China Will Likely Be 2020’s Main Hacking Actor, Not Russia! Be Alert!

Where the Americans first fought the Chinese- the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea.
Attention, all Democrats and anyone else who likes to think of themselves as good Americans. The 2020 presidential election is in peril already, and not by the usual suspects; or, at least. We now have every reason, both in terms of good sound common sense and in terms of evidence, to state categorically that China has been making large-scale and highly threatening moves toward taking over the job of hacking our democracy into the ground from Russia.
Needless to say, the news is dire. These guys are ten times as strong as the Russians. Smarter, more disciplined, more subtle. Please, folks. Look through this carefully and then go raise awareness. We’re on our own out here, against the worst of the worst. This guy Xi Jinping, prime minister of the People’s Republic of China (who locked up a million Muslim without cause last year), has called Putin his “best, most dearest friend”, but actually, he’s pretty much made him into a butler. We hardly need to revisit how often we’ve received a sniveling display of Trump’s pathetic need to suck up to them both.
The Chinese, doing the dirty digital work for the Russians. Makes sense, plenty of supporting evidence, Chinese hackers everywhere. It all fits, except for one thing:
What is China going to get out of the deal?
Tough question to be sure, and no certain answers, but just the same. Maybe we can take a shot at this one, too. Follow the money, you all know the game by now.
The Nikkei Asian Review gives us a major clue into the state of all this wheeling and dealing, and it’s consistent with the pattern we’ve been seeing. Russia and China are doing a lot of business but it’s not really good for Russia, which is trading its oil- the lifeblood of the country and the source of Putin’s personal fortune- away at a real steal for China.
“China is now the largest overseas market for Russian oil, gobbling up a quarter of all her northern neighbor’s oil exports.” -Yohei Ishikada, Nikkei Asian Review.
That’s what China’s getting out of the deal to prop Putin up like Hitler did Mussolini. Cheap oil. What a surprising motivator, in today’s world. How is it going for these two old bosom friends? They hardly seem to know themselves.
An article from Politico recently had the headline of “Russia to China: Together we can rule the world”.
Well, Xi can rule it, anyway.
His partner Putin can strut around like Trump is doing now (oh, and so much for white supremacy, you two bastions of Occidental pride. Way to make us look real slick. This man you’d probably refer to as a celestial is taking you both for a ride, not to mention the rest of us. God, way to go, you pair of sloppy jokers. Jesus.), doing his best Foghorn Leghorn impersonation, telling everyone loudly and repetitively that both men are, in fact, roosters. I guess we’ll have to give them that much, at least, even if they are only a banty and a tom in ill health.
Meanwhile, Xi waltzes off with the world hegemony, laughing all the way to his new personal bank- the nation of Switzerland. It’s possible that the Chinese have bought out the Russian interest in all this altogether. History will know, one day.
This has now breached the level of a conspiracy theory. We’ve been waiting for this ever since they began trying to hack us, more than a year ago. America, I am begging you all for help, this is about us all. Raising awareness is always the goal, but this time it’s more critical than ever before since I’ve been writing. Produce original content every way you can. Posts, memes, articles, whatever you can think up. It’s all for the sake of catching eyes and winning hearts for good!
Returning to our unbelievably important topic, it will not be Russia but China who will do Trump’s campaign work this time. China has already been the main offender of hacking, both around here and around the nation and the western world for more than a year. They are also giving off nationalism in waves, like the spray of a skunk. An inherent contempt of the American progressive (a real progressive, not a fake Bernie Bot neoprog) permeates their policy toward us.
Think of their racist slogan for us, ‘baizuo’ (white left). Real nice. They have no respect for us at all and think none of us will know enough to think to look for them. Power grid hacks like we’ve been exchanging with the Russians, theft, and disinformation. Recent-and mammoth- leveling up of sheer numbers of attempts.
With thousands of hours of research on this topic under my belt and over a thousand pieces of photo/email evidence indicating in this direction, it finally dawned on me. They’re cooking something big up this time, and it seems to be working.
a
Trump’s recent decision not to approve funding for the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) indicates that he’s on board. Probably this is a Russian-hatched plot, but strongly augmented by an unfathomable amount of Chinese muscle who’s been coming in and pulling the triggers. I have had a Russian try and hack me once in this whole entire year and even he seemed like a honey trap. Look how clumsy he was.
Look at this blatant Russian, hoping to get caught. What a dopey fellow, hah hah, no real harm here- except now I’ve got everybody looking away from China as it builds its own Internet Research Agency!
It will not be the Russians spearheading the main branch of the effort as they no longer possess the element of surprise although my guess is that strategical guidance will continue to come from the Kremlin, Putin is always the creative one. He’s just making rock soup, is all, same as George Patton, taking it as it comes like the blackjack player he is.
On some levels Putin appears to have hit the jackpot again, even though it’s showing signs of getting out of control on him. He found a rich resource, in manpower one hundred percent of the riches because China has so many people, and he’s got an angle that no one would ever see unless they happened to stumble across it as I did. The Chinese have been the primary culprits for more than a year now, I have kept records and made many copies to place with friends-in case. Who knows what they would do, we hardly even know what they are after. When they first attacked me I was totally befuddled. It didn’t really seem to be their fight; after all, I’d never written a word about them.
It’s only once you look at the financial sector, which naturally includes hacking and energy, that it becomes obvious why Xi got interested in this. And now here we are, on the verge of their being our new Public Enemy #1.
Wow.
“The wider energy sector has found itself front and center in the hybrid cyber warfare campaign that has extended the battlefield. In recent months, Russia has been the archvillain of those campaigns. But China plies its hacking trade widely, and so this latest disclosure comes as little surprise.
Well, knowing is half the battle, at any rate. Man, oh, man, where is GI Joe when you need him? I guess he’s hanging out with Joe DiMaggio someplace listening to Simon and Garfunkel (just please, no Bridge over Troubled Waters; thanks a whole lot, crazy Bernie or Busters, for spoiling that song for me for life.)
See, this right here is the thing. They’re the ones planning it all out, they got the best of us before, and they seem fully aware that our intelligence communities have not put this together all the way yet.
That means we’re on our own, Democrats. Tell everyone you know, show them this article. We have less than five hundred days to save the country. We have got some work to do. We have some really good opponents to catch up to; good thing they’re Communists or they might actually win.
The only way we can catch up is through diligent training and education, and we had better start now. We have to adapt the cadre training model into something a free thinker can use without turning his stomach. We have to learn technology, finance, law, political strategy, and history.
And we have to know them well! Better than the opposition does. We are currently up against the three most powerful men on Earth according to Forbes Magazine, and they will certainly have some competent personnel lying around who can give us a very tough fight as we currently are. We must improve! The cause demands it. That is what they do; that is what we need to do.
That last, by the way, learning history, is a lot more than being able to sound good at a bar or display a pretentious wordiness. It’s the most critical step in all this to a member of a cadre who is there to fight and win, because it provides the basis of a foundational understanding to all the rest, plus every other major science. The Romans would have called it a sine qua non, an indispensable condition, and they would have been one hundred percent correct.
In the last analysis, as a takeaway from this voluminous article, the British publication The Economist points out another insight that might prove key at some point later on. At one point writing this article, I decided to do a Google search for “what does China really want from Russia?”
As I mentioned earlier. Cheap oil.
Oil is all Putin has, and all he’s getting back for it is Xi’s help backing his play. It now becomes obvious that Xi needs Putin far less than Putin needs Xi (neither needs Trump as anything but a big orange golem to do some mental defective’s task now and again) and argues all of Russia is being weakened as a result. Perhaps the Chinese are permanently preparing to take over the powerful cyber-assets that Russia can hardly use anymore; again, without the element of surprise, Russia’s size-of-Italy economy can never hope to be more than a paper tiger.
Quite the opposite for Xi, whose economy is the second strongest in the world, and who has ten times as many people as Putin-literally. 150 million to 1.42 billion. Putin is not a paper tiger at all if he can command the might of China, but that does not seem to be how things are working out in practice. Putin may find that he himself can have a personal Mephistopheles, not just be Trump’s. They’re like three Russian babushkas crossbred with voodoo dolls.
It’s definitely a fitting comeuppance for the both of them, but as tempting as it might be to leave a couple of true and utter villains in the desert to die of thirst, letting China snatch the World Island is not what’s best for the world; just look at what they’re doing to us! We will have to fight the Chinese tooth and nail, here at Millennial Democrats, and it’s actually thinkable that for a time the domestic and Russian opposition may end up being allies to resist what would amount to a second Mongol invasion of Europe. Wouldn’t it be terrible if we ended up having to stand with Putin and Trump to keep China from overtaking all? Yes, absolutely, but stranger things have happened.
In any possible scenario, don’t forget to vote a straight blue ticket next year.
In the end, it’s got to be useful to realize that, as with everything else going on these days, this is not about Trump, he’s just Putin’s donkey (now quite possibly on loan to Xi Jinping).
Donkey Punch.
Donkey Punch.
It’s about geopolitics and finance long term. This hacking transition between our two most dangerous global adversaries is a part of it; we’re in a transitional phase of the game, a chess master might say. And I tell you this, world, I shout it from the rafters! They are up to something right this very minute, laying the groundwork and pipelines for whatever scumbag plot they’ve dreamed up for next year. That’s what all this hacking and setting up of disinformation and preparing to create their own troll farms is about.
The Chinese are a notoriously subtle people, they’re far more sophisticated than the Russians. They’re going to hit us as hard as they can, as suddenly as they can, from an angle they think we will not expect, and unless we can wake people up in time somehow they’ll succeed. They’re doing it as we speak (probably literally, I’ll check my email to see if there are any fresh Bruteforce Attacks that have come in even while I wrote this article here in a minute).
They’re talking about a Chinese troll farm, an Internet Research Agency China! The Epoch Times has already started to become this very thing, that’s why Facebook yanked their adds three days after it was discovered that they’re owned trolls themselves have prototypes already, they’re called 50 Centers for the amount of money they get paid to do what they do. The MSM has not yet fully put this together yet, only bits and pieces, who knows what their rationale would be for not raising the rafters on this one.
Maybe some of them want to be cautious, journalistic standards and all; okay, we can dig it, I like to think I live by them too- just not to the point of embracing cowardice.
Maybe, like last time, they’ll want to wait until all the facts are in- when the next Mueller Report comes out in 2022.
Sigh.
We don’t have that luxury, America, and more specifically you Democrats who are the only ones at all who have set their minds and hearts toward guarding her, our beautiful mother and fatherland. but we at Millennial Democrats have known now for over a year because the enemy hackers themselves were our instructors. Our WordPress blog has now been the target of more than six hundred bruteforce hacking attempts, and now they’re making larger moves. Even Facebook has had to do something (which it only ever does if it gets dangerous to Zuckerberg’s bottom line not to), that being the suspension of Epoch Times ads-which were all Trump ads! That can only mean Facebook is concerned about it too, but everyone is being quiet-
Except for us.
Start watching for this; it is NOT incredible. Would that it were! We are up against an enemy this time who is ten times stronger than Russia; Xi has forced Putin to be his donkey boy. They’ve got some new tricks, and some old tricks with new faces. Keep your eyes on it, Democrats! Record the tendency. Take screenshots! Save emails. We have to be able to prove this six ways from Sunday, or the big boys in our intelligence community, a la 2016, will just keep ignoring it right up until the bitter end.
What are some of these new tricks, you ask? What got me on this line of thought today? Something quite at random, as it works out. I was just sort of absently scrolling through my timeline on Facebook, and here I find being shared and Liked by leftists a story that did not belong in the newspaper it belonged to- The Epoch Times, half ultra-conservative and half conspiracy factory. I had to check it out, and as usual,
The far-right disinformation rag known as the Epoch Times has been running this story on a black woman who has just been made a general. That’s fantastic in our eyes, and in the eyes of many others also on the left.
So why would the Epoch Times be running it? They’re somewhere between Breitbart News and the Russian disinformation office- both of whom also were taught ritualistically to exploit racial issues in America. I guess I’d have to say my DissectFake button went into overdrive right about then. Sure enough, the only story I could find about a black woman colonel being made a general, Lorna Mahlock, was a year old (that’s a real article, folks, back there in the link, NOT the Epoch Times).
Readable or not, why would the Epoch Times not only run such a story but dig it up and revive it and recirculate it after a year? It was really quite a puzzle and still is, other than that it’s clearly a honey trap, meaning they’re hoping to draw in and reprogram a few disgruntled leftists. Strange.
What sort of weird plot is this? I asked myself, puzzled- as puzzled as I was the first time the Chinese tried hacking into this blog. China? Hm, thought I. It didn’t seem to make much sense. For the likes of this guy to be hacking the blog was one thing; after all, I did articles on him and his boss all the time.
Upon looking it up I could not find a word about this woman anywhere else. So I Googled it with the words “epoch times” in quotation marks (which whittles down the search engine optimization [SEO] down a great deal; good way to get answers quick, folks. Know this stuff! They do! We cannot let them get ahead of us in anything).
And when I did, the most bizarre article came up. It’s a piece by the New Yorker on this other magazine that’s made to lie to Chinese people living abroad from China (members of the Chinese Diaspora, a term we will revisit), specifically students. Upon reading a ways into that, I saw what the relevance was. The New Yorker article was talking about the Epoch Times and a recent discovery regarding it made by NBC, just twelve days ago on August 20.
The Epoch Times is owned by the Chinese.
Unbelievable. Right on the cusp of the biggest week of cyber-assaults in MD’s proud history, we note that Facebook also seems to have taken action. They canceled the Epoch Times’s ads three days after this was discovered. A “Czechoslovakian” hacker sent a virus in a message to all kinds of people I know on the same day that some weirdo from France-who, as it works out, lived in an area where a very large portion of France’s three-quarters of a million Chinese emigres live- kept trying to hack me all day long. Circumstantial evidence keeps mounting up and intensifying.
Researching this, incidentally, we found out that a Czech IP address can be bought quite easily, usable from any point in the world. It may use NordVPN to do it as they have forty-five servers in the Czech Republic, and many people at this point know that’s the very VPN hackers like to use the best, especially those who like to use Tor Browser a lot, accessing the deep web and firing off shots at me from. This a
One guy actually managed numerous times to attempt his hack through Tor nodes themselves, which was interesting because the Geolocation feature came up grey.
The vast, worldwide right wing conspiracy Hillary Clinton spoke of takes a swing and a miss at Millennial Democrats.
The vast, worldwide right wing conspiracy Hillary Clinton spoke of takes a swing and a miss at Millennial Democrats.
A look at his location.
A look at his location. Note the age of these pictures. 2018; we have kept a close eye on this developing situation ever since it all began for us back then when they hurt our diplomats with that crazy sonar device back then. BIG time critical.

