Dear Facebook, Please Stop Suppressing Loyal Americans.

Dear Facebook, Please stop suppressing loyal Americans.

Facebook is a real hellhole, these days. I suppose it always has been; after all, we’ve been going through this now since 2016 and before. The first time we wrote an article chronicling our electronic woes, we called it Fake News and Facebook, and that was in 2017. But lately, things have gotten even worse. Far worse.

Democrats are being systematically targeted, taken out, suppressed, silenced, deactivated, unpublished, and erased, on Facebook. Trump recently hauled him in to express preposterous concerns as to whether or not they’ve been suppressing conservative speech, which was, in my opinion, a smokescreen to distract from the true situation, a classic case of Freudian projection. The list of miseries they have caused us recently is endless. This article could be written until the end of time.

This is why recently grilled Mark Zuckerberg (who ludicrously claimed Facebook can help the news business recently- perhaps he means by lighting it on fire? The world may never know) was threatened by the House of Representatives that we might just break up his company for him if he does not toe the line.

Is it our opinion that Facebook should be smashed to bits and scattered to the Four Winds? No. We need it to reach people, but something must be done. If you’re asking us, should it be taken away from Zuckerberg and his cronies, like Dustin Moskowitz who gave the staggering sum of $1.25 million to the fake leftist organization that crowned and created Bernie Sanders?

You better believe it!

Facebook and Zuckerberg pose an existential threat to free speech. The way they have callously sold our data, the way they did nothing in 2016 to warn us that Russia, an enemy country, was attacking our presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and their flagrant, everyday abuse of the brave Democratic activists who have led the Resistance against Donald Trump- All of it represents an undermining of American democracy on a level never even approached by Bill Gates and Microsoft (although Linux is better than Windows:) back in the day, and look at what was done to them! If Microsoft deserved it, Facebook deserves it a hundred times more. A thousand, ten thousand times more. The number is infinite, really.

This guy Zuckerberg- who I genuinely hope reads this article-has earned being removed from the situation if anyone ever did. Look at the epic slither he tossed out as a slick when Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (who is pretty good at grilling these guys, even if she does hang around with the closeted right-wing group the Justice Democrats) asked him (in essence) why in the hell has Fox News’s Tucker Carlson’s company The Daily Caller been chosen to check these facts?

“We actually don’t appoint the independent fact-checkers, they go through an independent organization called the Independent Fact-Checking Network that has a rigorous (LOL!~) standard for who they allow to serve as a fact-checker.”

That is false. Media Matters of America informs us that “Facebook requires its partners to be accredited by the organization, which is actually called the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), but it is Facebook, not IFCN, who decides which organizations Facebook uses in its fact-checking project.”

Actually, it’s not even a slither, since slithering implies evasion or omission rather than a flat out lie. This IS a flat out lie. A major American figure, one who should be an icon of free speech, lying on behalf of the Russians and the fascist American right. How utterly disgusting. How banal.

In her fundamental work The Origins of Totalitarianism, legendary political theorist Hannah Arendt coined an interesting phrase to describe an interesting tendency; the “banality of evil”. She was observing the pettiness of mankind’s cruelty to man in the realm of a dictator. The small petty ugliness of evil, the evil of cheap shots and Blockfuhrers. The thug classes and discriminatory neo-Jim Crow laws one will find in a failing democracy. One particular evil always comes in the form of information suppression. State TV like Fox News is a top indicator.

The first time I actually saw banal evil, it was when a Wal-Mart opened up in Taos, New Mexico and killed half the small businesses in town, more than two hundred of them. I resolved to fight and began to raise awareness just as I do now, and again, like now with Facebook, it was very hard to get anyone to listen.

One guy I met sort of cocked his eyebrow suspiciously at me, and said, “You high, man?” As it worked out I was not. But perhaps I might as well have been. For all our struggles, the next year they opened a Super Walmart, and all the rest of the town’s little Mom and Pop stores followed the dinosaurs and Pat Buchanan down the path to forgotten oblivion.

This time, I will not give up so easily, and neither will any other online Democratic activist. Yet our arsenal is not enough alone. We are asking for your help, America. Facebook is trying to shut us down.

This is happening to every group of Democrats on Facebook.

