The Dark Side of Digital Politics 1-Red Tide and Radical Information Pipeline (RIP).

Good evening, folks! It’s been a little while since I’ve gotten anything out to you; please forgive me. This article, inspired and made necessary by the hackers who are always trying to hack this Democratic blog offline, ended up becoming a series of its own volition.

The story of how Donald Trump became president is an interesting and unique moment in history, in addition to being a rotten and horrible one, at least in the sense that it is definitive as a what may well prove to be a political event horizon, e.g. The boundary defining the region of space around politics from which nothing, not even light, can escape. It always has been true that everything is political, but now, it seems, everyone is destined to get dragged in sooner or later.

Trump’s rise to power set off at top speed a series of terrible events started by Brexit, Great Britain’s chaotic referendum to up and leave the European Union as though it were worthless. The two taken together were like a quick one-two punch from a flyweight that staggered a titan, and we have been recovering ever since. Materially we are still the stronger side, and we will get through this- but only if we rise up together and insist on it.

The European Union is not something to underestimate the value of. Tens of millions of people in World War II, the bloodiest conflict the world has ever known, died before an arrangement was made in Europe that stopped the fighting for good- to become one and hold peace together as one. Yet even now the problem looms closer than ever; the deadline for the original deadline has been reached and breached. Boris Johnson, a right-wing figure cut from the Donald Trump mold, helped to create the Brexit mess in the first place yet has now been elected prime minister. one can only imagine what he’ll do about cleaning it up.

Since World War II ended, there has never been a serious threat of direct war between two nuclear powers. This is largely due to two factors other than nukes- the will to maintain democracy on the part of the European Union and the United States of America. When the Soviet Union collapsed, even Russia had a time when they aspired to be Democrats themselves, but they tumbled back into oligarchy under the gangster regime of Vladimir Putin. Those who have studied him say the best way to understand his motives is to study humiliation; be that as it may. These days he is sullen, aging, and equipped with hypersonic nuclear missiles. He also has an unending supply of rubles to spread around chaos with, since he considers all of Russia to be his, according to Putin’s Banker Sergey Pugachev who now lives in fear of his ex-boss, practically on the run.

Notorious right-wing figures have succeeded him in prominence since his rise to power, such as Marine Le Pen of France and Juan Bolsonaro of Brazil. Human rights abuses have taken place on a scale that can only be described as massive in many countries, such as Jinping Xi’s China locking up a million Uighur Muslims for refusing to drink beer and the Trump administration’s heartless policy of separation of immigrant parents from the children who are part of them. Spontaneous outbreaks of racist words and behavior symbolic of what has collectively become what I call the Red Tide, the ominously rising anti-democratic force that is trying to undo the fabric of our world’s very order.

The tale I am telling chronicles a story that’s been developing for years-the rising Red Tide of right-wing anger we are seeing worldwide and the Radical Information Pipeline (R.I.P.) its contributors have created is quite real.

Places like Reddit and 4chan are well known and familiar to most who are interested in the topic, 8chan, and Fok! a little less so. Students of the topic might know about some deep web analogs and be able to tell you that sites like the now-defunct ShadowCrew or Counterfeitlibrary were the predecessors of such places, and so on.

But the truth is that there are practically innumerable forums out there like this that are moving data back and forth and through. Tracking down all of these specific ends and starting to form a mosaic out of all these random online odds and ends took a bit of doing to produce.

It got done, though.

Regular readers will be familiar with most of these characters already, e.g. Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, Julian Assange, Paul Manafort, and many more. But as their stories are the flesh of the larger story it may be helpful to review. The Russian effort to interfere with our 2016 presidential elections and again in our 2018 midterm Congressional elections, where we smashed the Red Tide with our Blue Wave-but, not for good. Time has answered some questions about how the Russian president is in some way in a leverage position over the American one, but many more remain. Due to the tumult of the age, the process of addressing them has become voluminous. And everything I have ever written about, I’ve been attacked for by the computer criminals you’re about to meet.

In the beginning, I had no reason to assume any of them were connected, but now that we are twelve hundred or so hacking attempts into their assault on our ideas, I have come to believe otherwise.

The reason why I realized with awe over time, is because they’re all in the mix together, both with one other and with notable figures all over the planet who are in one way or another connected both by radical ideology and an information system bewildering to behold. Their story is one of a vast interconnection of lowlifes, murderers, criminals, pederasts, and stalkers who hang out on a forum-seriously. In addition to their deviant ways, they are variously connected to the Russians.