Tor makes you anonymous, of course, but even still the timestamps told on the guy. It told me it had happened many hours before, and I just had I have no proof that would hold up in court proving this guy is Chinese, but certainly, the reviews left about his IP address on whatismyIPaddress.com labeling him a hacker at least ten times made me wonder. He was using the very same techniques like the ones who try and get me all the time from Hangzhou, XML exploits, trying to log in here as ‘admin’ over and over,
The big one, though, is that all of these guys with all these hacking complaints-from many, many different websites including some that are innocuous- seem to have gotten started the same week- the one Donald Trump took office in or later that year, 2017. Not one of them has a single complaint from before then. Not a one.
I read this one book on cadre training regiments that Chinese Communist Party schools use to indoctrinate and prepare their recruits for ideological warfare with, which hints at why this might be; they call it party entrepreneurialism. It’s a decentralizing sort of strategy and a useful one because it’s not likely they’re even being specifically, personally asked to sign a contract per se for any of this. Although past a certain point no Westerner can know exactly what they do, in a state-run capitalist society. Basically, they know there’s going to be money in it for them anytime they can get anyone the boss
This has only been known for eleven days. We are not far behind, folks, we got lucky. I really just chanced across this quite per happenstance, it wasn’t doing opposition research or anything like that. I was just reviewing my timeline on Facebook. Hardly even thinking about politics and certainly not Chinese politics.
Who knew this would literally lead to what may very well be the most critical single factor in next year’s election!
They’ve got this college newspaper aimed at Chinese students abroad, College Daily. It’s being called by this stupid new term of a “post-truth” paper; Let’s here in America not be afraid to call a lie a lie! Those are lie papers, not post-truth. They’re blatant falsehood papers, so let’s meet their falsehoods with a sternly repeated truth- It turns out the Epoch Times, right-wing disinfo paper, is Chinese!
The ones operating the paper are emigres, part of that Diaspora thing we were just talking about. It’s called the Golan Fang sect. Back in the 1980s, it was little more than a public workout program for Chinese people. But after 1999, for reasons Western outsiders are not privy to (although sooner or later, the reason why will turn up, it always does) it fell out of Beijing’s favor and was ruthlessly suppressed. Its leaders were chased into exile, some ended up here, and from that fact alone they’ve been assumed by our intelligence communities to be anti-China’s government.
However, things are not always as simple as they seem.
Turns out these Golan Fangs here, religious cult types like Tulsi Gabbard, ran 11,000k Trump adds last year alone. That is more pro-Trump adds put out by them than anyone else. No other group in all the world, not Russia nor the RNC nor the Kochtopus, ran that many ads for Trump last year. Fishy? You bet your life. Here at Millennial Democrats, regular readers will already know that in politics, and when up against this shifty segment of the global elite especially, things are almost never like they’re being put out there as. This is no different and a stellar example besides. It’s just another con. #FakeLeftIsAltRight.
Don’t be fooled by the anti-Chinese reputation this lot has got. The Epoch Times is as dirty as they get and it’s performing a task China’s government needs with great enthusiasm and alacrity. They’ve been a highly persecuted sect for the last twenty years. That’s why they’re over here now. They have every reason to cut a deal with Xi. Maybe if they can make him happy, they can all go home, fish one another out of the labor camps, and take each other out for beers and sake.
All they’ve got to do is a nice hard and dirty number down on us.
You can take it on faith the dear Epoch staff is controlled opposition by this point even if they started out genuine. If they’re pushing Trump this hard, forget it. 11,000+ Trump ads in a year? That is not the work of a hobbyist unless it was a peculiar sort of autist like me. It’s too big and too expensive for that by a damn sight. At the College Daily, the other spreader of perfidious untruth, they’ve got trained teams learning how to use clickbait- just as we’ve seen more and more these last four years and even prior. They are organized, fanatical, and pretty good. We have got to catch up now. Soon it will be too late.
It’s just like Lenin said, “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.” It’s this man and his legacy we’re up against, folks, in terms both of his philosophy and his iron political doctrines. Direct lineage. China’s Mao learned from Russia’s Stalin whose mentor and master was Lenin, founder of the Soviet Union, the evilest empire the world has ever known, and also to that most evil and merciless system, Leninist Communism, the variety that starved to death five million of its own people in the first five years it had the power to.
For a thought toward what we’re really up against here, let’s briefly discuss how much more lethal and cruel Communism was than even fascism (which in large part justified itself by pointing at the Soviets without one single word). Even if we include the Nazis, we are still talking about the most lethal system ever. These people killed FAR more people than the Nazis. There’s a reason why we’re so anti-socialism around here.
We might not have any cadre training; hell, many of us never went to college. It doesn’t matter. The free thinking activist who takes on such rigorous training for the love of God and country alone will always defeat the mechanical drudgy Communist. They have no choice but to murder their people into doing what they want.
As an aside, Democrats would never be forced into such a foul unnecessity. Why? Because we have a philosophy, and a good one. With a core made of decency and strength and light. The people we’ve got are all here by choice. For free. Because we see what’s going on and we have set out in grim earnest to stop these savages in their tracks.
God bless the American Democratic Party, that is blessed with such amazing personnel.
In the Black Book of Communism, Stephane Courtois lays the numbers out flat and stark. The Nazis, deliberately bestial and murderous animals that they were, even so were not able to even get near the body count of the Communists. 20-25 million taken out by Nazis, and 80-100 million killed by Communism.
When I hear that, I see the moronic face of Bernie Sanders, chuckling like a zombie ghoul in some restless awful corner of my brain. “To me, democratic socialism means democracy, basically,” said our dear old St. Bernard.
STOP DRAGGING IT THROUGH THE MUD, THEN! DROP THE SOCIALISM! It’s advocating for mass murder and the Gulag Archipelago. Statistically, as we have seen- and still see now in places like Venezuela- I could tell you all to volunteer at Auschwitz with a better conscience that I’d tell you to Feel the Bern, all because of that reckless vicious socialism. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Here’s that video again where he’s getting drunk with the Soviets on his honeymoon, howling out Woody Guthrie in a shirtless and not quite presidential manner.
Aw, hell.
These days the cult of Mao is dead; there’s not much to be gained by inspiring people anymore with Enlightenment liberty or Revolutionary utopia. Both are a total joke to the people we are up against. But the society he started, the party schools and cadre training and endlessly fanatical disciples, is alive and well on Planet Earth- just like Satan.
This means that China is, even more, a threat this year than Russia! They are going to be our chief adversary next year while we are all still watching for Macedonians and Russians- right after the Federal Election Commission has been shut down! They are counting on their ability to catch us off guard again even as we look for it.
We have to tell everyone we can! This is BEYOND critical! Raise awareness! The country is depending on our ability to care about it. Right now the whole world is on a precipice, anything could happen to set things off. World War I started because people were bored and they still are. We are cleaning up that mess to this very day, and it’s about to get a whole lot worse.
Here are some screenshots, taken just today. Even as I finished doing my homework, I realized this was something really big. Nobody has seen this yet so far as I know. We have to raise awareness this time; it’s not just a moral imperative. There is something big about to happen, and everyone is looking in the wrong direction. Look at how obvious the Russians are these days.
Look at this blatant Russian, hoping to get caught. What a dopey fellow, hah hah, no real harm here- except now I’ve got everybody looking away from China as it builds its own Internet Research Agency!

