention, as Paul Simon began to play ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters’.

By now we have all seen the brick wall of a Bernie Bro up close and personal many times. When faced with hard facts and numbers, they will stonewall completely, sit back, and hurl slogans at you until you tire at last and have to ban them from your Facebook page. When confronted by a Bern-feeling devotee of this nature, nothing grounded in reality is going to enter the conversation.

We have seen this unfold like squares of toilet paper for three years. The vicious ugliness of Bernie Bros has become a cliche to the point where Bernie’s old campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, joined many other Sanders staffers in sending a letter of protest to his office, addressing the “Culture of Toxic Masculinity” that surrounded his campaign.” Shortly after it came out that his campaign had paid one molested staffer, forcibly kissed by one of her co-workers, $30,000 to keep her mouth shut about it. It’s enough to remind one of Stormy Daniels and Trump.

Bernie lost in 2016 in a race that was far from close. Although the Bros still blame the superdelegate system, the truth of the matter is that Hillary won by around four million votes. That’s a chunk of people the size of Chicago. She also won far more states and far more regular delegates. Superdelegates were never a factor in the race. Most people just did not feel the Bern, to paraphrase his horrible campaign slogan.

No one was buying in to a single-payer system that would have bankrupted the country to the tune of trillions of dollars, no one was buying in to the idea that a guy who has two renamed post offices to show for three decades in the Congress would one day wake up with the industriousness and creativity to be the President.

But that doesn’t stop us from being told constantly about how popular he is, even though the only demographic group of people he held Clinton to a draw among was white male voters. He also put his sexism on display using his mouth at every turn.

“It is not good enough for somebody to say, ‘I’m a woman, vote for me.’ That is not good enough,” Sanders told a crowd at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, according to WBUR.

How unbelievably patronizing. Hillary Clinton had a stronger resume for the job of being the President than any other person in the history of our fair nation, that’s why she deserved to win the race. It was not merely because she is a woman, although of course, that would have been historical. How ugly of Bernie, to say a thing like that. How unfair, and how ugly.

Women nationwide nearly rioted-with utter and total justification- when he accepted that awful Linda Sarsour’s invitation to be the keynote speaker at the Women’s Convention in 2017. Bernie backed out of that one as fast as his legs could carry him. However, even a rejection of enormity like that one hasn’t stopped his supporters from continuing to claim his amazing popularity with women. Actually, though, Bernie’s record on women’s rights is abysmal for a lot more than those rape essays he wrote.

Bernie says that Planned Parenthood is the establishment. He says women would prefer to stay home. He penned essays arguing that sexual repression causes cancer in women. The list is very long and very disheartening, at least to anyone who seriously plans of getting rid of Donald Trump.

He campaigned vigorously in 2017 for the campaign of Heath Mello of Nebraska, known for his strong anti-abortion stance, and justified it on the grounds of red-state pragmatism, which coming from a self-avowed socialist was absurd in the very extreme. In a nutshell, American women are about as likely to get behind Bernie as they are to go ice-skating in Hades.

We note in passing that we’ve just seen the end of 2018, which was the Year of the Democratic Woman. Good luck winning a Democratic primary without them.

Another notorious characteristic of the Sanders campaign was racism, and this too makes him unacceptable as our presidential candidate. His supporters ran wild with unrestrained ugliness in this regard.

This is what we're fighting.
This is who they are.

Medium.com’s Bianca Delarosa wrote a powerful piece the other day in response to the news regarding Bernie’s imminent announcement, titled simply, Black Democrats Have Plenty Of Reason to Be #NeverBernie. What his lunatic supporters have tried to do to Joy Reid over the years comes to mind. The whole uneasy history of Bernie Sanders and black America is laid out in a devastating array. Reading its entirety is something we highly recommend; it sheds a bright light on why Bernie is so wrong for the values of our party.

Bernie was once asked in a New Republic profile why he appears uncomfortable when talking about racial issues. His answer was revealing. “OK, see, this is an issue I’m not really — what I don’t want to do is get into me.” When told that it wasn’t about him per se, Sanders said, “It’s a complicated answer. It’s a good question, but I prefer not to get into it right now.”

This stems from something very basic, yet underestimated by his supporters- Bernie is not a Democrat. This is gigantic, and not for the same reasons cited by his supporters. They perceive our problem with this as being a misplaces loyalty issue, an undemocratic reversion to the days of Tammany Hall, but actually, that narrative is both fundamentally wrong and disingenuous. The real reason it matters is how much the Democratic Party has changed since then. Our base is multicultural. It’s not just white men who have their voices heard. That is highly troublesome to Bernie and has been for his whole career.