Why are we being forbidden to speak out for our country? There’s no rule saying that, of course, but half of our Pages at least, more than fifty of them, have been shadowbanned and unpublished over the years, and more than ever recently. It’s clear we’ve got stalkers, trained personnel who know how to use the Report as Spam/Abuse button as weapons. Presumably they’re the same people who are trying to hack my blog here all day long. I have had some of the best hackers in the world try to hack me lately, like this guy Alin Stefanescu, head of the University of Bucharest’s computer science department.

One of my many teachers-and the hacker trying to ruin me.

This is Alin Stefanescu. One of my many teachers-and one more hacker trying to ruin me.

Wow, I thought. Just- wow. He's got an entire university department to run, and still he finds the time to pile attacks on little ol' me.
This is the WHOIS registry’s information on the IP address that had hacked us most recently. Other than this, I have no relationship with the crude and thuggish Stefanescu, friend and servant of dictators.

Romania is known for the skill of its hackers and the school he works at is considered their best. That means that the top information technology expert in Romania has been trying personally to take me out.

God, how creepy.

It’s not possible to see who’s been falsely reporting you and stalking your Facebook. But common sense is enough to let you know, if they’re here, they’re there.

There are only three major social media sites in America. Twitter comes in at third place with around three hundred million members; roughly the population of our proud country. We just launched Twitter on every state in the country, we’ve had enough of this. Instagram takes second with nine hundred million, and in the first place, as everyone miserably knows, is Facebook. Two billion people are on Facebook, nearly a third of all the people on Earth. That should be good for Americans since it is an American company.

But it isn’t.

Facebook has been the enemy since at least 2015. I ended up falling down the political rabbit-hole because of Facebook ads spreading around fake news attacks on Hillary Clinton. It didn’t seem like Karl Rove or the Koch Brothers, either. I was reminded of Wal-Mart in Taos, and I entered the fray in dead earnest. I have been here every day since then, watching as resurgent fascism begins to sweep like wildfire over the world.

The battlefield back then as now was cybernetic, and our struggle was the first proxy war we had fought with the Russians since Afghanistan. Of the many battles we have fought in since then, 99 out of 100 have been on Facebook. There’s a movement around, #DeleteFacebook, and this is to be recommended with the highest degree of seriousness for John Q. Citizen. But for us, it isn’t an option. For all its many flaws, Facebook is where we reach most of our people, and that is worth any possible risk to me.

Before that, I always thought it was just something for old ladies to trade pictures of their cats on- and it is. Cat pictures are about the only thing you’re not getting in trouble for these days.

Because of what Facebook has done to us this week, and why, it’s going to be harder than usual for us to get this article out. Make no mistake at all; they are suppressing loyal Democrats online.

The big thing is that they unpublished our dear good Millennial Democrats- Hawaii Page. 3.1 thousand Likes. We often reach upwards of a hundred thousand weekly. Our Directory Page, Millennial Democrats-America has now been shadowbanned, e.g. our posts are denied access to their News Feed. We were supposed to get off restriction today, but for the fourth week in a row, the first post-not in any way in violation of Facebook’s Terms of Service- was enough to restrict us with a shadowban again. For years they denied they even knew what shadowbanning was, and then a month or two ago they actually patented it. Lol.

Ohio and Oregon are likewise restricted, which is odd since Ohio is not a busy state for us. I guess they figured it was for good measure. Four of our friends are on restriction, and for nothing. Facebook is not even warning people anymore. Two of our friends have had their actual accounts deactivated, again with no reason and they also have disabled even our ability to Report that our Page is broken. They do not respond to our appeals. They literally will not accept our pleas.

Facebook deactivated our Page, and then refused even to let us file a report asking for help, as you can see in the picture.
Facebook deactivated our Page, and then refused even to let us file a report asking for help, as you can see in the picture.

You ever saw that movie Hobo with a Shotgun? Rutger Hauer, you know? Great movie. Rutger looks like he’s been abusing methamphetamine, but that’s part of its charm. It reminds me of the Facebook algorithm. Because what Mark Zuckerberg has done is to take that infamous algorithm they use as a weapon of suppression millions of times more powerful than Bull Connor’s police dogs and file it down to a hair-trigger. Now it blows up at anything, whether it be true or not.

We are tired of fighting this alone.

It is time for the big boys to get involved. Feel free to consider us a resource, guys. This guy here, who threatened to kill me? I would like nothing better than the chance to impale him-with the law.