They all but live in a secret world, a place made up of cybernetic doors and hallways. A great deal of information you won’t find suggested by Google takes a walk through these networks and routers. And in one way or another, it all seems to benefit one man- the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, former intelligence officer, and all-around bad guy.

I’ve definitely been writing, never fear. The Radical Information Pipeline is the name I have given to the interconnected and shadowy places I have come across while tracking down these hackers. It’s like a telegraph system, meant to transmit radiolike waves of anger and extremism. The lies that smashed up Hillary Clinton’s White House chances were passed behind everyone’s back through one part of it or another.

All over the Internet, on the deep web and the clearnet both, this type of cranny is where participators in on the dirt come to create the hell we’ve been living through in Donald Trump’s America. It goes all the way around the world and was not easy to write. Yet even in my inactive times, the hackers come like dutiful butlers every day like clockwork. Thanks for hanging in there with me-to readers and hackers alike!

This story, in which yours truly is forced to take on the best and the angriest computer experts in the world singlehandedly just for writing about politics, is one of the relations between the specific and the general.

What is happening to me, e.g. getting savagely attacked by the world’s creepiest people, is happening to Democrats on and offline. Friends of mine have been hacked, stolen from, stalked at home. Their pets have been photographed, their cars have been vandalized. I even know a person who had someone follow their children to school. It is very real and should be feared. Need proof? Here’s the guy behind the ninth hacking attempt ever made against me, on October 12, 2017.

The ninth hacking attempt ever made on the Millennial Democrats was this man, an officer in the feared Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) was one of thirteen Russian nationals charged by Russiagate special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

This is Sergey Alexandrovich Morgachev. He is a Russian intelligence officer and one of the dozen Russian nationals charged with crimes by the FBI by Robert S. Mueller III, collateral damage of the Russiagate investigation. Russiagate and the nightmare of 2015-16 were the prelude to this story and remain central figures in it now. The other hackers are not different than Morgachev, most of the time.

This is the whois registry for Sergey Alexandrovich Morzhov (Morgachev) who is on the FBI Most Wanted Cyber List. Not so hot to be a target of that guy.

This is the alert I got from my beloved security plugin, Sucuri, giving me Morgachev’s IP address post-bruteforce hack attempt. It isn’t just me, either. After publishing an article with the utterly true name I Said Tulsi Gabbard was a Trashy Garbage Person and the Russians Tried to Hack My Blog, Russians did indeed try to hack her that same night. She figured it out just like I do, after a similar IP information site revealed him to be Russian.

Ho ho, I thought, grinning as I opened up good old whois and got ready to track him down. I succeeded in under five minutes.

His name is Anton Kamynin, and he is the Technical Director at Moscow ISP Morton Telecom. Here’s him, with no further ado. Check him out on Medium and tell him what you think of his bullying ways.

This one’s for you Bravenak. Call it a gift, from one Democrat to another.

So why was a killer like this Morgachev or this shady Telecom guy Kamynin trying to track me down and hack my website, or that of the Brave News Blog? Power. Naked power. We both write about politics, and politics are about power. Any sort of involvement with it at all is a game with the highest of stakes. Those who seek it out will always find those who seek to restrain its baleful influence to be enemies.

We as Democrats are by definition the guardians of American democracy, that bastion of freedom that upholds the entire world order, an order the Red Tide was created to and threatens to subsume. So long as we’re around, the radicals will always be opposed.

Clearly there are many among their number who would simply prefer that we were not around.

If you are a Democrat and you suspect you have been targeted, you are almost certainly not being paranoid. It is probably not just you. Be careful. There is nothing to be done for it; just don’t succumb to despair or fear or ugliness. That’s their way. Train, and take care. We can beat them. And we have to.

In the United States of America, the anti-liberal democratic trend has been going on for a while. The World Freedom Index, a non-governmental organization that measures a state’s given level of democracy by looking at stuff like a free press and meaningful elections, has concluded that our once brave land of the free is no longer a democracy, even now, and hasn’t been since 2017 when Trump took power.

It is probable as well that the radicals dislike us even more than they dislike the average Democrat, because we will speak out and tell the story like it is. We are not afraid of them and we know they can be licked. But it’s still all the same fight. The goals we are pursuing here at Millennial Democrats are precisely in accordance with those of the Democratic Party in general, whose leaders we venerate as elders who are worth deferring to. They are also in accordance with and in solidarity with the goals of many other democratic movements and groups worldwide.