Sound the alarm! Tell everyone you know! Call your Senator, your Representative; call the White House if you’ve somehow gotten the impression he’s not part of it, he brings you up to speed in word and deed, constantly. The Chinese are ten times more dangerous than the Russians ever were. We have to get ready. Now.

Battle on the Border- Why The Democratic Fight Against Wall Is Worth It.

The Berlin Wall of Shame is a mistake that should remain unrepeated.

“Something there is that does not love a wall”, said the famous American poet, Robert Frost, in his famous poem Mending Wall, and that seems like a good place to start, in discussing the proposed border Wall of Donald Trump, a completely unAmerican project if ever there was one. A constitutional crisis has come to our Southern border, latest in a long line of artificial disasters created by the illegitimate and infantile man who with Russian help stole the 2016 election.

Returning again to his use of executive power to bring chaos to the country and deflect national attention from his crimes, crimes which his old campaign manager Paul Manafort got a 19-year prison sentence recommended for last week, Donald Trump has declared a national emergency where there isn’t one, announcing his intention to try and build the Wall he’s been screaming about, twelve hundred miles worth of ugly mess and dark symbol on our entire Southern border.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff gave us the story Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “He’s pretty much daring the court to strike this down,” the California Democrat said. “It is going to be a real test for my GOP colleagues in Congress and their devotion to the institution.” Knowing the Republicans, they will roll right over for Trump.

It hardly bears repeating why this whole thing is moronic and despicable. Readers of this blog will most certainly already know. But what’s the other side of the story? How can the Republicans possibly justify this? What are the Fox News talking points? How could the fight be worth it in their ridiculous eyes? As they see it, here’s how the story goes, at least in the observations of this Millennial Democrats contributor.

The Wall is not immoral because it has a door. People will be allowed through according to legal channels. The current state of affairs wherein new waves of immigrants pass under bushes and across the desert to flock into our country by the hundreds will be ended. What Trump is doing is understandable, he needs it for his base, and above all, the fight is not worth it for the rest of us. It cost the country $7 billion.

Their solution? We should simply give up the fight and let him build the thing.

Let’s start out in the Aristotelian model, by conceding that there are aspects of truth to this. As always with Trump, like Charles Manson, he is very good at taking the truth and making a lie out of it. Another point to consider is that if the president of the United States wants a $5 billion appropriation for a pet project that’s important to him personally and partially fulfills a campaign promise, then he ought to be able to get it.

This is also true. The time-honored way for him to get it is to do what Trump promised above all else- come to the negotiating table, and make good deals. But back at the beginning of 2018, we were ready to cut a deal that could have given him the wall if in so doing we could have secured legal rights of citizenship for our DREAMers, the roughly two million Latino-Americans who were brought here by their parents as small children.

We, Democrats, came to the table offering a compromise involving wall money and a path to citizenship for DREAMers. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer came up with a good plan and brought it to the table for him to sign. He almost went for it, too. It was immigration hardliners in Trump’s own administration who scuttled the deal, and that is what brings us to the core truth of this whole standoff.

The Wall is a completely pointless waste of time.

Everyone knows it, including the immigration hardliners. They themselves clearly don’t think the wall is particularly useful or important in the real world. If they really wanted a wall, they would go get a wall by offering something in exchange for it, like protection for the DREAMers or letting the immigrant children their thugs have hijacked out of the warehouses they’re keeping them in, or some other thing. Nothing has been offered and nothing will be, because the only one who wants this done is Trump. As for the aforementioned hardliners, they know the whole concept is idiotic, so they won’t offer to trade for it. It’s as simple as that.

That the Wall is pointless and not worth it is true enough, and it is also Trump’s fault. He himself immediately admitted, “I didn’t have to do this” and then went on to recite his worn out old stump speech for the umpteenth millionth time. This whole boring episode makes it clear that Trump is even more isolated in his position that what’s happened on our southwestern border constitutes any kind of a national emergency than he was when he first caused the #TrumpShutdown. The immigration hardliners and the sane center agree on that much.

But where considerations of silver and gold are all that kind of person sees, it’s only where we’re getting started.

For one thing, the belief that a wall alone will keep anyone out of anything is just plain stupid. It’s a ridiculous concept all around. It’s a medieval solution to a post-industrial problem. If they really wanted to keep immigrants from crossing the Rio Grande they would lock up the guys hiring these guys. If they didn’t know they could come here and get jobs easy, they would stay back home.

Trump cites the “migrant caravans” as a reason why this is a crisis, pointing to the disgraceful failure that is Venezuelan socialism and noting that the refugees heading out of that area are in desperate straits. He sent our troops to the border in response to one of these just before the midterms.

Now that was disgraceful.

Militarily speaking, there are no modern examples of a wall being a successful defending strategy, but there sure are lots of examples of their failure. We don’t have to go all the way back to when the Mongols hopped right over the Great Wall of China, nor do we have to make mention of the founder of Rome, Romulus, having killed his brother Remus for mocking the wall he’d built around the city. He laughed at him, just like we’re all doing at Donald, which should serve as an abject lesson of how ugly people can be in a state of wounded pride.

Fixed fortifications failed the French at the Maginot Line, which was the most heavily equipped fortress of a border there ever has been. The Germans simply drove tanks through the Ardennes Forest around it, and conquered France in a little over six weeks back in 1941.

Likewise, in 1944, American troops stormed the beach at Normandy and cracked Hitler’s vaunted Atlantic Wall in one day.

France proved our point again on its way to dragging the United States into Vietnam, by getting themselves annihilated at a fortress called Dien Bien Phu.

But above all others, it was a non-military barrier as this one will be, as ideological as physical, the border of the Berlin Wall that stood for many years as the world’s largest eyesore.

The premier of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khruschev, put it up across Berlin in 1967. It was the result of a fit of petty rage, his own pride wounded when he understood just how unpopular his communist system was, that many people were escaping to the free lands of the West through the part of Berlin controlled by the Allied powers.

This was because, above all else, people wanted to be free than live under the hells of socialism. We still do.

Someone ought to tell Bernie Sanders that, not that he’d listen.

The Berlin Wall came down in 1991, right behind the evil empire of the Soviet Union that was propping it up, and it’s nothing but a memory now. But the scars it has left on the psyche of the human race are very large and have yet to fully heal. Something there is that does not love a wall, indeed. Willy Brandt, the Social-Democratic mayor of Berlin, and soon to be chancellor, called it the Wall of Shame. The term caught on quick and was totally accurate. If Trump does build a new one, it will be revived.

In the end, it isn’t all a question of money and impracticality. Trump’s Wall is a symbol and an evil one just as much as the one in Berlin. As Nancy Pelosi said, it really was total immorality. To placate his base would be insane, since they are all insane, and there’s no sense in appeasing dictators or their bases anyway- because it can’t be done. They will take and take until there is nothing left.