And there you have it; a psychopathic hacker sending emails threatening murder. Whether or not you agree with me isn't the point. I am an American, your countryman. If Warren does win, these same people will be attacking you. Be careful, fellow Democrats, not to make a devil's bargain. We are not enemies in my eyes, just opponents for now. I don't want to see you lot get killed, even if you don't return my sentiments.
And there you have it; a psychopathic foreign hacker sending emails to Democrats threatening murder.

What we face now is an information struggle, friends and countrymen, and the prize is the soul of the world order. They want to bring in the awful hybrid socialism used in places like China and Hungary. Will we continue along in the proud liberal American tradition that has brought us to our perch atop the world? Or will we let some slimebag techie like Mark Zuckerberg pick and choose our presidents for us, along with savage dictators like Vladimir Putin? For a real Democrat, there is no choice to make at all. We’re going to fight them.

And we’re asking for your help. Tell everyone you know. Call your local Representatives, write to your Senators. You can skip the White House, though. These days the assaults on our country are being ordered from it.

A Media Monopoly- Koch Network Funds Time Inc. Buyout.

Wicked adversaries

History has taught us that the media industry in Washington is capable of posing a considerable threat to our democracy. It stands to reason that a sound and empowered federal regulation ought to exist, one capable of holding media outlets accountable. There’s got to be a mechanism overseeing the news, to see it stays within the bounds of reason.

Hardly any such protections exist, however, and haven’t since the FCC disposed of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. President Bill Clinton observed this is not a topic frequently discussed by the media giants who govern our screens.

The world of American media is currently going through some fundamental changes. As part of this massive transformation, media companies have dramatically increased efforts to wield influence in Washington.

With a massive lobbying presence, and a steady dose of campaign donations to politicians on both sides of the political spectrum, big media has been pressuring the government to allow it more consolidation. A corollary goal involves privatizing and commodifying the internet.

The media controls the information flow. It has acquired an unparalleled power to reach into people’s lives. If consolidated and twisted to authoritarian purposes, it would turn into a weapon of terrifying strength. Any would-be dictator would naturally perceive this as well, and seek to acquire it.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise to see that the Koch Brothers are providing $500 million of the cash needed to buy out Time Magazine.

Meredith Corp., a magazine publisher and broadcast company, will acquire Time Inc. in a deal totalling $2.8 billion, the company announced Sunday.

The Koch brothers are the domestic source of most of the worst indignities we have suffered these last ten years. All of this is a part of their grand strategy to eliminate government interference from the business sector. Anti-monopoly laws, anti-pollution laws, anti-public aid laws. These things cost the likes of Koch Industries a lot of money every year. This is why they are willing to spend so much to get rid of them in the long run.

They are the money behind many Republicans like Scott Walker, for example, the governor of Wisconsin who used a lousy backdoor bill to cripple the school system there. It was a crucial step in breaking the backs of unions nationwide and in inciting conservatives to wickedness.

If the Koch Network comes to dominate the American media, it will probably come to dominate the American government shortly thereafter.

If that happens, all hope of turning humanity back from the road to ruin it has started down is lost.

Stephen Hawking warned in July that if we don’t desist from the course we’ve been on, global warming will become so bad that Earth will “become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees Celsius, and raining sulfuric acid.”

He also predicted that humanity’s natural greed would prevent us from properly addressing the problem.

None of this matters to the Koch brothers, however, whose fervent commitment to libertarianism- laissez-faire, dog-eat-dog capitalism- coincides precisely with their foremost, bottom-line interest: the elimination of government regulations aimed at containing toxic pollution and ozone-damaging emissions.

Koch companies are spewing these everywhere. Around the country, around the clock. And the only power strong enough to hold them accountable is the government.

However, there is one sure way they can succeed in tipping the balance against governmental regulation.

Seizing control of the government itself.

The Kochs have been planning this out for a long time. Their father, Fred Koch, was a co-founder of the John Birch Society, which can fairly be considered the centre of neo-conservative politics.

The trademark tenets of its philosophy include liberalism being the root of all evil, mistrust and hostility toward persons of color and other groups of at-risk persons, and a deep seeded fear of change. It is typified by racism, nationalism, and an ideologically devoid will to power. It carries within it the essence and spirit of fascism.