We have to restore and prepare to permanently safeguard our democracy as the Founding Fathers did in the beginning, and if we are not the titans now that they were, we will cheerfully go through all the hardship and rigor that they did in order to become them. We have no choice because the task is both large and a matter of survival.

This is necessary not only to reverse this country’s current undemocratic state of affairs. To make sure our children grow up with the same rights we enjoyed, we’ve got to make sure it stays reversed real good.

To do that, We the People have to rise up peacefully and in resolute calm change our world by organizing together to exert our democratic strength, through legal proceedings and the system. The best times in any civilization’s history are always the ones where goodheartedness and consensus have been allowed to rule in the absence of a despot. We don’t want a revolution. We want an evolution that makes sense and has a human heart in it.

This is why all the people who do want a revolution are mad at me.

Since around the time of Franklin Roosevelt, it’s been dangerous to be the people’s friend in America, without any shadow of a doubt. He got elected on a platform to help the poor people who had been so ravaged by the Great Depression regain jobs and self-respect.

So what did the Republicans think, you ask?

“This is despotism, this is tyranny, this is the annihilation of liberty!” wrote Republican Senator Henry D. Hatfield of West Virginia to a colleague. He was not alone. Then as now, dissatisfied and disaffected men will get together and make violent trouble. The scheme they came up with was crushed by a hero named General Smedley Butler.

He was a Democrat, too.

Right-wingers in the government once plotted a coup in our government to murder and overthrow the best president we ever had, FDR, who brought an end to the Great Depression and the Nazis both, because he was a Democrat. He was elected four times. They could not beat him on a level field of play- so they hated him.

The bums will always lose, Hackers. The bums will always lose.

That’s to say nothing of President John F. Kennedy, shot dead in a motorcade parade by a cowardly weasel assassin. All of Lee Harvey Oswald’s friends were Nazis.

The reason why I’ve taken the trouble to compile it all is that I want you all to see what you are up against. These are the faces of the people who are trying to hurt us, you and me alike. This is and has been true. During the election, we were viciously set on by radicals of both persuasions. Until we got together and started to organize, we were gone after like bait dogs at Michael Vick’s house.

The story of these hackers who are trying to take out us Millennial Democrats illustrates vividly why all Democrats could use some extra bodies at their backs. It’s a risk for us all, but most don’t get to see it so up-and-personal close because they aren’t blogging on WordPress, which is where these hackers fire their shots at me.

I get to see it up close clearly because I have had foreign hackers of the highest possible skill set try to hack us (unsuccessfully) offline more than twelve hundred different times now. Just earlier today I was fired on by hackers coming through yet another Torservers.net clients, one Hart Voor Internetvrijheid from the Netherlands. I’ll look them up more thoroughly later; when I Googled them, though, along with “right-wing” and “computer crime, this is the site that popped up.

It’s the old concept of the microcosm reflecting the macrocosm. A tiny cell’s experience is also that of the whole. “No man is an island”, said Bishop John Donne, “complete of himself; each is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.”

And that was four hundred years before the Internet. These days you would simply ping an IP address if you needed to find out for whom the bell tolls.

It tolls for me, at least so far as these hackers are concerned.

The profile on the people you will meet, people who have entered my radar on the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN) is kind of sad, really. They really are a brilliant set, by any reckoning. They are the most consummate technical engineers on the planet. Good writers, programmers, researchers, founders of companies. A few of them are even billionaires.

But they all seem to have in common that they don’t seem to be happy or feel appreciated because that is always the case with bullies. I think that’s sad. I have enjoyed reading their writing, visiting their websites, and learning all about their interesting lives.

I don’t wish one of them any harm; we ought to be able to respect each other’s personal humanity. I don’t wish Donald Trump or even Vladimir Putin dead, although the latter surely is a murderer. When Bernie Sanders had his heart attack, we still wished him the best as an organization. But just look at Morgachev up there. If a guy like that is out to get you, you had better really learn to watch your step.

In Part Two we will take a closer look at the hackers who’ve been paying visits to me, a generously accurate cross-sampling of them. We’re going to go over why all this happened and what set up the stage for it.. Take this guy here, the Norway Killer, Anders Breiving Breivik. He’s got some good friends among these folks. It’s an interesting story.

This is Anders Behring Breivik, the Norway Killer.

Coming up ahead, we’re going to meet a lot of interesting people.