As the old saying goes, and as we have written in the past, never give Poland to Hitler. If we rolled over on this Trump would be emboldened to try for the next wicked item on his unending agenda of corruption all the harder, not that that will ever happen. Walls keep people from coming together, and that’s exactly what the human race does not need. Our history is vibrantly sad already. It’s time for us to begin learning how to heal, not to begin inflicting new wounds.

All cancer comes from one form of inflammation or another. This has gone on for too long. It’s bad for the presidency, it’s bad for America, and it’s bad for the whole human race. The border must remain open, the government must remain open, and Donald Trump must be made to stop using his powers in this egregiously ridiculous and damaging way. America has had enough.

Trump’s SOTU Cheered as Venezuelan Socialism Falls- How Right Wing Gets Mileage From Far Left.

Trump's SOTU Cheered for Anti-Socialist Theme he stole from us.

As the Venezuelan crisis worsens, and the country’s failing socialism system continues to demonstrate why the likes of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are foolish, we are seeing the illegitimate president Trump’s new strategy at work. Now the long game becomes clear. Using no less a mouthpiece than the 2019 State of the Union Address, Trump both charted his 2020 strategy and scored big points by taking the time to score a shot on socialism, vowing that America will never be a socialist country.

It’s a little late to stand on that now, Donald, but we don’t kid ourselves that will stop you from trying.

This is what we’ve been warning against all along. The fake left is just as anti-Democrat as the right; why? How is it that their interests always manage to coincide? What were they playing at? Why has Trump been so soft on socialism until now? Why not during the election, when America really needed to hear all of our leaders saying it?

Because then it would have been too early.

In Ocasio-Cortez, in the few very loud members of our generation that have been hoodwinked into supporting this truly evil and invasive form of government, the Republicans now have a walking personification of all they have been fighting with their money to create: a just accusation that Democrats are socialists, and that to support us is to personally become the vector of socialism.  It’s George McGovern all over again.

Meanwhile, the Venezuelan situation provides a vivid example of how big disaster socialism can be. At the end of the SOTU speech, Trump did what he’s going to be doing a lot- pointing to Bernie Sanders in silence, looking horrified, waiting for the people to become so disgusted they can’t take it and vote against their interests. Policy be damned, they will say. Look at that blue clown suit. I would rather burn than have that guy as my president.

The claim that we Democrats are going to turn America into a Venezuelan socialist hellscape looks like something new, but as every reader of this blog will be aware, they’ve been laying the groundwork for it for the last several years. Contrary to Trump’s new narrative, the Democratic Party has never embraced Bernie Sanders. We do share some policies, but he goes too far with them and makes them look ridiculous. Now he’s got AOC there with him, screaming for seventy percent income tax rates on the rich and protesting Nancy Pelosi over climate change.

In the meantime, Tulsi Gabbard got involved as well, protesting Trump’s decision to condemn Maduro, which is about the one thing he has ever done right.

On both extremes of the political spectrum, everyone and everything they have is engaged in making the Democratic Party appear to be tilting left, at just the right moment for Trump.

“It seems to me that DJT has zero interest in expanding his coalition, and is going all-in on making the Democratic alternative unpalatable, hence the focus on opposing ‘socialism,’ ” the Republican strategist Michael Steel, a former senior adviser to the House G.O.P. leadership, told the New Yorker’s Susan B. Glasser in an e-mail the morning after the speech.

The entire Trump era, in many ways, feels like a return to the days of Richard Nixon. Parallels abound in terms of personnel, power, and politics. Perhaps above all else, a feeling that a growing extremity is pervading our country and reaching a dangerous level is strongly troubling American consciousness. It feels like chaos is everywhere. In such circumstances, history has shown that just about anything can happen.

One wonders if that isn’t the socialistic schemers’ whole point.

Cold War-era divisions have emerged along the same old lines as always. Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro is backed by Russia, China, and Cuba, which don’t want to lose an ally in the region. He has accepted billions in Russian and Chinese aid as his country’s economy  has exploded, and is now deeply indebted to some guys that are even worse than him. The Russian government has said it is considering installing an airbase in Venezuela, and there’s no doubt at all he’d let them do it. One wonders how Trump’s tough talk on Venezuela will jive with this desire of his boss. It’s one thing to stand up to a pack of screaming wingnuts, Donald. Try standing up to Putin for a change, why don’t you.

The Venezuelan situation, complete with right-wing exiles now involved in the political scene of Miami, brings us back to the good old days of international rancor over Latin American populist revolutions. One of the standard tropes of the Nixon era was the constant trouble over the Cuban Revolution, an event which saw its sixty-year anniversary pass by last month.

In that troubled time, revolutionary leader Fidel Castro managed with the help of the famous Che Guevara to overthrow the unpopular strongman Fulgencio Batista. Having done it, he went on to construct what he promised would be a more egalitarian Cuban regime. Soon after, he made sure to announce formally what U.S. military leaders and top officials had long known anyway- that this regime would be a communist one.

In a televised address not long after, Castro declared, “I am a Marxist-Leninist and shall be one until the end of my life.” He went on to state that, “Marxism or scientific socialism has become the revolutionary movement of the working class.”

The American right was empowered by that enough to justify decades worth of grotesque savagery. Shadows of doubt will always loom over the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

It’s important to note what Castro said there about socialism, “scientific” or otherwise. True communism, as envisioned conceptually by Karl Marx, is very different from the centralized socialism that grew into fruition in places like Cuba and the Soviet Union. The idea was to give over national resources to the working class, to be administered in some unknown way, at which point these completely unprepared and unsuspecting people are sent off to go to town creating a utopia (the Greek word for “nowhere”).

No one knows what that utopia might have looked like since it never happened.

What did happen was socialism, meaning that the State took ownership of absolutely everything and set about instantly setting itself up as the sole power in the land, choosing for everyone what they would have and not have, and creating a new type of elite based on party loyalty and bureaucratic efficiency. One tiny central hub, e.g. Moscow, controls every scrap of land and enjoys total autonomy within it. Every evidence shows this practice to have caused an unreal amount of human misery everywhere it has been tried; for example, China locked an entire ethnic population, the Uighurs, more than a million deep into labor camps last fall. This is not a dream.

Then as now, and in those countries as in Venezuela, the whole sloppy mess was a disaster. It starved five million people to death in the first five years of Vladimir Lenin’s reign when the Soviet Union was born. It was not well thought out, to try and apply a political theory off the pages of a book to actual human society. Socialism is something to be avoided completely and utterly, and Americans are aware of it. It is one thing we were taught in school that is all but inarguably true- not that this stops certain people from arguing it anyway.

All this history lessoning aside, we can all see what’s going on here. Trump is making a big show out of his sudden anti-socialism posture, but actually, it’s disingenuous in the extreme for him to do so. He has subscribed all along to the usual American far-right strategy, which is to consider liberals the true enemy, not communists or socialists.

This is why Trump sided with Bernie Sanders in 2016. Instead of saying at that time, Socialism is a disaster and we should all come together on this, he chose to court a bromance with the Bern and reviled us for “stealing” the election from the man Hillary Clinton beat by nearly four million votes. His base has oft-repeated this slanderous claim.

Trump waited until Nancy Pelosi gave him permission to give the 2019 SOTU before he would finally go after the fake left. We’ve been here cleaning house the whole time, and he wants to co-opt all the hard work we Democrats have done. He thinks it’s the right time to cash in. But long before the day this started, the right has done all it can to empower and incite the socialists because they know it will make things harder for us. They want Ocasio-Cortez to be the face of our Party more than anything.

Now they’ve got their Goldstein, in the 1984 scenario.

In reality, of course, Democrats are the ones on the front lines of the struggle against socialism. The reason for this is simple. American democracy is the only pillar in the world still holding up the idea of human freedom, and it’s under attack from every angle. The only people in the world who are here to protect it are us, Democrats. When the Proud Boys and Antifa come in masks, to brawl in the streets and smash windows out, we’re the ones who break it up and send them all home or to jail.

The far right uses the far left to manipulate the public all the time. That’s what agent provocateurs are for. That’s what the Nixon era taught us, and it’s why we need to be so careful now.

It’s important to realize that this could have deep implications for us. Florida is one of the most key of all the swing states, as anyone who remembers the 2000 presidential race was stolen from Al Gore can tell you. The political scale there is so evenly weighted that percentages involving tenths of a percent are often what decide its elections.

For Trump to gain support from the Venezuelan emigre community of Miami at this time would be extremely bad for our chances in 2020. He is hitting a lick off posturing as anti-socialist, but he did the opposite in 2016. Going forward, it will be incumbent upon us to raise awareness on this. Trump is a Johnny-come-lately at this game. He’s really just a poser.

In the last analysis, the thing to remember is this: Trump has not stood for democracy or its institutions at all. The World Economic Forum no longer considers America to be a full democracy, because of him. MAGA hats have become like armbands worn by Nazis, and Trump is the white power symbol successor of Hitler. It’s worth reminding the world that fascism came from socialism. It was the branch of it designed by Mussolini. The alt left and the far right is exactly the same entity.

“The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves,” said Vladimir Lenin a hundred years ago.

Here at Millennial Democrats, we refuse to accept a false equivalency. We equally reject the totalitarian nightmares that arise both from fascism and socialism, and from that posture, we call not only for the resignation of the disgraced dictator Nicholas Maduro.

We call with equal lungpower for the resignation of the disgraced dictator Donald Trump.

Bombs Sent to Democratic Leaders- Fascism Rising in America.

Fascism is on the rise in the Trump era.

Despicable cowards tried to murder all our greatest Democratic leaders today.