This is why they are paying so much money to take control of Time Magazine is one of the most highly recognizable and respected magazines in the world. To buy it out and fashion it into a vehicle of their propaganda would carry obvious strategic significance.

The tactic is to manipulate the national dialectic through their control of mouthpieces in the right-wing media. Recent shows like The Young Turks suggest their ideas have begun taking root on the left as well. This reality has to be faced and fully realized before counter-efforts will prove effective.

In 1983, journalist and professor Ben Bagdikian published his groundbreaking book, The Media Monopoly, which revealed that just 50 corporations owned 90 percent of the media. That number has gradually dwindled over the years and eventually led us to our current crisis, where more than 90 percent of the media is owned by just six companies: Viacom, News Corporation, Comcast, CBS, Time Warner and Disney.

To take control of the media once and for all, they have only to conquer these six companies. Here, we can look to Russia for a model. Putin did it in the post-Yeltsin era within a couple of years, with a nearly identical strategy.

The concept of the media they share, however, is a far cry from the First Amendment. For Putin and the Kochs, it’s a simple equation. Whoever owns the media controls what it says.

Putin pursues a two-pronged media strategy. At home, his government clamps down on internal communications while at the same time positioning abroad by deploying RT, the international news agency formerly known as Russia Today to challenge Western ideas and warp the lines of truth.

However, there is one key difference. Putin controls Russia’s government so thoroughly that he basically is Russia’s government.

The Koch brothers do not yet hold such power here.

So that is what they’re after. By way of achieving this goal, they have targeted the center with a political pincer attack. Their plan is to employ both ends of the radical spectrum with candidates in line with their philosophies and take over from within.

2016 Libertarian Party Presidential candidate Gary Johnson pointed out during the cycle that “Interestingly enough, the candidate I most often side with, on 73% of the issues, is Bernie Sanders”.

Putin spoke highly of Bernie as well. And it seems an unlikely coincidence that the Justice Democrats, a Sanders-affiliated organization started by Young Turks founder Cenk Uygur, have targeted Democrats nationwide in primary challenges.

“It is time for them to step aside and let us lead. If you want unity, we’re ready to lead,” Uygur said on his popular internet TV show, The Young Turks.

The sheer brazen insolence! How many Presidents have you helped get elected, Cenk? Worthless as can be. Good for nothing but hurting real Democrats.

Any reasonably intelligent person ought to see this is a time when every dollar should be focused on targeting the GOP and waking our country up from the nightmare we’ve been in since last November. We should be sticking together like the opposition is.

As we prepare to enter the New Year, we’re going to be seeing these themes arise time and again. These are all topics we’ve covered before. Media consolidation. Anti-union sentiment. Attacks of governmental regulation of all kinds. It all comes down to economic slavery gift-wrapped with a fancy word, libertarianism.

2018 is the year that we start taking back our country. The only way we’ve got a shot at cleaning all this up is to retake the Congress. All our energies will be given to keeping #TheBlueWave alive.

There is a reasonable alternative to the pandemonium created by conservative greed and the current administration. Please join us in the task of helping the concept evolve.

Democrats Rally in State Elections, Preparing to Sweep 2018.

Tomorrow, on November 7, Millennial Democrats will be joining our mentors from prior generations in participating fully in these crucial, yet oft-neglected elections. It has all the makings of a very big day.

Many of us, including the editor of Millennial Democrats, had never before voted in an off-year election or even thought much about them. Barack Obama chided us for this recently, and we have heard him. We won’t make that mistake this year.

2016 has become the race that never ends. When Trump won, nobody went back to sleep. Things never returned to business as usual.

The country has realized it has made a mistake.

As a result, this year, people are paying very close attention.

The APA has been conducting its Stress in America poll every year since 2007. The most recent provided an upsetting commentary on our collective state of mind. It found that 63 percent of Americans currently feel that the future of the country is a very significant source of stress in their lives.

59 percent of us said this is the “lowest point in our nation’s history that they can remember.”

People are in pain. They see confusion all around them. Economic challenges are getting worse. Disinformation and frustration have both taken a toll. We are going through it with everybody else because we are everybody else. However, it is precisely this shared sorrow that will allow us to make our voices heard.

Democrats have a plan. We have specifics. They’re all right there in that most progressive of documents, the 2016 Presidential Democratic Party Platform. We have continued to provide a sane and decent alternative to an increasingly messy ordeal. We will keep our noses to the grind and refuse to give in. And eventually, we will succeed.