These days, after the Weaver protest letter and a number of other things, Bernie has switched his strategy. He has finally realized the necessity of courting the black vote, and so he headed down to South Carolina yesterday to make his case. He made speeches at churches and community centers and the like, belaboring those present to believe in him, citing his civil rights upbringing, meaning the five minutes he marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the March on Washington- as a college student. Last year, Bernie celebrated Martin Luther King Day by ripping to shreds Barack Obama, the first African-American president, but that’s another story.

“What he’s doing in South Carolina points to what his strategy is in terms of he has to make inroads in the core Democratic constituency,”  said J. Michael Bitzer, a professor of politics and history at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Bitzer has studied racial politics extensively and is widely considered an expert on the subject. When it comes to race, his view is that “you cannot divorce race from politics in the South.” This lets us know clearly what his real motives are for being down there in those churches.

According to exit polls in the state, Sanders won roughly 14 percent of black voters in South Carolina. Hillary got the other eighty-six.

Black voters are exactly like all other voters, insofar as they are not, as Delarosa pointed out, interested in being props and mascots. Who on Earth would be. They are all adults who voted smarter than any other demographic group in 2016. It really ought to go without saying they deserve to be considered as more than political coin.

Here at Millennial Democrats, we consider anything less than total integration and equality for every human person, regardless of sex or race or gender, to be completely, absolutely unacceptable. The leader we choose to put our faith behind, in the end, will have to demonstrate clearly that they thoroughly share this view.

Bernie Sanders has spent nearly thirty years proving the opposite. He will never have the support of the Party’s base, and that will make it impossible for him to beat Trump. Those committed to the Resistance must look elsewhere for a champion.

Scared Of A Beating- Why The Bern Isn’t Feeling Beto.

We'll take Beto over Bernie any day!

The followers of Bernie Sanders have declared an increasing and unproductive war on Beto O’Rourke, up and coming Democrat who has many of the same values- and strategies- that they do. This is coming at a time when both men are deciding whether they will run for the United States presidency. It’s unfortunate that they’re going this route, but it isn’t that surprising.

We have seen in the past how ugly Bernie can get when he is scared of a beating. He’s afraid of Beto, and he should be. O’Rourke is young, progressive, and levelheaded.  He also has Bernie’s feared Revolution Messaging working for him. He has the support of both wings of the party and has been careful to maintain relations with both-not that it’s doing him much good with them at the moment.

During the 2016 presidential election, O’Rourke endorsed Clinton, but he waited until the race was close enough to over so as not to weigh in for one side heavily over the other. He also praised Sanders. “We are fortunate to have had such a vigorously contested nomination. Secretary Clinton will be a better general election candidate and president because of the principled, passionate campaign run by Bernie Sanders,” he told the El Paso Times. “I am deeply grateful that he made campaign finance, military intervention and growing income inequality central to the Democratic nomination debate.”

That was generous, in our view. That’s the kind of guy Beto is.

If Sanders and his followers do end up tearing into him in earnest, it would not be the first time they have done tremendous damage to the causes they espouse, not to mention to America. They voted for Trump just to spite Hillary Clinton and her supporters, and now look where we are. Trump is doing all he can to rip America up at the roots at Putin’s behest.

In terms of a military payoff, look what Putin got this week alone. Trump yanked us out of Syria so unexpectedly that even the guy who talked him into it, the Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan, is said to have been shocked. He almost turned around and asked Trump to stay. Vladimir Putin was undoubtedly thrilled, though. Then Trump decided to start making noise about Afghanistan. Then he removed General James Mattis from his post as Secretary of Defense two months early. And finally, he shut down the government over a wall that no one except a bunch of insane people among the alt-right really wants or thinks they’re getting.

Every bit of this was predictable to anyone with common sense. One did not need a political science major to know that if Trump won, we would all be living in a world of total chaos. But to the members of #BernieOrBust, all of this was a small price to pay for hamstringing Hillary Clinton. Their rabid hatred of her is how they got involved with the Russians. When Robert Mueller, the Special Counsel appointed to investigate Trump’s involvement with the Russian interference of our 2016 election, brought his case against Paul Manafort this fall to trial, Bernie’s manager Tad Devine was the first witness called.