Having typed that sentence, I could finish the article here. Sometimes the facts argue themselves; that sentence and a headline tell you all you need to know about this whole situation, something the whole nation ought to be outraged about.

Pipe bombs were sent to Hillary Clinton in New York and Barack Obama in Washington.

A similar device was sent to philanthropist and lifelong enemy of fascism George Soros, according to the pair of law officers who gave the statement. How rotten, to do a thing like this to that old man, a man who lost his parents to the Holocaust.

Way to pay back a guy for his lifetime of good works by making him the center of a million nutty theories(for example, we do not write for Soros, no matter how many times we are reviled for it) and then sending him a bomb. We are living in a country full of real sickos. That much has become all too clear.

More bombs were sent to CNN, forcing the evacuation of its NYC offices. CNN journalists courageously kept the cameras rolling from the Manhattan sidewalk below.

Bombs were also sent to Eric Holder, former Obama administration Attorney General, former CIA director James Brennan, former DNC chairman and Floridian Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida, and Representative Maxine Waters all received bombs as well. If the guy who did it would not have been such a slob, we’d have lost all our leaders today.

This newest violence is the response to Trump’s big “I’m a (white) nationalist” crap the other day. He’s been doing this all along.

Donald Trump has been inciting his followers to violence for years. He smirked during the debates as he made reference to the Second Amendment, and how “maybe there is something you can do,” a clear incitement to political assassination!

The GOP statement deploring violence is just another sickening deplorable lie. It makes no sense to believe them. The right wing wants us dead. They’ve been out for physical, literal blood for years, at least since Barack Obama’s election.

They will never, ever forgive the people who dared to put a black man in a White House.

Recently the founder of a right-wing gang with a name that does not merit mention came out with a video inciting Trump supporters to violence. “We will kill you,” he says in the video segment, which went viral. Murdering swine.

The first article this blog ever published was called Chaos in Charlottesville, written in response to the sickening lowlife who murdered Heather Heyer, a disgusting footnote to the modern era- like these bombs. Or James T. Hodgkinson, the wingnut Bernie Sanders supporter who shot up the Congress last year.

Here we could care less if you’re wearing a red shirt or a black one. We are against all those who hide behind masks to go smash things up. It’s not the American way to bash brains in on the streets instead of voting. Foreign radicalism has never taken deep root here, which means socialism, communism, and most of all fascism- until now.

Make no mistake. These days, fascism is rearing its head. “We will kill you…”

It is our opinion that people should stop taking the survival of American democracy for granted.

We are not invincible. It can happen here, “it” meaning a fascist takeover. Trump, to all appearances, is actively signaling “it”, and his followers are preparing for it. And they are making progress like no right-wing nationalist has since Adolf Hitler.

We have got to get people to realize that we have got to wake up now, or we could end up flat on our backs for the rest of our lives- or worse.

If Nazi Germany was reborn today on American soil, it would be us all to suffer.

Some as members of unwanted groups, some as political prisoners. Some of us would go to American style Dachau type camps, while others will be forced into silence or shot. They would take all our data off of Facebook and use it to round us up. These things have happened elsewhere. It is time to ask ourselves the question, What if?

The Republicans have been gradually going down this road for more than a hundred years. Why should we assume it’s impossible for them to succeed? The Founding Fathers feared this above all else- the evils of faction, shredding a nation’s fiber.

Here at Millennial Democrats, we’ve been covering all this since the start. We have seen this develop, we have spoken out at every turn. We will be here as long as we can, spreading the word and raising awareness.

This is our country, which we value and love. We will not abandon her.

Russians And Republicans- A Match Made In Helsinki.

Donkey Punch.

It has been an interesting week for America, but not a good one. Trump sold us out for Putin on Monday in Helsinki and it’s all gone downhill from there. Things have come to quite a pass when it’s okay in the president’s eyes for American citizens to be sent to Russia for “questioning”.

Trump slobbered on Putin Monday. There is just no other fitting word. He was justly criticized for this all day on Monday, by Democrats and also many Republicans.

On Tuesday he appeared to change his mind.

But then on Wednesday, he said he was considering Vladimir Putin’s offer to take people like Bill Browder- one of the architects of the sanctions against Russia in the Magnitsky Act- hostage, in return for their assistance with the Mueller probe.

And on Thursday he invited Putin over here to hang out.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that Trump will discuss allowing Russian investigators to come to the United States to question U.S. citizens, including Browder, a prominent Putin critic who is the former American ambassador to Russia.

That did not go over well.

Trump backed down and punked out, of course, and now says that he “disagrees” with Putin’s proposal. But the fact that he spent ten seconds on considering it confirms the very worst things ever said about him. And on Thursday he invited Putin to Washington, D.C.

How much more is it going to take? Probably more crap than even the Russians have got! Republicans are in love with Russia now. The number of them who view Russia in a positive light has more than doubled, according to recent statistics.

Ronald Reagan is rolling right over in his grave. He’s headbanging and moshing down there.

Democratic Sens. Robert Menendez (N.J.) and Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), as well as Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), introduced a resolution to stop such a thing from ever happening, a resolution which was voted on and confirmed by the Senate.

They voted overwhelmingly against letting that ever happen, by a vote of 98-0. Even Bernie Sanders voted against Russia this time.

“A resolution is the minimum we can do,” said Schumer in a statement Friday. “Our colleagues on the other side of the aisle are so cowered by a president that they cannot stand up for national security. They cannot stand up to Vladimir Putin, just as the president seems not to be able to.”

That is exactly right, but try telling this to his devotees.

They said Trump was right on Monday when he was defending his groveling behavior during the Helsinki Treason Summit. But they also said he was right once he backed down off it the next day, citing a whole new set of nonsense reasons. Finally, he invited Putin to come over to America and hang out.

Frankly, it’s disgusting that such a vote ever had to be taken. It’s sickening to the core.

Post-truth is pre-fascist, and that’s what we’re running into right now. Fascism has reared its ugly head.

Hitler and Stalin would be mighty proud, and many of the enemy’s participants in this conflict are aware of that and proud of it themselves.

It should not be forgotten that during the World Cup last week, while Putin was playing the genial host and offering visa-free entry into Russia for all the soccer fans, the dictatorship that Putin has created remained every bit as brutal as ever.

The only ones in Russia to make any sort of a meaningful statement was the band Pussy Riot, who have demonstrated their bravery in the face of this authoritarian state before.

They dressed up like police and rushed onto the field, pell-mell.

It was great.

Pussy Riot listed several demands as part of its World Cup action, including the release of all political prisoners in Russia, not locking people up for things “Liked” or “Posted” on social media, stopping illegal arrests during rallies. They also brought up Putin’s not allowing political competition in the country.

While they were being arrested, one police officer went up to them and said, “You shit all over Russia, yes? Too bad it isn’t 1937!”

That is a reference to the Red Purge, in which Josef Stalin killed untold multitudes of his own people as dissidents and “thought criminals”. The true number of victims can never be known, but the estimates range in the tens of millions.

That is what Donald Trump was talking about letting them do to us. And the way things have been going, it cannot be doubted that many Republicans would already be glad to acquiesce as well.

Any “policeman” who yearns for that as the good old days should be in prison, not putting others there. It really says it all about what we are up against. And regardless of that cop’s thuggish remark, on Tuesday, Pussy Riot defeated Russia, in the European Court of Human Rights.

At Millennial Democrats, we stand in solidarity with all people everywhere who are being suppressed illegally. One day, we will see a better world. In the meantime, we’ll be right here, working for the good health of this one.

America has heard the voice of treason loud and clear, and while Republicans waffled, Democrats responded forcefully. The day must never come when political prisoners in America can be sent to a Russian gulag. Those who understand that will understand the need for a strong Blue Wave.

The Failure of Socialism- Bernie’s Legacy.

The Failure of Socialism- Bernie's Legacy.

Contrary to the ongoing narrative regarding the politics of our millennial generation in the media, not all millennials are in for socialism, or Bernie Sanders. Most of us are not. That narrative might have had some truth to it, once upon a time, but not anymore. Millennials have learned.

Hard and painful experience has taught us not to invest in a gambler, or his roulette table.

Since the upset victory of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over New York Democrat Joe Crowley last month, there has been a lot of talk about this, and most of it has revolved around the question of socialism. The concept has come to be notoriously misunderstood, and most of the reason why is thanks to Bernie Sanders.

The prime minister of Denmark said it best when he pointed out that Bernie did not understand socialism in the context of Denmark; he could have added any other context and been equally right. Bernie didn’t understand socialism at all.

The Nordic countries have excellent social services, which to be fair were adapted from socialist theory. Governmental regulation and social work are both taken seriously there. But their economies are free-market, which means that they are capitalist. Completely capitalist.

The only countries that can legitimately lay claim to being socialist are those countries that have fully planned, one-size-fits-all, Big-Brother-is-watching style economies. Like Venezuela.

The mixup comes from a confusion over two terms, Social Democracy and Democratic Socialism. They sound a lot alike, but that is where the similarity dies.

Tempering the harshness of laissez-faire capitalism has been a good thing for the world, and is known as Social Democracy. Every civilized country, including the United States and Sweden, uses a type of social democracy to govern its people.

Bernie switched around the order of the words and called it Democratic Socialism. No one knows why Sanders insists on using that term, but in our opinion, it’s because he enjoys getting the attention that comes with being contrary and starting arguments all the time.

People have been going around repeating it ever since he first began, but in fact, the phrase doesn’t even have a precise meaning. Thirty seconds worth of using Google is enough to tell you that.

Socialism has been floating around for 188 years, since 1830, and not once in that time has it led to a successful society. Aspects of it have been implemented in normal societies and its influence in putting the social welfare of workers on the agenda is important.