We are coming together. We are going to start taking back our country from the cannibal Republicans who have stolen it. Here are the people we are rallying behind.

This off-year election will feature gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey. It will feature as well state legislative elections in both houses of the New Jersey Legislature and in the lower house of the Virginia legislature.

Five Special elections to the United States House of Representatives have already taken place this year. One other House seat and one other Senate seat still have yet to be filled. Numerous mayoral races and a variety of other local elections will be taking place as well.

As of September 27, Democrats have picked up a total of eight Republican-held seats as a result of special elections from New York, New Hampshire, and Oklahoma.

This combined with how close we came to winning last year in districts considered to be unwinnable by any Democrat suggests strongly that we’ve got everything it takes in 2018 to overcome the large mathematical disadvantages peculiar to this year’s electoral map.

Take the Jon Ossoff- Karen Handel race last spring. Georgia’s Sixth District has been red since 1979.  We came within a hair of taking it. $23 million was raised for that race.

Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe is sadly leaving office due to term restrictions. He was an excellent governor who consistently earned high marks on Virginia’s economy. He also, unlike the president, spoke out strongly against the mayhem in Charlottesville over the summer that led to the senseless murder of Heather Heyer by a mutated mongrel, a nameless Nazi pig.
The race to replace him, however, has focused not on the economy, but rather on a continuation of 2016. It has essentially been a proxy war between the two competing parties, which has typified every race since November 9th of last year. Hard to believe it’s been a year already. It all feels like the same long month. Trump has cast his big orange shadow over everything.
According to the final poll from Christopher Newport University being released before the election, Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam held a solid and persistent advantage over his Republican opponent Ed Gillespie as of this morning and is considered the favorite.
Meanwhile, in New Jersey, outgoing Republican Gov. Chris Christie has had a rough time since Bridgegate with the public. He neglected the state and its people in order to help out Trump. But Trump used and discarded him like Kleenex after the transitioning to the White House was done.
These are just a few of the reasons that record-low approval ratings hover mightily over the contest to replace him. Christie is a prototypical example of what lies in wait for politicians who signed on with Donald Trump during this horrible time in our history. They’ll all get to have a taste of what is being done to Colin Kaepernick. See how they like being blacklisted.
His lieutenant governor, Republican candidate Kim Guadagno, has tried to distance herself from Christie’s disasters, but the odds of this are not very good. Former US Ambassador to Germany Phil Murphy, the Democratic nominee, has led consistently in the polls, spending tens of millions of dollars out of pocket on the race. At this point, a Murphy loss would be a shocking upset.
Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio is also expected to cruise to reelection.  Republican Nicole Malliotakis and two third-party candidates who lost the Democratic primary are about as second-rate as it gets. Perhaps after they lose, Trump will find Cabinet jobs for them.
Former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz joined the earliest members of the GOP who could not stand the zoo anymore and retired mid-term, citing that it was “Time to get off the gravy train”. This was big for us. Upon leaving Chaffetz vacated the gavel of the House’s oversight committee. That’s a position of power that we might now possibly take.
It does have to be realized that this seat is in a solid red, reliably Republican district of Utah. Provo Mayor John Curtis, the Republican candidate, is favored to win against Democratic candidate Kathie Allen, but there’s every reason to hope for an upset, especially with Russiagate reaching epic proportions by the day now.

Today, we’re going to be doing every last thing we can think of to help our people, wherever they may be. Sharing articles, hitting threads, making phone calls.

Yesterday evening, Democratic candidate Ralph Northam released a report proving that Russian bots have been interfering in their race on his opponent Ed Gillespie’s behalf just as they did for Trump last year. No way are we going to let those people go into a fight alone. We have to back him up, and we’ve got to do it now.

This is Election Week. Tomorrow is our day. We have got to win tomorrow everywhere else we have a chance. We need those Governor’s Mansions. That is where our attention is needed, and that is where we’re going to put it. Our work is cut out for us.

Today, we will do everything we can think of to give our support and love to Ralph Northam of Virginia, Bill de Blasio of New York City, and all of the other brave people who have stood up to be our leaders. We have come to a time when we need good leaders more than ever. We will stand by them, and our hearts are with them. Now, let’s hit these phones and threads!!!!!!!!!