Earlier this year, when Mueller indicted 13 Russian individuals and three Russian entities for helping the Kremlin interfere in the last presidential election, a February 2016 memo was circulated to Internet Research Agency staff showing instructions given to post political content on US social media sites and “use any opportunity to criticize Hillary and the rest (except Sanders and Trump — we support them).”
No wonder Bernie’s people don’t want him to touch “the Russia thing”, not that that stops them from accusing anyone who disagrees with Bernie as being under Russian influence themselves.

Earlier today, in fact, our Facebook webmaster informed me that three Bernie trolls had been removed from our page, as they were going on there spouting about how Millennial Democrats has been hacked and are all Russians. Wrong! Think again. Actually, all that type of baseless accusation does is to cloud the issue even further. More help for Putin.

It’s important to point out that not all Bernie supporters are Bots or Bernie Bros. 9 out of 10 Bernie supporters did go on to vote for Hillary Clinton in the general election. But among the ones who did not, there is a subset of them who are known for being racist, sexist, and mean.

Their shabby treatment of Joy Reid in particular stands out. This picture, a shameful disgrace to America, says it all.

Don’t take it to heart, Beto. Nothing you do will ever be good enough for them. Moderation is a virtue. There’s no doubt you fully realize that fending off slanderous attacks from the right and far left alike are part of the job of being a Democrat. Their reviles and hatred are a sure sign that you are doing an excellent job, and should be interpreted as a sign of success. You came out of the blue all but completely and nearly beat one of the most well-recognized and entrenched Republicans in the nation, Tea Party Ted Cruz, and turned Texas purple in the process. You’re a winner.  If you run, no one will touch Bernie. That’s why his supporters are after you.

Bernie Sanders has two renamed post offices to show for his nearly three decades in the Congress. His accomplishments really are that limited. Nor is he alone among his set in being a progressive with no record of making progress. Radical left darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for example, has yet even to begin her own career, and is currently spending all her days disrupting her own people. Why not go protest the Republicans about climate change? Who knows, but it’s certainly convenient for them that she doesn’t, and that she rather chooses to spend her time harassing Nancy Pelosi who is genuinely great. We have spoken highly of her in the past and done our best to be fair and give her a chance, but those hopes become more distant by the day- and by the tweet.

Going forward, we’re going to reaffirm something that we were partially founded to address. All millennials are not for Bernie! We’re just not. We’re not, and we never will be. We are a very large generation, and most of us are sane. But Bernie supporters have a way of being extremely loud and visible, and it creates a false impression and a narrative the mainstream media that we are here to dispel.

In the beginning and at the end of the day, Millennial Democrats are Democrats. We love our country, we love our party, and we love the world order that our grandparents fought and died to build for us. When it comes time to say where we stand with the socialists, who say it is broken and should be entirely discarded, we must draw a line in the sand completely.

In 2016, that line became a trench.

There has been healing since then, and lines of communication have been gradually opened. The left is no longer as divided, and the demonic frenzy that possessed the Bernie people who rioted in the streets of Philadelphia back in July of 2016 seems to have dissipated somewhat. That’s good because we fervently hope the radicals do not put us to the test again. Our voices are united and strong, and we are ready for anything, come what may. We have come to believe in ourselves, and in each other. If the Bernie Bros come for Beto O’Rourke or any other Democrat, they will find readiness in waiting for them.

A Democratic Code- Protocols for Engagement.

#BlueWave2020!

Good evening to all from Millennial Democrats! Our name means a lot to us, because we spend a lot of time working out what it means to be a Democrat- and how to be of optimum use to the country and party alike. The two are completely inseparable at this point. Democrats retook the House. That means that things will be okay. We endured.

Still, although morale coming off of the Blue Wave is at an all-time high, we must capitalize. That means we must resist the urge to get complacent. We’re in a lull period, a sort of ceasefire, which means its time to shore up foxholes and stockpile and drill. We have to prepare ourselves for the real task- getting rid of Trump once and for all.

It is therefore just the time to tackle some questions as to what a Democratic Code might look like.

How do we reconcile the need for reasonable strictures with the hallowed principles of big-tent coalition?

How do we handle inter-organizational pressures?

How do we keep sane when we’re down in the trenches with each other for years at a time?

These questions have come up again and again, and have created a necessity for a flexible and logical framework of guidelines that everyone can live with and abide by.