As an overall idea, though, it has been a disaster, as nearly every country to have tried it has ended up with the goose-step and the concentration camp.

Back when it was just an archaic, discredited system, I thought it was kind of neat. I used to think about it while jogging. It was kind of like a Sudoku puzzle for me.

Once people started to take it seriously again, though, I stopped musing and started figuring out how to explain the inescapable truth- that socialism is a disaster, completely incompatible with human freedom and dignity.

Why can’t we learn from all the times it failed? All the horrible revolutions that produced even worse regimes? The thousands who had to die because of someone who wanted to apply ideas from a political theory to the real world?

Mark Perry, the creator of the popular economics blog Carpe Diem, referred to socialism in 1995 as “The Big Lie of the 20th century”. He reported in 2016 that he was shocked at its resurgence, such a short time after the fall of the Soviet Union, the so-called “Worker’s Paradise”.

“I perhaps assumed the failures of socialism were so apparent and obvious it would be forever considered only as a discredited system of the past, and never as a viable option going forward into the future!”

“Given the recent resurgence of socialism, especially as it is now being embraced by young Americans, I thought it might be a good time to review why socialism: a) failed in the 20th century, b) is failing in the 21st century (e.g. Venezuela, see photo above), and c) will always fail. And that’s because it’s a flawed system based on completely faulty principles that aren’t consistent with human behavior and can’t nurture the human spirit.”

This has always been the case. People are people. And while the socialists do join us in believing society can do better in many areas than it is doing now, the transcendental human change required as a prerequisite for socialism shows no sign of taking place next week.

Socialism does not mean Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. It only begins there. It ends with Hitler and Stalin. Going forward, we’ve got to raise awareness about this until people understand. Socialism is a universal failure.

Thebalance.com did a piece called “Socialism and its Characteristics”, telling us that there are eight types of socialism, but really, the distinctions are semantical. There is only one type of socialism. The evil kind.

Tillerson Gone, Russia Probe Over- Thoughts on our Political Landscape.

I think Rex will be much happier now.
Hello, world, from Millennial Democrats! Today a number of millennial observations have been collected and given a voice about what is going on right now in America. We wanted to know how people are feeling about the Republican decision to end their congressional probe relating to Russian meddling into our election in 2016. So we asked around and asked for some opinions.
As always, the opinions expressed therein are not necessarily the views of the organization as a whole.
The Republican congressional panel had barely finished announcing that it had found no evidence of collusion between President Trump’s campaign and the Kremlin during the 2016 election before the Russian embassy was on Twitter boasting about it.
One Millennial Democrats contributor said to another, A lot of this posturing is all because Putin is up for reelection. The response was, “Lol, what election? You mean that day that people go out in the streets and move around randomly in Russia?”
Yeah. In other news, Rex Tillerson has been sacked as Secretary of State, replaced by CIA director Mike Pompeo.
“I think Rex will be much happier now,” Trump said, hilariously.
That makes five top Trump administration officials to have resigned or been fired, in the last two weeks. It’s absolute chaos in there. Trump’s entire circle is in total meltdown.
Director of the National Economic Council Gary Cohn, who was Trump’s top economic adviser, resigned from the White House last week after a dispute over new tariffs on steel and aluminum.
Hope Hicks, Trump’s communications director and longtime confidante, resigned late last month.
Trump’s longtime personal aide John McEntee was fired and escorted from the White House on Monday, sources tell CNN.
And Josh Raffel, a senior spokesman who worked extensively with Trump’s daughter and senior adviser Ivanka Trump, left the White House last month.
In other news, the GOP, as the majority party in the House of Representatives, has shut down their probe into the Russian interference into our election. Tom Rooney(R-Fla.) came out right away in condemnation of this, saying “We have lost all credibility”, but only now that it’s safe. They came in, hit their lick on the tax cut, and bounced.
This is what has come of all the shouting for revolution that far-left extremists did in the last few years of the Obama administration. People really need to understand that progress can be slow. When you try to force it, you end up creating chaos instead.
To not vote, or to in a close election vote for the long shot and throw away that vote, is reckless and stupid in the most extreme senses of the word. Let’s make sure to cover this point thoroughly.
Never vote for pure evil like Trump by abstaining. We must vote smart.
One of our contributors had a conversation with a self-proclaimed anarchist the other day.
“Oh, all governments are fascist. It’s all just levels of fascism, blah blah blah.”
That’s what you call a cop-out. It’s a way to get around taking sides because you’re afraid of the intensity people bring to the political table. If you are not capable of seeing the difference between the U.S. and Russia, it is because you have never really suffered.
The political fulcrum of America is swinging back left again, but it will not help if the youth of the country allow themselves to be hornswoggled. Particularly in 2016, a great many on the far left ended up walking down a path of smarmy arrogance without a clue as to what they were truly up against.
By not voting, and by helping to spread around the pernicious myth that our votes don’t matter, they’re giving up the only power we have. If votes do not matter, then why do Republicans spend so much money every year to keep us from using them?
It would be nice if extremists on both sides of the aisle took a step back to really look at what they are doing.  Realistically speaking, though, it’s only on the left that there’s any chance of this happening. It’s time to make a choice. There’s not going to be a free college Utopia. There will either be a democracy or a fascist theocracy.
A fascist theocracy is nothing but a form of chaos. It’s a gigantic step backward for mankind. It reduces us once again to tribalism, controlled by a Mafia-type structure of feudalism. And all feudalism is, is an endless war. Hence the meaning of the word “feud” to describe a long-running conflict without end.
It would essentially mean a return to the tribal State of Nature. It’s hard to understand why anyone would want that, but there it is.
At the end of the day, there’s no place like Switzerland. Your rights to neutrality will not be respected. The decision will get made for you. You can side with order, or you can side with chaos. The latter is a really bad idea.

How Libertarians Devour Liberty-Net Neutrality and Other Civic Losses.

A Predator at bay

Net neutrality died this week, but we knew that was coming. It’s a sad state of affairs when five people out of 300 million get to make a decision for all. No accountability.

The man responsible is FCC chairman Ajit Pai, a lifelong and sworn libertarian. We’ve been hearing about all kinds of problems with the adherents of libertarianism as of late, and in this piece, we’ll be looking at why.

Libertarianism.org defines a libertarian as “a person who believes that liberty is the core political value of modern civilization itself, the one that gives substance and form to all the other values of social life.”

There is a rather extreme form of heartlessness hiding behind that high and lofty statement. We have been seeing it more and more in recent years.

When most people think of the Libertarian Party, they think of the dimwitted Gary Johnson inquiring what a Leppo is, on television.

Unfortunately, the people who are really in charge of this are neither dimwitted nor incompetent. They’re actually some of the most ruthless people in the world, in the opinion of Millennial Democrats. Their names are Charles and David Koch, and we have come to know them very well. They’ve got a plan.

If they can remove objectivity from the value system of the country, if they can make it so that people get desensitized and stop listening, then little by little, they can start bringing back the status quo. Graft, big bosses, and corruption. The good old days.
If only our leaders would just chill, and be cool!! It really all comes down to that. Don’t be thirsty! Just be decent. You’ll do fine. Same thing with the law. Be decent. Treat other people good. Do the best you can. When you encounter others, be a human being about it. That is the true nature of the Good Shepherd.
Our current administration and the powers that combined to create it are so far removed from that benevolent ideal that it has led to all sorts of wild speculations over the years. One looks at the likes of H.W. Bush or Vladimir Putin, and shivers at the thought of Reptilian overlords, lurking about the bowels of Earth.
Unregulated capitalism has proven itself unfit to govern because it has proven incapable of caring for all the members of its populace. In order for a given state to prosper and stay healthy as a whole, a healthy environment for all of its members is a prerequisite. The word liberty is supposed to mean every member’s freedom to participate in and help maintain that environment.
But when and where that is not what liberty means- when it is allowed to mean rather the right of the individual to monopolize resources to the detriment of society by and large- then it is the duty of thinking people to speak out against it. It is a perversion of the ideal we value as liberty.
Where did this perversion come from? What are its roots? And how do we get rid of it? These are the answers our whole system depends on us finding.
In December of 1971, like today, there were a lot of things going on to help give someone agita. It was chaos and confusion everywhere you looked. There was a world’s worth of reasons for this, of course, but Richard Nixon’s being a maniac was arguably the biggest.
This was a primary impetus behind the forming of the Libertarian Party at that time.
The 1960s and ’70s were a time of building groups and having arguments, meant to hammer out what it meant to be a libertarian.
The Institute for Humane Studies was founded in the early 1960s by a former Cornell economics professor to recruit college students and would-be academics. The founder, F.A. Harper, was an important intellectual mentor to Charles Koch, who became a major donor to the group.
It’s been a long fight against these people. Both Charles Koch and his father Fred were active members of the radical right-wing John Birch Society. During its active campaigns against the civil rights movement in the 1960’s they wound up on the wrong side of history every time. In fact, they seem to have set up shop there.
Charles Koch formally resigned from the JBS in 1968. But a number of its core philosophies continue to animate a number of his keystone policy decisions decades later.
The echoes of his past role reverberate in what we’ve come to know as the “Tea Party”, a far-right organization staffed with Birchers of decades past who contend their self-interest against all reasoning. Donald Trump was far from their first choice, but he was a natural outgrowth of these policies.
However, we should not make the mistake of considering libertarian viewpoint and influence from the conservative right alone.  On issues such as economic regulation, public spending, and taxes, libertarians tend to roll with the conservative right. On other issues, such as gay marriage and drug legalization, they find more common ground with the progressive left.
Notice that absolutely nowhere are there any issues on which libertarians align with the center.
Why is this? Politically, liberals are for regulating business and giving more benefits to the middle class and poor. If these things are removed, then there is nothing in the way to stop corporate fascism. This is not a hypothesis; it actually came very close to happening, in a coup d’etat planned out against Franklin Roosevelt’s government by prominent American businessmen as recently as 1934.
Money was funnelled through a pipeline assembled by W. Prescott Bush, father of George H.W. Bush, through the law firm he worked for, the Union Banking Corporation, and through them to Adolf Hitler. Domestically its purpose was to establish a fascist dictatorship in the United States, complete with concentration camps for “Jews and other undesirables.”
The plot was averted in the end. But FDR was never able to bring any of the plotters to justice. They simply had too much money and too much power. He wasn’t even able to rein in Prescott Bush until 1942 when the government seized the assets of Bush’s pro-Nazi enterprises.
The fascist mindset of libertarianism has never gone away. It never conceded defeat to the civil rights movement. It remains the driving force behind attacks on even what minimal safety nets we do have, such as worker’s unions.
The plotters, such as J.P. Morgan and Chase, the Mellons, Rockefellers, and DuPont’s never changed their goal. They simply morphed into a cabal of foundations who exist for one sole purpose- to either control or neuter progressive grassroots efforts. It’s still the same old struggle.
As this article drew toward completion, news broke across America that our president is considering the firing of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, in his throes of desperation to get out from under Russiagate. If that were to happen, it would drag us through the threshold of fascism. The time to take to the streets may really come. If and when it does, we will be ready.

