Michael Cohen On His Way To Witness Stand

Michael Cohen, the personal attorney of America’s 45th president, has all but caught a case of the plague.

The pressure from two active federal investigations is worsening, and his lawyers are about to walk out the door.

ABC News reported Wednesday that the attorneys for President Donald Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, are about to leave the case.

The news has fueled a thousand speculations. Is Cohen flipping? Is he on his way to the can? Did he fire his lawyers, or did they quit? If they quit, was it because he’s toxic or because he didn’t pay them?

If Cohen did fire them, the decision was likely related to money, said former prosecutor Roland Riopelle to Business Manager on the subject today. McDermott, Will, and Emery, the firm where Ryan, Evans, and Harrison work, is what Riopelle described as “a gigantic firm where they bill premium rates.”

Good luck paying those bills, off the twelve cents an hour you’ll make in the fed joint.

“And it could simply mean that Michael Cohen thinks he’s going to bankrupted by this law firm before he gets to the end,” Riopelle continued. “And so he wants to make a change.”

But sources close to ABC say his lawyers are expected to leave the case on their own, and that he, as a result, is now likely to cooperate with federal investigators. It seems very possible he’s doing it to signal Trump somehow, in a sort of mob lawyer S.O.S. “Hey, old pal, I’m in big trouble here! Get me some help, or I’m going to have to snitch!”

“I think the likelihood of Mr. Cohen immediately flipping on the president just went through the roof,” Michael Avenatti, the attorney for the adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, told Business Insider.

Trump is reportedly financing portions of Cohen’s legal defense already.

Katy Tur from MSNBC reported earlier today that prosecutors at the Southern District of New York (SDNY) have contacted Cohen’s legal team, informing him that they are “preparing paperwork” to have him arrested. This lines up with reporting from Gabriel Sherman that Cohen expects to be arrested at any time, perhaps even tomorrow.
Cohen is running scared, in our opinion. He’s going to tell for sure. He was not only Trump’s lawyer but his longtime personal confidant. He knows better than anyone how little Trump values other people. He’ll be left out to dry because he’s become a liability, and he’s panicking. Part of him is still in denial, but in his heart, he knows.
The potential value of Michael Cohen to Robert Mueller or other investigators cannot be overstated, as he’s got more dirt on Donald Trump then anyone. He’s been his henchman this whole time. If he decides to cooperate, Trump is burned up and he knows it.
Hilariously, Cohen says he is feeling neglected by the president, according to sources of the Washington Post. From the guy who hired a thug to terrify Stormy Daniels, this level of naivete defies credulity. Trump has spent his whole life looking out for Trump. He doesn’t care about Cohen or anyone else, except insofar as they’re a risk or a reward to him.
In the movies, things never work out well for a mob lawyer, and there is always a moral to the story. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. If you cast your lot with a crook, you’ll end up on a crooked path. A bill will be presented, and a day of reckoning will come. Michael Cohen will soon be able to mark it on his calendar.