This is not as hard as it may seem on the surface! We are Democrats. We come together from across all boundaries and we sometimes work with people who in many ways are quite different from ourselves.

It is absolutely paramount that we come to realize this as our single greatest asset.

Far from being a weakness, the heated and ideologically driven Democratic debates about policy and progress we have allow us the trials by fire we need to become very strong. We are like a lightsaber, dispelling the gloom and corrupt cobwebs that are the right wing’s lies. We have a core that is decent and sensible and growing. People will see our light and want to be part of it. We have only now to give them a good home and be prepared to accept their voices as equals. They’re part of the family already. In short, we can do this. We just have to lay down a foundation.

In keeping with that line of thought, we recommend the following proposals.

1.  There must be universal will to abide by the few basic ground rules laid out when representing an organization.

2. Of paramount importance is our ability to disagree. We must come to fully realize that debate and a fight aren’t the same. Respect your colleagues, and treat them gently. Many of us Resistors are having a very hard time in life, especially under the fool that is Donald Trump. We must fully understand this and show empathy. Divided we cannot stand up.

In example, the Wampanoag Native tribe which gave us Thanksgiving may very soon be pilfered yet again. We are all we’ve got. This should constantly be on our minds when interacting with others. Patience and compassion must be our guides.

3. Respect the organization and the cause by keeping your tempers in check, especially in any sort of public capacity that could hurt the cause or get you targeted. Swearing and violent language should not be done as the page, if at all.
4. Respect the work of others, don’t take a fellow admin’s post down without thorough group discussion of the subject. Once in a while, people are going to post things outside the ring, but they put the time in on it, and deserve to know why it is being removed. Schedule a time to talk and explain to the person their mistake. This is how we improve both our knowledge and our people skills, and hence grow stronger together as a unit.
5. Respect leadership decisions. They will be made at the end of a long discussion leading to group consensus. When they are, we must subordinate our own feelings and trust in the Democratic process. We are Americans.
6. Respect the need to keep on track with political discussions. As we are all such diverse and brilliant people, clashes of ego and opinion are unavoidable. But they can be streamlined by avoiding controversial side topics that have no bearing on what we’re doing here. That is a major goal going forward.
All of us are aware of our significance; every voice is sorely needed. And I know that I don’t have to request you to be equal to the responsibility and trust I have extended you; you’ve already been doing it for a very long time. As Robert the Bruce said, “You are here! You know enough about honor.”
Demonstrate this in word and deed when speaking as a Resistor.
Please keep in mind just how important you all are to this cause, and treat each other like the vital organs of your body that we are. Care for and protect each other, and never forget:
An enemy and an opponent are not the same thing.

Blue Wave Looms Over Voting Day 2018! Get To The Polls And Vote!

Today is Voting Day! That long-awaited day, the one we’ve all been waiting for. As voting kicks off on the final day of the 2018 midterm cycles, we’ve got a few last thoughts to offer.

Down south, it looks like they’re trying to cheat people. Our prayers go out to all Democrats. A particular prayer seems due for Stacey Abrams of Georgia, the gubernatorial candidate of that fair state; we wish her the best of luck overcoming the dirty tricks of the Republicans and taking her state back to sane decency.

The disgraceful conduct of the Republicans will color their names for all time.

This Millennial Democrats contributor voted yesterday. A straight blue ticket! A drop of blue water to a strong Blue Wave. It was a beautiful moment for me. I have been waiting for this every single day since November 8 of 2016. I have lived for it. We are going to take back the House and save our country- and we are going to do it today!

Even one branch of Congress will be enough for us to stymie every evil thing they try to do. Forget about Trump getting anything else past legislature. He’ll be stuck in his chair from that point on. The Blue Wave’s Crest is towering over him as we speak. He is in its shadow.

For all of you who might see this at the last minute- If you are stuck at home today. If you’re too sick. If you’re too busy- Please take advantages of resources designed to help you get to those polls! Your country needs you, your people need you, your planet needs you!

EVERYTHING we have been doing here for all this time is pointless if we don’t make it into those booths.

Now, Millennial Democrats! Today is that day! Let’s get out there and vote!

See you at the booths!!

Cold War 2.0- Sonic Attacks Spread from Cuba to China, Russia Suspected.

American diplomats in China have been getting brain injuries from mysterious sonic-based “health attacks“. They appear to be the same devices used to give brain injuries to our diplomats in Cuba. The chief suspect is Russia because that’s who’s got the most to lose from America and her old Cold War era enemies making peace.