From Dictatorship to Democracy- Civil Disobedience For Dummies.

At home and abroad, in every conceivable way, Donald Trump’s eleven-month-old tenure in office has proven the worst shock the global order has received since 1945. His arrogance and narcissism are destabilizing the world, and other nations are being forced to take measures of caution. It stands to reason for us to do the same.

“Germany can no longer simply react to U.S. policy but must establish its own position…even after Trump leaves the White House, relations with the U.S. will never be the same.”

Those are the words of Germany’s top diplomat, informing the United States that they no longer see us as the allies we once were, saying that leadership from President Donald Trump has led Europe on a path toward nuclear war, a statement with which it is hard to argue.

The Middle East is in pandemonium thanks to his apparently random decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Palestine rose up instantly and declared three Days of Rage. And all humans everywhere looked upon their media devices in total and complete bewilderment.

After that prelude, there’s not much to add as to why it’s time to have this conversation. Martin Luther King said that we have a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. Perhaps that will suffice.

The Founding Fathers built us a system that was designed specifically to resist totalitarianism, and it has given to us as citizens every advantage we enjoy. But it has been severely tested in recent years. Things aren’t going to manage themselves.
If we don’t want to see America become a dictatorship, we are going to have to fight for its democracy.
People were picked out at random for the uproar surrounding the Trump Tower protests on Inauguration Day last year. They are now facing sixty years in prison apiece, for minor acts of vandalism that nobody saw them commit.
It even apologized to the public for a statement made on November 18 of last year that it would “work with President-elect Trump” and his transition team.
“We understand that content from these press releases, including the 11/18/16 release that was posted in error, was interpreted as capitulating to and normalizing the incoming administration.” They realize now that is impossible.

This is going to cost a tremendous amount of time and money for them. It’s the most serious decision they could make. There is every reason to take heed and follow their example.

If you’re against Trump, and you don’t intend to shut up about it, then you are at risk in this country right now.

We are therefore going to be taking a close look at some of the most time-honoured and effective ways to keep the resistance and ourselves alive and healthy.

Especially for us millennials, who were not around during the big protests of the 60’s and 70’s, this information is critical. We’ve got to understand and master these techniques as soon as possible.

One crucial point to note is that showing up at large public protests like Charlottesville has become very dangerous.
We will never allow this crucial practice to be taken from us. But we have got to exercise the utmost caution when we use it. We’ve got to keep ourselves under control, and we’ve got to keep the moral high ground. The other guys are playing for keeps, and they’ve got all the guns.
Nonviolence is the only chance we have.
In keeping with this line of thought, we’re going to familiarize ourselves with political theorist and sociologist Gene Sharp’s From Dictatorship to Democracy.
This manual includes nearly 200 “Methods of Nonviolent Actions.” This is a comprehensive guide to tactics and strategies that have proven effective in transforming regimes more oppressive than the current US one.
There are five primary types of nonviolent resistance outlined in the manual. Protest and persuasion, social noncooperation, economic noncooperation, political noncooperation, and nonviolent intervention.
Protest and persuasion most commonly manifest under the category Sharp calls Formal Statements, e.g. public speeches or mass petitions. Martin Luther King and many others changed the world with their speeches. And petitions have been a way for the people to express their will for hundreds of years.
More recently, six days after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting left twenty six dead in 2012, President Obama responded directly to 33 petitions related to gun control laws.
Social noncooperation refers to ostracism strategies such as the social boycott levied against alleged child molester and Alabama Senatorial candidate Roy Moore recently.
Economic noncooperation involves two primary methods; the boycott, and the strike.
The boycott is an organized, large scale ban that forbids the purchasing of goods from the offending company. Earlier this year other members of the resistance against Trump organized an effort to boycott the department store chain Nordstrom’s because they were carrying Ivanka Trump’s shoe brands. Not long after, off the shelves they went.
A strike is a refusal to work. A body of fed up employees organize various tactics by way of protest, typically in an attempt to gain a concession or concessions from their employer.
Unions use strikes and other collective action as a bargaining chip to force employers to raise wages. This is why union workers get paid about 22 percent more than non-unionized workers.
People like the Koch Brothers have spent massive amounts of time and money to neutralize this power. They do this because they know they are guaranteed a massive return on their investment if they can forever break the backs of workers unions.
Next comes political noncooperation. One good example of this is the Rejection of Authority strategy. Many of us have made it clear right from Day One, without reservation, that Donald Trump is not our president. He has never been, and he will never be. So many of us feel that way that his presidency has been denormalized.
Lastly, nonviolent intervention is grouped into five subcategories. Psychological, physical, social, economic, and political. This category includes techniques such as the sit-in, or nonviolent land seizure. The latter method was employed by the American Indian Movement when they occupied Alcatraz in 1969.
All of the techniques we have outlined are the type of political activism we call direct action. They are still the biggest way to make a splash.
All of them are also extremely dangerous, and involve a great deal of personal risk. World-renowned journalist Anna Politovskaya was not murdered in Moscow for being a Hollywood blogger.
Virtual activism via the Internet has been invaluable as a way to keep our heads down, and pass through as much information as we can.
It is of great importance for us to do everything in our power to keep the opposition from knocking us offline and rendering us silent.
For this reason, we will also be developing a cursory familiarity with the two most basic and important ways to stay anonymous online.

These are known as the virtual private network, or VPN, and the Onion(Tor) Browser.

A VPN is a secure network connection through which you can safely connect your device to public networks, or create a secure channel for remote access control between computers.

TorProject.org gives the definition of the Tor Browser project as being “free software and an open network that helps you defend against traffic analysis, a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security.”

The best solution is to use VPN and Tor in conjunction.

Just log on through your VPN, and then do your stuff through Tor. It isn’t perfect, but it’s a whole lot better than nothing. As for chat, we have a first class (and free) encrypted chat program available to us in the app known as  Telegram.

Remember NOT to use Kaspersky’s antivirus, or anything Russian, under any circumstances.

The New York Times reported that Israel hacked Kaspersky and caught Russia using it to search for NSA exploits and other U.S. government classified programs.

We have not embarked upon this examination of civil disobedience lightly. Being the harbinger of awful news is not exactly pleasant. And most of us never really thought it could happen here. But we all read the words of the German Foreign Minister at the beginning of the article.  “West losing position.” “Things will never be the same.” “Nuclear war.” This is not mere alarmism.

We have no choice but to sorrowfully conclude that grievous misdeed on the part of the Trump administration cannot be ruled out, and that the threat to the foundations of our democracy is very real.

These events may well be the most fundamentally important of our entire generation. We do not intend to sit them out.

We are going to think of the situation in a fresh spirit, build on that new rhythm, and win through many different techniques. We are in the process of regrouping, and have full confidence. When we have finished, the #BlueWave we’ve been building will start gathering steam again. These are just a few bumps in the road to wash away.

The Koch Network- Enemies of Democracy Revealed.

When examining American political life today, the discussion has to include the Koch network. This conglomerate of groups covers a wide range of recent and radically conservative organizations, such as the infamous Tea Party movement. They have been responsible for a great deal of trouble in recent history as a result. It is therefore worth taking a close look at who they are, what they are doing, and why they are doing it.

Charles and David, the Koch brothers, are the sons of Frederick C. Koch, who co-founded Koch Industries. It has grown to be the second-largest privately held company in the United States, of which they own 84%. If their individual fortunes were combined in one place, they would likely represent the wealthiest person on earth.

They have used this gargantuan wealth to subjugate one of the two parties and subordinate it to an ultra-conservative and authoritarian agenda. They have spent a fortune on it. Most estimates show numbers of more than a billion dollars, every one of which proves the rise of the Tea Party movement was far from an accident. It was orchestrated, and it was well funded. It also had a deliberate aim: to destroy Washington’s ability to pay for its social programs, which would be to break Washington itself.

In this way, bothersome regulations passed down from the Teddy Roosevelt era could be smashed at last. Unions could have their backs broken, forever. The era of graft and corruption and big bosses could return with a police state to back it up. They tipped their hand when they used Wisconsin as a model, by creating the golem known as Scott Walker.

In short, the entire apparatus of American government itself, is to gradually be delivered, bound hand and foot, to the door of big capital, thereafter to act at its behest. Fascists are not against centralized authority per se, although they will make such a pretense if expedience requests it. They fight it because they are trying to gain control of it. It’s an exercise in reverse engineering. They want to strip it down to the core and reassemble it, to suit their laissez-faire agenda. The goal is as ugly as it is audacious.

Koch Industries was initially a company for refining crude oil, which has always played a big part in the Koch family fortune, dating back to the 1930’s. Fred Koch was one of its founding members. He was a founding member in another organization also- the John Birch Society.

The society was built on Fred Koch’s oil money in the 1950’s. It can fairly be considered the center of neo-conservative politics. Both the JBS and the Tea Party fit into this mold of liberalism being the root of all evil, mustrust and hostility toward persons of color and other groups of at-risk persons, and a deep seeded fear of change.

This value system, which is typified by racism, nationalism, and an ideologically devoid will to power, is the essence and spirit of fascism. So the question begs asking: when did Fred Koch become so attached to the ideas he passed on to his sons? Foreign radicalism is generally not thought to have taken deep root over here. But evidence now suggests that may not be the case at all.

One book, “The Kochs, A Nazi Past, Oil & The Foundation of The Rights,” by Damien Crisp, claimed that Fred C. Koch was both related to and involved with Hitler-era Nazis. Crisp made the statement that “Koch Industries is the child of the violence of Buchenwald.”

Information concerning the family backgrounds of Buchenwald commandant Karl and Ilse Koch is hard to find, and it should be noted that this claim is unproven. While there are fragments of information that suggestively connect the American and German Kochs, and although it gives a clear image of the sentiment behind the Tea Party and conservative American politics since the 1950s, the connection between the Buchenwald Kochs and Fred Koch is tenuous at best and should probably be discounted.

Democrats fight with honor, and have no need to rely on disinformation. That’s what the German Kochs were doing back then, and that’s what the American Kochs do now. The significance of this claim, lies rather in the fact that it’s so easy to believe and that its belief is prevalent.

If you have embarked down a course of conduct that makes you resemble those two monsters(Karl was executed by other Nazis for corruption, whilst Ilse, known best for her plan to make lampshades of the skins of tattooed Jewish prisoners, was the only woman charged for war crimes during WW2), closely enough so that millions of people would suspect to ask this question and believe the accusation true, it is the opinion of Millennial Democrats that you ought to cut it out.

However, although there is no solid evidence the American Fred Koch was related to Ilse’s family, there are ties to other Nazis named Koch that are far more solid. Erich Koch was a Nazi official placed in charge of Prussia in the days of Nazi Germany, who invited Fred Koch to sell his oil there. After the Nazi fall, Erich and Fred Koch expanded their oil empire to the Soviet Union. Erich Koch had been in charge of Prussia for Hitler, so his ties to the neighboring Soviet Union ran deep. However, a few years later, the Soviets purged some of his colleagues and prosecuted Erich for war crimes.

Fred Koch returned to the US as the most fervent anti-communist crusader one could imagine, and was allowed to do business in the States again. He hated Communism and Communists so much that he even expressed public admiration of Mussolini’s tactics against it. When he embraced this sort of thinking, he started down a road that led him to become a staunch opponent of civil rights. He grew more rigid as he grew older, and he passed both his grudge and his empire to the sons who have carried on his causes.

Since then, the brothers have attempted to impose this secretive agenda on the rest of America. Significant financial contributions by the fascist Koch network have been made to conservative, Libertarian, and Republican causes by way of effecting these changes. They pledged to spend $889 million from 2009–2016, and although the Citizens United ruling makes it impossible to say exactly how close they came, most specialists agree that this estimate is very low. The political infrastructure they have built has been said by Politico to rival that of the Republican National Committee.

Conveniently, the Koch brothers’ fervent commitment to libertarianism coincides precisely with their foremost, bottom-line interest: the elimination of government regulations aimed at containing toxic pollution and ozone-damaging emissions. Koch companies are spewing these everywhere. Around the country, around the clock.

It is no accident that Scott Pruitt ended up heading the EPA. It was one of the concessions made by Trump’s team to reconcile themselves with the Koch brothers, who were opposed to him all the way up until when it became inevitable he’d be the Republican candidate.

Nancy MacLean, the William H. Chafe Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University, recently published a  book, Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America, detailing the corrosive practices of the Koch network.

The New York Times said the book joined an emerging corpus of important work of scholars and journalists that was “documenting the systematic, organized effort to undermine democracy and change the rules.”

But it didn’t take long for the apparatus of the “radical right”, or what we now have come to think of as the alt-right, to to prepare a counterattack. The attacks came from the same individuals and institutions that the Duke University history professor documents in her book.

At some point, the Libertarians, particularly people who are part of the apparatus in one way or another — either academics or the think-tanks — weighed in, and did the same thing with my work as they have done with climate science,” says MacLean.

MacLean’s book charts the “radical right’s stealth plan” through the fortunes and influence of the late James M Buchanan, a pioneer of so-called economic “public choice theory” who was awarded a Nobel memorial prize in economics in 1986. For a look at his thinking process, we can look to the explanation given by Buchanan himself in a famous essay. By helping the unlucky, we cushion them against the consequences of their bad choices.

Luckily for no one, the dutiful Kochs are busy as can be even now, making sure to seek out and destroy every such cushion they can find.

Their most visible front is Americans for Prosperity, a conservative political advocacy group founded by David Koch. This branch comprises the ground forces of the Koch Network. They hold rallies in 34 states, they bus people into them, and they use them to exert pressure for their anti-government, anti-education Libertarian agenda. For example, Koch think tanks spend at least $19.4 million annually, to cripple the public school systems.

The Koch donor network has exploited Buchanan’s economic system to mutate the rules of American politics. This is exactly the sentiment voiced by Republicans of both branches of Congress who voted to strip away Obamacare.

“Get Obamacare repealed and replaced, get tax reform passed,” Doug Deason, one of the few known donors in the Koch network’s fundraising rolodex, told GOP leaders recently. “You control the Senate. You control the House. You have the presidency. There’s no reason you can’t get this done.”

Every new proposal the Republicans tried jamming through the Congress would have sorely punished people with preexisting medical conditions. They were perfectly aware of this, of course. Congressman Mo Brooks even touted it as a benefit in one CNN interview, stating that the new bill has the advantage of “reducing the cost to those people who lead good lives.” This is a pure application of James Buchanan. The term he used was “misguided Good Samaritanism”.

In the wake of America’s increasing disgust with Trump, the Koch brothers are currently enjoying a new level of ascendancy. The announcement last week by the Koch network that Vice President Mike Pence will be the keynote speaker at the brothers’ policy and political strategy meeting, set for October 12 and 13 in Manhattan, is a big sign.

Another sign was the placement of Americans for Prosperity president, Tim Phillips, just one seat from Trump at a White House dinner last week for conservative group leaders. Phillips has long been one of the Kochs’ top lieutenants. In announcing Pence’s appearance, top Koch aide James Davis crowed, “Pence truly understands how good policies can help all Americans improve their lives.”

Also notable was that the only Trump cabinet member at the dinner, seated across the long table from the president, was Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt. Pruitt, the former Attorney General of Oklahoma, has literally spent his entire life fighting the agency that he is now the head of. This appointment in particular embodies the Trump administration’s desire to turn over crucial environment and energy policy decisions to the collective fossil fuel and chemical industries of which the Kochs are bedrock members.

This donor network has been tremendously successful in the spreading of self-serving misinformation to elected officials. They’re doing it for banal reasons like the rights to save money dumping waste in local rivers. This is why climate change is a reality the oil moguls do not want to face.

The consequences of that policy are so far reaching and brutal in their effects, that they require most of the populace to be kept in a disgraceful state of ignorance. They can’t let us learn, because what they’re up to is so obvious, and they don’t really bother to hide it. They just counterattack with viciousness and lies. A people softened up by decades of misinformation coming from the Koch Brothers and others were lambs to the slaughter for disinformation coming from the Russians.

It’s a liberal tendency to assume that Republicans and the right wing media can’t possibly really believe its message, but there’s too much evidence that the contrary might be true. At the level of the populace, those who deliver and receive the message are being manipulated by their fears, for a profit so large that it’s hard to imagine: global domination in total. This reality has to be faced and fully realized before counter-efforts will prove effective.

The disastrous election of Donald Trump has had one good effect and one only- it has brought America’s people to the point where more and more people are recognizing the issue and acknowledging the problem. Women in particular are mobilizing like never before. We must all join their struggle, en masse and in dead earnest.

That is the only hope we have of taking back the reins of our democracy.

If the majority understood what they were doing, they would stop it. I think that’s a really powerful thing to know,” said MacLean.

They are doing all of this in the knowledge that they can’t win if they say openly what their end game is. If people work to patiently inform and activate the majority, then they could be stopped.”

Moving forward, our goal will be to do exactly that. We will spread the word every way we can. We will also be sure to avoid the past errors of excess and rage that awareness of these people and their garbage have caused in the past. It’s understandable to want to get back at people who are hurting you, but if in so doing, you strengthen their position, you are only making sure you get hurt some more.

We have learned from the lessons of Occupy. We won’t make those kinds of mistakes again. We will remain calm. We will acknowledge the existence of their propaganda tanks. We will drag them out into the light. We will refute both their pseudoscience and their petty lies.

We will learn to recognize their organizational structure and the techniques they have employed to subvert our democracy. They are like poison ivy, sucking life out of a grand old oak tree. The record shows that clearly. We will just have to highlight it. Most importantly of all, we will continue to provide better alternatives to their unkind and ungenerous schemes. America is strong, because America is kind. The strong are always kind. We can do better than Charles and David Koch.