It reads like something out of the history books from fifty years ago, doesn’t it? Communist bullies and thugs all over the world stage, and the United States upholding its values in spite of them. We all stood together, and we supported all the world.

Now look at us.

The Russians are treating us like a monkey does when it sees visitors at the zoo peering in at them, and slings its feces at their faces in impotent rage. They laugh and don’t bother even to move. The monkey can’t hit us, because the glass is there.

But what if the zookeeper came along and busted out the window? Would they still be safe from the monkey poop?

Stepping out of analogy land just in time, we’re pretty sure the answer is no.

Worse, the Trump administration is minimizing it and trying to cover it up. In Cuba, they’re telling us we’re all hypochondriacs, and in Russia, they are openly boasting.

Meanwhile, Putin says he’s preparing for war against us since Trump yanked us out of the nuclear treaty without warning-not that America has any choice but to defend herself since Putin’s been developing blatantly for years. Our missiles were getting old. What are we supposed to do? Some believe this also is about China.

It is the gut feeling of this Millennial Democrats contributor that the whole entire bromance between Putin and Trump can be viewed as the Russo-German Non-Aggression Pact 2.0.

Stalin and Hitler never meant to play nice forever. It was a marriage of expedience. They wanted to spook the liberal powers of the West into backing off and leaving Poland to her miserable fate, which they did. But soon, they got into a pissing contest, and nearly finished off the human race in the process of resolving it.

That’s what Trump and Putin are doing now, except instead of just Poland, it’s the whole entire world.

The webmaster of this site has seen it attacked by the most diverse locations. Hackers from everywhere on earth that people live have tried to take our website down or smear or smash it. They have come from Lviv, Ukraine, they have come from Shanghai, China.

They have come from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which just had its own far-right lunatic candidate Jair Bolsonaro take power in one of the most violent election cycles in that country’s whole entire history. The guy got stabbed in the stomach last month by the Brazilian equivalent of a Bernie Bro, but that’s a whole different article.

The point to consider right this second is the map they’ve tried to hack us from. It’s like a grid of the entire right-wing worldwide network. You can see how they work together. In early 2017, it was always Russians and Eastern Europeans who were trying to hack us. But these days it’s all the Chinese.

The Chinese have tried to hack into Millennial Democrats more than a hundred times; our Sucuri plugin keeps automatic records.

One time these Chinese guys tried to hack us from a strange IP address that appears as a link. I took an old computer and clicked on it from there, and it took me to a strange website where nothing existed save a blank page with the obscure phrase, “Silence is the Gold” written on it.

It’s a saying from Taiwan meant to reproach regular people who speak out on world events, as they believe it’s only those of “noble” birth, e.g. rich kids, who have the right to their opinions.

Silence is the Gold. It was clear they’d put it up there just so we would find it. It was just for us. How eerie. If you’re such a rich big shot, why is the silence of us “little” people required? What is so threatening, if we’re all so itty bitty? All we want is a decent world to live in, to heal up from Hiroshima and Dresden and the Holocaust.

Why don’t you guys want that too?

I’ve been thinking about that phrase ever since that incident happened, and I’d like to thank the man who sent me there to find it. Having read it, I finally understand what it is they are working together for. It really is the Non-Aggression Pact a second time.

All of the monsters everywhere are getting together and making common cause, just long enough to restore the status quo of a hundred years ago.

They all want to return to the days of graft, corruption, and big bosses, in which if you are little people, you’ll only get any Gold if you employ your right to be Silent; that’s what the blacklist was for. Just shut up and go to work and let the professionals handle it, they seem to be saying, all the while greedily eyeing one another’s possessions.

Last time we tried leaving it all to them, they nearly killed us all in World War Two. The next World War will employ nuclear weapons. People won’t survive that very long.

As the old saying goes, war is too important to be left to the generals, and politics are too important to be left to politicians. It follows naturally that all of human life is too important to be left to them as well. Regardless of our bank accounts, we have got to take personal responsibility and do all we can to fend this off. Together, we are strong.

Interestingly enough, as these words were being written, our webmaster received an alert which was then sent to me, that hackers operating out of China, from an IP address in the Hangzhou Alibaba Advertising Co.,Ltd. system tried to bruteforce attack our site.

If they ever make a computer virus that can use that sonic device on us, I’ll be one of the ones it’s aimed at.

What a thought.
